Denny’s

Horrible! My food was over cooked and the service was terribly slow.
We got there at 6am on a Sunday Morning, literally there was 2 other tables with customers in the restaurant, and 1 was not being served by our waiter. We had to ask for coffee multiple times. There was ONE person cooking so there for we didn’t get our food until 6:45am. We asked for more coffee because ours was cold after WAITING for the food, and we never received it. Once we finally got our food it was burnt and overcooked (shrimp, chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks). I never received a refill on my WATER after asking! There wasn’t enough customers in the freaking restaurant for such poor service. It wasn’t like our waiter was soooooo busy with a bunch of customers. Disgusted, and Denny’s is my go to restaurant.

We always used to stop here for breakfast on our way to Richmond but lately, each time we stop here is worse than the last. This was our last time – we will not be returning. We were told to seat ourselves so we did. There were only 2 other tables with people so they were not busy at all. We waited forever just to get our menu, waited even longer for our food, which wasn’t even what we ordered. Meanwhile, the couple at the next table were being doted on. Not sure what that was about but don’t care. We were so upset that for the first time EVER, we did not leave a tip and instead, left it as a donation for a fallen officer’s family at our next stop. I gave it one star because you can’t give none!

Piss poor service food was cold I’m done !! The kitchen couldn’t keep up people around me got cold food sending it back and it took the sever forever to get us coffee and receipt

My server was awful. I asked for crayons multiple times and no this is not a joke. She hasn’t done anything we’ve asked, hasn’t checked in on us and everything takes her entirely too long. We asked multiple times for refills and she still didn’t listen. Worst experience I’ve ever had. The server is Sherri from New York. She was the worst server. Originally she was looking at a 20% tip, but she needs a life tip first. Slow down and quit your job you are horrible.

So i called the other night on the 30^th of Nov 2015 when i got off work to place an order for pick up. A lady picked up the phone and i stated i would like to place an order for pick up. She said «sure hold on one second». That second turned into 10 minutes before i finally decided to hang up. This is would have been my 1^st time trying Denny’s at this location even after reading the previous reviews i still wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. It was 1:30 am so i’m sure they weren’t that busy. After i hung up i called Silver Diner asked them the same thing the lady took my order immediately and even offered suggestions. Moral of the story Go with your gut. Poor customer service Denny’s. Definitely need to do some retraining. I would have even been happy if they came back to the phone and apologized and said it will just be a couple more minutes. Good Customer service is a must!!!

The four of us for who stopped in for breakfast on Sunday morning were lucky enough to get seated at one of the nicest, most professional waitress’s with an incredible memory and a great personality… her name was MARIE. She remembered which of us had regular coffee, which had decaf, she helped us get the best value for our money by making menu suggestions, she was completely accommodating of our special requests. Marie was attentive without being intrusive and she was spot on even though she had a good amount of tables and the place was hopping. The food was really just ok, the scrambled eggs and the bacon were the best part of our breakfasts. The coffee was pretty good as well. The pancakes were a bit lacking, I-HOP’s are MUCH better. The sausage links were a bit dry. Having Marie as our waitress made the minor food taste/​quality tolerable. Just OK food.

We ate here on Saturday October 26, 2015. I think this was our last time at a Denny’s. After sitting at a table in the middle in front of the area the servers walk thru in an empty restaurant, we waited for a server. And waited. And waited finally she took our drink order and walked away. When we ordered she kept talking over us and asked us to repeat what we told her.
We asked for salads and they cane only a few minutes before the entrée. So we had the table full of food that got cold. And missing some things we ordered.
My steak was over cooked, mashed potatoes dry and cold, and french fries child and soggy. Our appetizers didn’t come until long after we were done eating.
Just really really bad.

I’ve come here twice in the past few months. My experience was a lot better than my previous review from 2013! Yay! The food was good and the service was great both times! I like the sandwiches and pancakes. Also the fact that they are open at 1am is great because silver diner is way too overpriced.

