Upping to 4 stars Staff is great and helpful. All around pleasant and good attitude. Always a smile now with Every one of them. I deducted 1 star due to the rule that I can’t bring in my Coke Zero from the store next door. I don’t drink coffee and don’t like Diet Coke so I figured I spend about 45 bucks each time I go so I should be able to bring my drink. We will see if it sticks. Going to sneak in Coke Zero like at the movies and see if I get kicked out

I love this place, whenever I’m in Raleigh I try to go. Such good breakfast and such good donuts, the buttermilk glazed donuts are my absolute favorite. They are like cake donuts and old fashion style– must try!

Came for brunch and the food was good, classic American breakfast. The bakery selections and donuts are what makes this the best brunch place! Must try the apple spice and buttermilk donuts!

Poor customer service! Visiting from out of town. Bought a donut the day before which was good so came back the morning we were leaving to get breakfast to go. Waited about 10 mins for the order to be done. Food is fresh so no big deal. Finally get the order and take the food to the car. Missing a sandwich. Go back in and ask about it and the person at the register just says, I don’t think I rang that up. No sorry just forgot and kept ringing up other customers. So I walk out to get the receipt and come back in because I see an additional item had been rung up. I go back in, wait again while she rings up another customer and show her the receipt. She says she didn’t ring it up and that the additional misc breakfast charge was for the 3 sandwiches I did order being on an English muffin. Then she says sorry. They appear to stay very busy and the donut I had yesterday was good, but the customer service I received after the employee admittedly forgot(I know I asked for the Taylor ham because she went in the back to make sure they still had some) to ring up a order I waited 10 minutes for was very poor. Won’t patronize them again and will tell my friends who live here to beware.

I ordered an apple pie for my Christmas dessert table. It was just out of the oven and looked good with the crumb topping. When my daughter cut the first slice, I knew something was very wrong. It shrunk, the tiny layers of apple didn’t taste like apples at all, the filling was an apricot color, and it tasted like pure sugar! Good thing it was my daughter. Had to remove it! For the price they charged and the big show they put on when I entered the place, I can only say buyer beware! The Sysco truck is in the rear and that’s what you’ll get here. Never again! I may be returning this pie tomorrow to let them know how upset I am.

Friday and Saturday Prime Rib special is a good deal. I eat here a few times a month because I live nearby and the food is usually good. Also a good place to pick up a few pastries to go.

My husband actually recommended this place to me for lunch. He always orders the club sandwich, which he loves because they pile the meats on the sandwich sky high! The few times I have been I either order a salad or sandwich. I love their pickles and pastries! I can say that one time I went there was a fly inside the pastry section, which convinced me to not order any sweets that day(my waistline thanked me!) But overall the food is always fresh and good! They have 2 locations, which both are located in Wake Forest.

My buddy and I stopped in to grab a quick bite. We were looking for an actual«breakfast» place and believe me we were not disappointed! My buddy ordered the French toast and he was given two generous helpings of sweet delicious bread. I myself ordered pancakes and had 3 good flapjacks. We both ordered over easy eggs and their consistency was just divine. We obviously had to finish our meal with some fresh baked donuts and our taste buds thanked us for that decision. He went with the Boston crème and could not stop talking about its perfection. I had the NY cheesecake donut and was pleasantly surprised. Though not tasting like cheesecake, the sweet cream was a tantalizing treat. Along with the attentive service and friendly atmosphere, this is one breakfast place I will come to again!

The owner Chef I was told was from NY so goes the food there. They have pastries and bread for sale. It’s pretty much self service. You pay and order upfront and they have a sitting area on the left side. They deliver the order once ready by shouting out your name. They have turn overs, scones, muffins, brownies and lemon bread. I ordered Pot Pie which was pretty good having the pastry on the soup. I’ve seen people eat salads, wraps and sandwiches. Still need to go back and taste other food available. They have to work on the cuing when there’s a line it kinda really slows down. The cashier also gets the food though an extra hand came to help me fill my box. I felt sorry for the couple after me. All in all it’s worth to try out.

I’ve visited the Main Street Grille several times. For a quick breakfast sandwich-to-go, for brunch with family, for lunch with friends, and for business meetings. Every time, our food and service has been top-notch. The food is made fresh, the servings are plentiful, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Note: sometimes the place is so busy, the line to order wraps around the store and into the adjoining gas station – patience is a virtue and the wait is well worth it!

Food is consistently very good, service is great, employees are friendly, menu choices are vast! Prices are good, too. Their club san is awesome and big enough for 2 people. The Fri & Sat prime rib dinner is quite good and such a reasonable price — quite a pleasant discovery considering this place is known for breakfast, sandwiches and pastries galore!

The line was just getting started and it might be best for you to figure out what you want before getting to the register.(As you order and pay for your food and then go and find a seat) Haven’t confirmed any of this, but I think the chef from Paris, who has worked as a chef at the embassy in Iceland, received accolades from around the world(incl Dr of Hospitatlity??). Bottom line. You’d be an idiot to eat anywhere else in Wake Forest. We also asked the cashier to put together an assortment of their finest and most popular items and box them up. After eating out food, she came over with a ginormous box of goodies, pastries and donuts. We are headed to a family dinner and we are responsible for bringing the dessert. Oh yeah. Get ready to have your mind blown.(And for a pastry sugar rush of monumental proportions) Ps. The biscuit my wife barely shared and French toast my son… Both were perfect!

About the quality of school cafeteria food. Had the meatloaf which was tasteless, mashed potatoes out of box, gravy from a mix and mixed vegetables that were totally overcooked. The only thing that wasn’t lousy was the ice water. The bill was low but the meal was worth even less.
