Absolutely delicious and super nice. I just ordered what I as a cook would consider a super picky pain in the butt order. And without hesitation the girl said sure no problem and made it as great and fresh as I had imagined. It was cooked perfectly and you woulda thought it was something they made everyday. With the loss of my normal chinese place I have found extreme comfort in ming jies!

Gotta say this was pretty good ! I haven’t been here in years and years– so tonight we figured why not– since the other place in town is a little pricy and just ok. At Ming Jie’s the dumplings are massive, these were roughly the size of a baseball! The rest of the food was on point, no issues with sweet and sour chicken, lo mein or soup.- and it was a little crowded for a Wednesday so the staff was able to handle volume. Over all I liked the food and they people were decent when you talked to them– Give it a try if you are going out–

Everything was very good except one shrimp toast tasted off. friendly place. We had a nice Christmas Eve takeout dinner and will go back again for sure. Pretty dining room, prices and selections were great, different foods not all swimming in brown sauce either. colorful pork fried rice, very good overall !!

I’ve ordered from here many times and have always been pleased with the food. The food is very good. It is a bit pricey though. The receipts aren’t in English so it’s hard to know exactly what you are paying for. I really like the online ordering. However, today when I ordered online the total at checkout was less than the total when my food was delivered. There was no receipt in the box so I had to call to find out about the discrepancy. I had asked for fried noodles in the note section of the checkout page since there was no choice for it on the menu. I also asked for extra duck sauce. So the additional charge was 50¢ for the fried noodles and $ 1 for the duck sauce. I was told that there is a charge for more than 3 packets of duck sauce. Really??? That is just ridiculous!!! I know it’s only $ 1 but it’s the point

Where can a large Italian family get together for good food at a great price? Ming Jie’s House! This is hands down one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants in Orange County NY. The hot and sour soup is flavorful and spicy and the egg rolls aren’t overly fried or greasy. They use very good quality white meat chicken for their dishes which I love. The General Tso’s and Sesame Chicken are well sauced and not too heavy. They also have a large steamed section for those of you avoiding the fried and sauced dishes. The service is attentive and they have plenty of tables for a sit down meal. If you live close to Walden, you should make this your go-to Chinese food restaurant!

Took an hour and a half for my takeout order to be ready. All while watching multiple people come in, order and leave with their food. By the time I got my order, it was ice cold. No explanation. No apology. Do NOT recommend.

Love this place. My favorite chinese food in the hudson valley. The food is never overly sauced, the vegetables are always fresh, crunch, and not the least bit overcooked. They don’t use msg in anything they have. Try their specials, the chicken pad thai and phở are my favorites.

The food is good. The service is ok. The portions for the money not so good. I work in the city and for less money I can get more better Chinese food. THISISWALDENNOTNYC.

We’ve eaten here a few times, and gotten takeout too — it’s above-average Chinese to be sure, far less greasy than other places — but we had a bit of a misstep tonight. We ordered online, specifying the pickup time etc. Arriving precisely when the food was due to be ready, we walk in to an empty restaurant to find the chef asleep at one of the tables. He then goes over our order in a pretty haphazard way, disappears to cook it, brings it out and overcharges us for it. All without apology. Their card machine wasn’t working either, and we have yet to find out how many times we were charged. It’s not fun to feel pissed off while eating.

What happened to this place? The last two takeout orders were horrible. The wontons in my soup were barely cooked and chewed like stale gum and the broth had a sour taste to it. The noodles in the Chicken Lo Mein were also undercooked on our next order and the Moo Shu Chicken had no taste. I have to say the Chicken with Snow Peas was very good but that was about the only bight spot on our last two orders. I don’t think we will be ordering from here anymore.

When I lived in Walden, this was the ONLY place I would go for Chinese food. It was the first I had so, I don’t know how it compares to the others but, I don’t care… Ming Jie’s is that good! Each time I’m near Walden, I go there. I have had lots on the menu and loved it all. My only complaint is its hard for me to understand them on the phone. But, the food is awesome! Oh, they will let you mix and match the dinner for two for any of the«Dinner for» items.

I’ve never noticed Ming Jie’s House before, but my boyfriend and I were craving Chinese on our way back from Lake Minnewaska and decided to give it a try. It was great! Vegetarians, you have to try the General Tso’s Tofu, it is SOOO good! Not the healthiest thing in the world, but really yummy and a HUGE portion compared to my boyfriend’s chicken and broccoli(not that his was small). All of our food came out of the kitchen very quickly, and our waitress was very nice. They had some very economical«family specials» for groups of 2, 3, 4 etc. but none of the«specials for 2» were vegetarian, or I would have gone for that! I think it was only $ 15.95 for 2 entrees, rice, soups, and an appetizer. After going to Pure City I didn’t think I could eat Chinese anywhere else but Ming Jie’s House is worth a visit!
