Food was still ok, but they have almost double their prices… seafood platter that’s was nice for a couple to split at $ 29. has jump up to $ 41, !!! No sections for seniors either… Too bad

Mixed results. The fried clams were excellent but the appetizer of cajun egg rolls were still frozen in the middle. Since I had eaten more than half I was required to pay for them. The service was below average and the prices very high. I doubt that I will go back. There are better options for clams in the area

Stopped in for breakfast. The corned beef hash is amazing! The cook is great everything we ordered was very good. The wait staff was also very good to us. For a small place in the middle of nowhere I’m impressed. Will definitely be coming back!!!

Best corned beef hash ever. So fresh and homemade. It had big chunks of corned beef and potatoes cooked perfectly. Could not eat all of it. Thanks for a great birthday breakfast!

Food is good. Fish is very good. This restaurant suffers with poor management of staff at times. My friends ate here over the weekend and we were here for over 2 hours. We waited over a half an hour just for drinks. Jim is the owner and it is my hope he’s in a learning curve. Great guy, good luck Jim

Tied for fourth with Newick’s for the best fried seafood in the state, thought we should give it a try. Haddock sandwich was very good, clam strip dinner good, but no comparison to Petey’s. Lobster roll was fantastic for $ 14! Prices were reasonable, Cassie our server was awesome. Got the brownie sundae for dessert, it came out in a huge bowl and stood quite high, $ 5 for all desserts? What a steal! Kinda strange going way out in the woods for seafood but if your in the area bypass Poor People’s Pub and give these guys a try!

Very pleased with our dinning experience. We had fried haddock and NY sirloin. The haddock fried perfect and covered a mound of onion rings. The steak was over an inch thick cooked perfect med rare. The dinning room was clean. Service was friendly an efficient.

Horrible food experience. Fried food was obviously done in old oil. Baked«stuffed» haddock was tasteless and the stuffing consisted of dried bread crumbs on top. Steak tips were tender but the«fresh» vegetables that came with it were fresh out of a frozen food bag. The waitress was pleasant but distracted and forgetful. And sadly the chocolate cake was stale. :(

Bullet point review: –Replaced Shenanigans, a bad restaurant and my first review on Unilocal! –Very nice presentation, everything looks clean and tidy –Garden salad was one of the best I’ve ever had: fresh vegetables makes a big difference –Onions were very greasy, but delicious: a little stringy but thick enough so they don’t feel cheap, homemade –Slight oversight by the waitress not providing plates for onion rings –Rolls were good, but not the highlight –Main meal of clam strips good; the crispy, homemade fries really stood out how much better they were compared to fast food or frozen –Staff was nice and my dining companion even complemented the chef –Price was cheaper than she expected; seemed very fair for the quantity we got along with the quality –Best place I’ve eaten in Wakefield and I’ve lived here most of the time since ’93

We were vacationing in the area, and stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. The food and service were both phenomenal. The waitress who served us was friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely some of the best I’ve ever had. I got the prime rib(only available Friday and Saturday), which was perfectly seasoned, moist, and tender. Every bite felt like a pleasant surprise, and the entire experience was excellent. My father had the scallops and crab cakes. The scallops were merely good, but the crab cakes were delicious — some of the best he’d ever had. The entire meal, with four adult entrees, two kids’ meals, and an appetizer of onion rings, came to less than $ 100 before tip. We will definitely be returning before we head home.
