After spending a week in Connecticut and Maine, it’s hard to get excited about another rendition of blueberry pancakes. The pancake textures vary considerably from one restaurant to another, as do the quantity and type of blueberries used. Deb’s Diner offers an outstanding version with plenty of wild blueberries bunched in an oversized buttermilk pancake that is light but satisfying. More unusual, Deb’s Diner offers several kinds of homemade bread. The wonderful wheat bread made a simple 2 eggs and toast breakfast a memorable meal. Lacking in kitsch, Deb’s Diner appears to cater to locals more than tourists. It offered us a low — key but worthy last meal in Maine as we prepared to head home to the Midwest.

Deb’s is what a diner should be… homemade bread, homemade hash, omelets that fill up the plate. we’ve eaten there several times and it just gets better and better. This past visit I had the clam chowder which was just loaded with whole clams and my daughter had a burger with homemade fries. Very small, but if you want real, local food Deb’s is the place to visit. She does daily specials and makes homemade pies although you may need to take your pie«to go» because the portions are so generous!

Really very nice diner with limited hours. Fresh hash with real potatoes and veg. Tiny but so much better to wait for than moodys nearby(not the same that place).

A $ 7 plate of eggs, fried potatoes and biscuits with gravy was among the tastiest breakfasts I’ve ever eaten… and I’m in my fifties. Straightforward and delicious, fairly priced. Low key, neighborhood vibe.

It’s a very small place that is a little hard to get into its so busy. The service is pretty good but food coming out extremely slow for 10:30 in morning. The food itself was very good and all homemade very good hash and great homemade bread I will say I did not think the home fries were that good, but portions were large and tasty. The place is clean and seems pretty well ran and it’s where all the regulars go for sure. Cheers

Great homemade breakfast made with heart! The food was much tastier than the big place up the road. A very relaxed atmosphere where each plate is cooked separately. Seems to be a local’s favorite, too! Staff very sweet like the blueberry muffin!

We took a chance when the busier more popular diner down the street had to wait we went to Deb’s diner and we were not disappointed. The smell of baked bread greeted us and we were seated right away and I had a standard omelette with grilled home fries and homemade wheat toast and it was delicious my son had the sausage gravy and biscuits with eggs and home fries and it looked great. Our other dining companion chose pancakes eggs and sausage and well one side of the pancakes were one minute over there was nothing left on his plateso it could not have been too bad. The pastries at Deb’s Dina were very enticing and included pies whoopsies and amazing looking bismarcks. The service was quick and efficient The prices were more than fair And rather than wait down the street I would highly recommend Deb’s diner

Stopped on the way to Acadia. Fast food and service, and the lobster BLT wrap was awesome!

I usually stop at the better known Moody’s down the street but decided I’d try Deb’s. Food was excellent. I had the special Haddock fish chowder — the best I’ve ever had! I also had the the special fried clam roll. It too was excellent — fresh whole clams fried to perfection. The cole slaw was great also. Deb was holding court at the counter and Jackie did a great job with the service. So far I’ll take Deb’s over Moody’s.

Deb’s is the best place in town to have breakfast or lunch. She always gets creative with her specials and has some of the best biscuits in the country. They get very busy at times because they are a pretty small place, but all the staff are very friendly and great at what they do. It’s worth the wait. You get fantastic portions for a good price. I have breakfast here at least once a week.

Tiny, very friendly little roadside diner with better food than the more-well-known Moody’s up the road. Our BLT sandwiches were perfectly made on toasted homemade bread, and the onion rings were great too. We’ll be back if ever in the area again. Not sure about their summer hours but in the fall they close at 2:30pm.

Deb’s is a great place to get home cooked food right off of route one. It is by far the best diner in Waldoboro.

We happened on Deb’s as we drove up the coast and stopped in for lunch ordering through the walk-up window. I opted for a hot dog while my wife had a grilled cheese sandwich on house made wheat bread. The staff was very friendly and directed us to the picnic tables where we ended sitting. Both sandwiches were satisfactory and we were soon back on the road.

I was visiting family in the Midcoast region of Maine and stumbled upon the very modest-looking Deb’s Diner on our way to Pemaquid Beach. Deb’s doesn’t look like much, but the food was outstanding. I had the grilled haddock platter with a side of potato salad and coleslaw. The haddock tasted so fresh and was pefectly grilled. You could tell that the side dishes were thoughtfully prepared and they tasted homemade and delicious. Service was friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for our food. I will definitely be back next time Ii’m in Maine.

This is great, thoughtfully prepared diner food. Friendly and clean. It is small, traditional and not a tourist spot. She is a great cook to go up against Moody’s, just up the road. Prices a very reasonable and onion rings prepared from scratch. Extensive menu. Be prepared to rub elbows with the locals. Try her camp breakfast. Take out available. Kid with the waitress and enjoy yourselves. The way life should be.
