Sonic Drive In

Horrible service. Employee had a bad attitude, there was only one other person there and it took 15 minutes to make a shake, and they got our order wrong when my husband spoke clearly, and they said the order back correctly. Of course when they forgot the second shake, it took them less than 5 minutes to make it and fix their screw up. I usually don’t get this irritated from poor service, but this definitely hit a button.

Three is a stretch Burger King quality if you get a good BK Taters were bla not much going for them

Ok, Sonic is hit and miss enough as it is (and I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed a chain restaurant before) but this one was particularly bad. We ordered 2 things, a cheese and bacon pretzel dog and fries. After waiting in the drive thru for 10 minutes JUST TO ORDER, we pull forward and sat for another 10 minutes. Two of the 3 cars in front of us pulled out of line and drove off. Finally, one of the employees came out a side door and brought us our order. We get back to our hotel and my son ate exactly ½ of the hot dog, throwing the rest away. Frankly, I was surprised he got through that much of it. The «pretzel» bun, stale, didn’t look or taste ANYTHING like any pretzel I’ve ever had, it was like their regular hot dog bug and the pretzel bun got busy in the storage room and had a weird hybrid baby. The hot dog itself was the worse excuse for a hot dog ever, and I’ve had a hot dog at South of the Border (seriously, if you’ve ever been there, you know what I mean). Fries, well, they were fries. Seriously, this was a messed-​up Sonic.

This SONIC is AmaZing!!! The one in Rolesville is BAD!!! No Sonic can top this one!!!

The food was good but I think they use old milk or powdered milk to make their milkshakes. It upset my stomach so bad the next day. I don’t think I will return to this location. Also there needs to be improvement on the food, I ordered a pretzel hot dog it came with cheese, bacon and onions. There was hardly any cheese to many onions and not enough bacon. I didn’t check my food till I got home it was disappointing.

OK so my wife asked me if I wanted to go to Sonic the other day. Of course I immediately jumped on the opportunity. See I love this place but she enjoys other fast food joints more so I usually only go here when she is out of town. We went for the happy hour where drinks are much cheaper (did you know that if you drank a different combination of drink every day of your life you still wouldn’t get through all of the combinations that Sonic offers?). She got the cherry lime aid and I got the root beer float and a large tater tots (my wife also ordered a large tot after she heard me add one in). I am almost embarrassed to admit that this staple of the elementary school cafeteria is one of my favorites but I LOVE TATER TOTS (although I think of Napoleon Dynamite every time I order them)! And these are cooked perfectly with a moist center but nice crunch on the outside. The root beer float was just okay. Not bad but not great and to be honest not as good as I had hoped it would be. I will most likely stick with my grape and sprite drink in the future. The burgers are also good and saw a sign driving by the other day that on Tuesdays now you can get 5 burgers for $ 5.55. Tempting but even I don’t think I could put that many down.
