Dollar General

I will be the first to say that I love a good deal, but this Dollar General always looks as if they are restocking the whole store. It is so cramped in there I can only stand to be in there no more than 3 minutes. Basically get whatever items I need and leave. No time to search the clearance shelf, look for extra items or just browse… just go straight to the needed items and leave! I’ve only been to this location three times and each time the cashiers act as if they could really be elsewhere. No smiles, greetings, or nothing. It’s not the best store but it will suffice for the quick items I need.

Ok, so Dollar General is not my cup of tea but I do rely on this place quite a bit for little items since it walking distance to my house. It can be quite a sketchy place at times and you have to check the dates on items such as food or beverages because often times, the items are expired. Is this legal?
The staff are usually pretty nice. You can run into the random staff member who will tell you about how much they hate their job but I can handle that on occasion. I will say that for certain items, Dollar General is almost always a better deal than the regular grocery stores or pharmacy. This location is always the one store open when we have a snow storm (which is rare) but it is nice that we can count on it when no one else is open.
