I love this place! Staff is great! I feel Like I’m eating at my family’s house! Great prices! Specials are a great deal! It’s a hole in the wall but the food is comfort food! Love it here!

Food was ok, but its worth the experience. I love the at home feel. If your from the area you will more than likely see someone you know. My husband goes here right often but this was my 1st time in the six years of living here in its back yard. Ok now, as far as food, all I can speak for is the lunch. My husband assured me that the breakfast is worth coming back for and giving it a try. So that being said here we go. The fresh French Fries are worth getting! I loved them! My sweet tea was great also! The hamburger and gravy was just ok. The Red potatoes was not good to me and the butter beans where way too salty to me.(Which I traded my butter beans in for French Fries) Maybe it’s just me but the food was ok. But I’m willing to give it another try. The service was great and the waitress was supper sweet! Because of that I’m willing to give it another try. And because of my love for«hole in the wall» restaurants.

A classic Southern meat and sides restaurant. Don’t get confused, The Border is not a Tex-Mex place, it is on the border of Wake Forest, NC and also Wake County. A family friendly restaurant that serves truly home style food for a great(almost unbelievable) price. Every day there is a special, with one of my favorites being chicken and dumplins, made with actual pasta/noodle dumplins(or ‘slicks” as they are called locally). And unlike anywhere else that I know of, if you’re still hungry once you have finished the special, they will bring you another small portion, no extra charge. You also will have to take some time deciding what side to have, as typically the menu board lists at least 9 – 10 choices. The Border is a great little place with great food and friendly people where you can get great food for a great price.

«SOS» if you can’t say it, you can’t…wait I did eat a few bites and I can’t say it so my Bride Ordered it, for Her and I did take more than a couple small bites, it was Good! Silver Dollar Pancakes! I might could have fallen in Love with these if they would have been Hot and they had more Butter! Each Table is stocked with a bowl FULL of so-called butter flavored Soy Oil! I asked for Real Butter and our Server brought a «slice»(about one teaspoon) I could have asked for more, Though I had an Order of Pancakes AND a Big Biscuit, it took a while to get that small slice it seemed like a Very Unusual request(Real Butter)! The Biscuit was good and spelled Biskit! Would have been better Hot! I did NOT ask if they believed in Time Zones or Man on the Moon Potatoes shaved and Grilled Onions were pretty good «Big» «Link» Sausages that made me laugh so hard the Waitress was concerned that something was unexpected… The Links were Cut in half down the middle and Flatened to look more like a Patty, even though I ordered«Links»! They tasted like Neeses! This place is POPULAR, Established and has a certain Charm, the food was all Good, NOT Very Good, just Good, though they should NOT change a thing for me because I’ll probably not come back, unless a Guyfriend chooses it and i will NOT complain. Coffee tasted more like: Sugar-Milk-Water than Coffee What Part of the Country are you from? This place is on the edge of(the other one) Youngsville and Wake Forest, on the Edge of Cool(when Country was NOT)!

Not a fancy restaurant, but the staff couldn’t be nicer, and I haven’t had a home cooked country breakfast like that since I was a kid! My kids loved the trains in the front windows, and our server Robin was so nice and attentive! This restaurant has a real family feel to it. We’ll definitely be back!

I didn’t know what to expect when the reviews said things like simple, cheap, good enough. It was wonderful! The chicken salad is quality white meat. The hot dog was all beef. The pineapple upside pie was unique and delicious. The menu had a wide variety of options to suit everyone. For 4 plates, 2 teas, and a dessert, we only paid $ 16. My 3 year old daughter loved the train in the dining room. The servers were super friendly.

The food is cheap and good enough. Unique items on the menu. The trains are awesome for the kids. Parking is limited, so sometimes you have to park across the street, but it’s worth it. Also note you have to pay at the register.

Now this is a classic place to get a good breakfast of eggs, pancakes, and such. The prices are great the staff is friendly. The décor is(I mean this is the best way) classic wall clutter. You can spend hours reading the signs. I have never had a bad breakfast. Only wish they were open Sunday.

the border is a staple for a broke student living in Wake Forest. its simple diner food, nothing too fancy, but their specials are amazing. not because its the best food ive ever had, but because you can get an entrée(WITH A SECONDHELPING!!!) and two sides and get out of there for FIVEAMERICANDOLLARS(including tax, but not tip). they got a little bit of everything, and the staff is super nice. give it a whirl for lunch or breakfast(they close at 2)
