Sa-Tang!!! Is so good and reasonably priced. The Staff will go out of their way to accommodate you. I love Pad-Thai, theirs is so good, I like it with the duck. 500 thumbs up!!!

This is the best restaurant I have ever been to. The food is soooo good and consistent. The pad Thai and pad Kee mow with duck are unreal. I have since tried several other Thai food restaurants and none compare. It has actually ruined me for other restaurants I always say«this isn’t as good as sa tang». My girlfriend and I go several times a month and I’ll eat my food and finish hers. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.

First time here and I highly recommend it. It’s beautiful inside, courteous wait staff, delicious flavors. I posted a few pics. Also, it is NOT a BYOB(any more). Someone posted 2 years ago that it was. Don’t let that stop you from eating here bc you won’t be disappointed. We will be back!

We picked my sister up from URI and drove around to find something to eat. We saw Sa-Tang and decided to stop there. We ordered thai basil rice, red curry with chicken and pad see-ew. Everything was delicious. I only wish that the rice was a little spicier. Nine served us and she was really friendly. She did a great job and we’ll definitely stop by again when we’re in the area.

Had dinner here on a Saturday evening. The staff are very friendly and attentive(but not over the top) and I thought the food was very high calibre, with great presentation. They also have the nice ability to customize the level of hot & spicy you want, which I appreciated. I order the Salmon in Green and Dumplings as a starter. The food came out in a very reasonable time, and I thought both plates were delicious and very true to the food I’ve had during travels to Thailand. The price tag was also good value for the high qualify food. I’ll be back!

I love Satang because they are willing to cater the dishes to their customers. I am a vegan and they make me a pad thai without fish sauce & egg that is SO good.

This has quickly become one of my favorite places in RI! Friendly/prompt service and really fresh ingredients. Their menu choices are great, especially since I’m Gluten-free.

In a location surrounded by seafood places on the water, often with an hour plus wait, this is a good change of pace.

Really, really like this place. I can’t say I’m an expert in Thai cuisine(far from it) but I always enjoy everything I order here. Clean and fresh and good value for money!

The food is great. We had the Hot Basil w/seafood, Asparagus Ginger with seafood and Shumai. The seafood portion was good. The waitress was timely and polite(not to mention adorable). I highly recommend this place!

My husband and I spontaneously came through Wakefield on our way through Rhode Island, and we were starving by the time we got here. It was a Saturday around lunch time, and there were about 5 other parties at the restaurant. This was a great lunch spot. They had some lunch specials despite it being a weekend, which included a mini appetizer. Our dishes were tasty and had a good balance between protein and produce. Would be a great spot to meet a larger group. We were in and out in a jiffy. This spot really hit the spot!

One of the best Chicken Pad Tai’s around. I like the sweet and sour flavor, the soft, medium and crunchy textures and it’s filled with chicken and shrimp!

This has become my favorite restaurant in South Kingstown, because hands down, they make the best Duck in the state. So many Asian restaurants slather their Duck dishes in goopy, overly sweet sauce or batter it with something reminiscent of corn starch cement. I’ve had the Tamarind Duck and Duck with Asparagus and Ginger, and both are to die for. Tender slices of Duck breast which hasn’t been over cooked, and absolutely melts in your mouth. I’ve also tried a few of the noodle dishes and they were quite tasty. You get an ample portion with a good balance between meat and vegetables. If there’s one thing I could change about this restaurant, it would be this. When they first opened, they offered Jasmine tea using Jasmine Pearls, which is a premium offering. They’ve since switched to Jasmine tea bags and that’s not a premium substitute. Please, bring back the Pearls and charge accordingly. There are many people, like myself, who won’t mind the added cost. It makes the meal even more appealing and enjoyable.

Really great Thai restaurant right in downtown Wakefield. Good atmosphere and great service. The food was brought out right away and was piping hot! I had the crispy pad thai, which I really liked, but I didn’t realize that all the noodles were crispy. I think I’ll get the«regular» pad thai next time. Can’t wait to go back!

Having not been successful at sever RI restaurants we called and made reservations at Sa-Tangs. We were promptly seated and our servers were very pleasant. We ordered three appetizers which were hot, delicious and awesome. Each of us ordered a noodle dish. Again they were all very good and the ingredients were so fresh and tasty. The food was served piping hot too. With good food and a good memory I gave this restaurant 5-stars and they deserve it.

So good! We tried this one day because it’s right down the street from our new apartment, and I can’t say I wasn’t disappointed! I ordered the panang curry, and it was so delicious I actually wanted to lick the plate — of course I didn’t do such a thing, but the thought was there! My only issue I had with it, is that I only received 4 somewhat small pieces of beef in my curry. Thankfully the curry being fantastical by it’s lonesome saved me from being disappointed. The boyfriend ordered Spicy Basil fried rice, it was very flavorful but lacking that spicy zing it usually has. Sa-tang also has a gluten free menu! Which is quite nice for people who suffer from Gluten allergies. I’ll say it’s fairly affordable too depending on what you order. I certainly will be heading back to this little gem!

This rating would be 2.5 — 3 stars anywhere else, but given that there’s a decent Thai place in Wakefield Rhode Island, I’m willing to bump this up to a 3.5. Realize that in my relatively long and storied history there, this town has consistently asserted that Afghan Kabob is downright mysterious and that bland or sickeningly-sweet American-Cantonese food is what passes for local Asian flavor. Sa-Tang had a very passable Tom Kha soup with a pretty decent amount of Galangal Root and lemongrass balancing out the coconut milk and the light amount of chili oil. But really, as has been said in other reviews, they CAN do spicy if you ask. Everything on the menu tops out at a «2 chili» rating, but you can order at up to 4 chili rated food if you ask. I started out modestly with the Hot Basil, which I bumped up to 3 stars to test them out. While I didn’t leave crying, I felt a nice burn, and it didn’t mask that fresh basil flavor, or that of the onions, peppers, or other veggies. The beef was of at least reasonable quality in that I didn’t have to squish down any gristle. The service was a bit slow to start(taking care of take-out customers for about 15 mins after we sat down), but they improved over the course of service, and did bring me one free refill on my well-balanced Thai iced tea. If I still lived in Wakefield, I’d be a semi-regular customer(although probably for take-out), but compared to my experiences in major cities and even relatively minor ones like Portland, Sa-Tang is perfectly situated: out in the boondocks where people won’t care as much about the little things. It gets the job done — South County Rhode Islanders, prepare to have your palettes challenged.

I was very excited to see a new Thai place open in South County — the current crop range from lackluster to terrible, and I really like Thai… I thought I might be in luck when I spied the enormous basil plant outside the front door. Grows their own herbs AND needs that much basil, excellent sign. The noodles I got(pad kee mou) quite lived up to the advertising. Nicely spicy, full of vegetables, and a large portion for little money. I’ll be back.

Good new Asian place in downtown Wakefield. Some very tasty Thai dishes that are good sized portions at reasonable prices. They did a nice job re-doing the interior, with a clean look and courteous waitresses. Some of the entrees that we tried were ok, not great, but overall it’s pretty good. BYOB is nice and they don’t charge a corkage fee which is cool.
