Great location. Would love to see photos of the sorting room in action for days like today when it’s closed. And a cutaway display of the fermentation vats would have made the visit more interesting. Loved the chance to taste the new ciders and left with t shirts and a magnum bottle of special cider. Beautiful views and paths thru the orchards, worth the trip.

So great that Angry Orchard open down the street from me. I’m so glad someone is using the property to good use. Can’t wait to see what they do next, I heard maybe a restaurant. PS gets packed quick, so come early.

Beautiful venue… very well done and with a million dollar Shawangunk Mountain view! And just for showing up you get a flight of free ciders! I liked the Mad-Hop! The buldung is beautiful and walking through the orchard is makes you realize how much the scent comes through on the nose and taste of the fresh apples as well in these ciders. Enjoy the outdoor gas fireplace as you watch the sun set over the mountains. They close up at 5. So come early! An awesome exciting new venue on the map in the Hudson Valley!

It’s opening weekend at the Angry Orchard-and it was packed!!! Come here, park on site(only service dogs are allowed inside, FYI) and show your ID to get a token and apple stamp. Then, walk through the self-guided tour to learn about how cider is made, etc. Everyone gets 3 samples of cider to choose from, and the amounts are very generous(pics attached). You can sit indoors next to the lil’ gift shop or hang outside by the fireplace as you sit on the grass. You can also go apple picking as you walk in and out of this place!

Great addition to the Hudson Valley! They provide an interesting overview of the history of cider and the production process all in a beautifully constructed facility with an even better view of the orchard and Schwangunk mountains in the background. They top it all off with delicious tastings at the end! It’s a must visit in the mid-Hudson region!

Wow! What a great experience. I love hard cider, and Angry Orchard definitely sparked my interest. Upon entering the 60-acre land, you are prompted to park and embark on a little trail to the cider house. The trail is lined with apple trees(from which one of the hard cider are made from). I’m not too sure how the business will be handling tastings, but I’m guessing since its opening weekend they had a special and all tastings were free. There was quite a line to get to the tastings, but it wasn’t a boring line. You can tell Angry Orchard took the time to plan out how they were going to not only let their customers enjoy themselves but also educate themselves on the company’s history. You’re taken through a mini museum packed with pictures and old school equipment of what was used to make the cider. There’s even a little tree that shows you which areas of the country grows what apples. Everyone working there is every knowledgable about the creation process and the company’s history. It was great to hear everything while waiting. You even get to see the equipment that makes the hard cider. We were even given cider donuts and samples of cider made with the apples in house. Before the tasting you pass the gift shop where you can buy clothing and more hard ciderand a champagney type of cider(yummy!). So for the tasting I got my absolute favorite Apple Crisp, I got the Sleeper(I forgot the full name)… Man was that one powerful! It tastes more like bourbon than hard cider guys lol. The last one I got the the Dry cider, all in all my favorite still remains the same: Apple Crisp. You are allowed to sit inside and drink or go outside along one of the tables or by the fire pit. We chose the fire pit. It’s a beautiful experience. Only 1 hour from the city. Must go-to fall experience! Best wishes in business to this place.
