Wakefield Computer Hospital has helped me on numerous occasions to fix several computers. Recently, I spilled a drink on my laptop and they were able to clean the keyboard and replace the screen connector to bring my machine back to life. It felt so awesome to have someone quickly evaluate any potential damage and take charge in fixing the machine vs commenting on the spill. I had the computer back in 48 hours working fine. In the past few years, I have had hard drives replaced, one video card and some bad RAM replaced. Every-time service and communication was Top Notch. I highly recommend Wakefield Computer Hospital

Edit: They did admit they caused the second problem and fixed it. I added a second star because my review below before I had a chance to cool down, but still I’m never going here again. However, your mileage may vary. Never bring your computer here. Ever. While they fixed the problem I came in with, the computer came home with a different problem, and when I told him he’d have to fix that as well, gratis, he told me he had no way of knowing the problem wasn’t pre-existing because he didn’t have a password that would let him do more than boot it up. Which was patently wrong, because the work order that I filled out had a line for an administrative password, which I filled in with a password I’d previously set up without access to my personal files, just for this type of occasion. So he knew exactly where to find it. This kind of defensive attitude really irked me. Also, the guy who works in the shop on Saturdays doesn’t know jack about computers. Really. He says so, that he’s just the guy who watches the place on Saturdays, so I couldn’t talk with him about it when I dropped it off or picked it up. Begs the questions(1) who hires a guy for a computer store who doesn’t know computers?(2) how can a guy work in a computer repair shop not WANT to learn about repairing computers? and(3) how can you spend every gorram Saturday hanging around a computer repair shop without even absorbing the basics of computer hardware? It must be, as they say, someone’s nephew. Just as the cherry on top, they didn’t do so much as wipe the screen or brush the keyboard. It wasn’t part of the work order, but it’s the kind of little courtesy touch that makes customers feel valued. I will never go here again, and I recommend you take your business elsewhere.