This is the worst service I have ever endured at an Denny’s restaurant franchise. I had to have the manager track down my waitress just so I could put my order in, he took my order and she brought it out. My waitress acted as she had attitude when I asked for a refill on my coffee and a glass of water. She also disappeared a few times — and it was not busy in there, so I have no idea what she was doing. The food was at the Denny’s expectation. I remained very calm and polite despite her bad service, but I am writing a bad review.

This place is going or has gone down hill faster than the service you’ll receive.
First, you have to wait at any given time or day to be seated. Once you’re seated, the smell of sour dish towels and carpet mildew will overwhelm you!
Now…wait to be served. Wait… wait…ok! Your server finally arrived and takes your order. But wait! Make sure you get all your condiments once your food arrives because your server will turn into Casper (the ghost)! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to get up and get my own water, sugar, hot sauce, etc.
Finally…I can leave this stinking place! Please get my bill right… because management will be of no help!
Next time, I’ll go to Bob Evans down the street!

I only ever get one thing from here and that’s zesty nachos with extra cheese and meat with a cherry coke. Its always pretty good never had a problem with it. There seemed to be a disconnect between the cooks and waitresses sometimes, but an ok spot with good cheap food, its been awhile I think I am do for my zesty nachos again.

Stopped here around 5:15am and was approached before even entering and advise that they have no servers for another 45 mins and they could not serve me. If you have a cook and a manager on site is the manager not good enough to wait on a customer? Only two other cars in the parking lot… I will not go back here again…

Over 35 minutes for a breakfast sandwich on a weekday is not acceptable. Especially when tables that got here after us were served. I usually have a good experience here but this time was real bad. I got my sandwich but my daughter did not get her food for 5 minutes afterwards. I really hope this is not a trend.

I was sitting there for a couple of minutes, no one came over to ask if I needed help but a older couple walked in and were barely seated when the waiter flew over to serve them. I immediately got up and left. Bias servers standing around not doing anything, not wanting to serve me cause I’m young and they probably think I won’t tip but I always tip $ 10 or more *if deserved). Oh well there lost!

Good if you want a plate of greasy stale sausages and eggy slop on a plate. You have to be a person who really doesn’t care what kind of crap you eat as long as your eating. I wouldn’t feed this food to my dog. I want to live a long healthy life, sorry.

Went here this morning around 5:00am after work. Custom service was good. Food, negative.
When i order and pay the cost I expect to get a plate that the C.E.O. of the establishment would get. The food should look attractive an inviting. My grilled BBQ chicken sandwich was tossed together with no effort.
Asked for a side of bbq sauce, came out cold. If you’re serving food put effort into it. Be proud of your end product. Clearly this meal from the Dennys on Crain Hwy was part of the 47% senator Romney spoke of.

The food was as good as you would expect from a place like this. The problem was the service. There were maybe six tables with people at them and it took 15 min. For us to get our check. The waitress passed by about 4 times looked at us and our table where we had already stacked our dishes and asked for a box. Even after I asked for the check she continued to take her time.

I never blame bad food on a waiter or waitress. They don’t cook, they’re just the middle person. That being said, this is why I give two stars our waiter did a good job. That’s it. 1^st we got pancakes and when we were cutting them up, there were two USED sugar packet wrappers under the pancakes. We got eggs over hard, came over easy. ½ of everyone’s bacon was burnt to inedible condition and everyone that ordered toast, it was served cold. The manager was aware of everything going on and could not care less. Won’t be back

Always a good choice for breakfast, lunch or Dinner. This is not the same Denny’s as the one of my youth!

This is the only Denny’s in the area and i have to say I prefer it to the Waldorf IHOP. The have DirecTV and open at 5AM. I personally like coming to this location after I work nights because it’s open and fresh. Can’t really say I’ll come here for lunch or dinner only because I prefer their breakfasts.
