Line always moves fast! Customer service is also excellent as I always get greeted. A lot of room to sit down and eat, and of course if there is no room just eat in the park where there are plenty grassy areas to make picnic or use the park benches and table! :) I’ve been going around 10am-11am. Food is ALWAYS delicious just like the main location. Will definitely be coming here for lunch everytime i take my son to the park to play.

Set up of this takeout or express is a little odd. We were next door at the tennis courts so this location is super convenient! It was a little disorganized with two windows. The lines were not very obvious because people waiting for payment and their food were hanging out by the windows in order to hear their names called out. Perhaps numbers would work better and payment should be taken right after you order. They had two workers in plain clothes walking up to people asking if they had ordered and then passing the papers to the cashier who taped the orders to the window in front of them. We figured it out but had to check back a few times to make sure they hadn’t called our name while we were at our table. The stars here are mainly for the convenience, price and food. I liked the $ 6smth spicy poke over rice. So so good. They did give a lot of rice but it was sushi rice. Oh, a few folks got the poke over salad greens-this comes cubed and looked really great. Next time this’ll be my order. :) –happy customer, but please think about streamlining the ordering/payment part

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to the original Tanioka’s in Waipahu. Sadly, since all the rail construction going on in Waipahu I don’t even attempt to go to that area. When I heard that Tanioka’s was opening a place in Waipio Gentry area I knew I wanted to go and eat there. We arrived close to closing time, several of the specials and regular items were sold out. Yet, we got their yummy salmon patties, fried chicken, mochiko chicken musubi and cone sushi. Their salmon patties and cone sushi is very good! I liked their fried chicken which was not dry and it had a nice crispy skin. I definitely want to return here again and try their bentos and poke bowls.

Tanioka’s is now within reach! No more backtracking or U turns and construction traffic going through Waipahu. Although technically Waipio is still considered Waipahu. The cone sushi is the juiciest fattest great tasting sushi that I can eat 3 by myself. Their Deluxe Bento is a must try. Includes cone sushi, fried noodles, musubi, garlic chicken, fish patty and teriyaki beef and it’s only $ 8.50. They also have poke bowls, hamburgers steak, pork chops and daily specials. I just wish they would open earlier so I could pick up lunch on the way to work! Oh well, there’s always the weekends!

Tanioka’s Express hasn’t even been open a month yet and this location seems to be a success already. I’ve been visiting the Waipahu location for quite a while now and the food here is consistent with the Tanioka«brand.» What a perfect location for this business! Smack inside the Veteran’s Memorial Aquatic Center in the Patsy Mink Central Oahu Regional Park. At first I truly thought google was leading me on a wild goose chase to Tanioka’s since I found myself turning into a park. I had no choice but to keep following the prompts since there was a car tailing me so closely that he probably could see the mileage on my odometer. Long story short — I found it! Oddly located inside the Veteran’s Memorial Aquatic Center but not really considering the convenience of having«good» local food available in this vast park. It was close to closing 1pm and I was afraid they were going to close the shop before I even got to the counter. But then that would have meant refusing to serve the long line of people already formed behind me. They didn’t close shop and served everyone in line until it was obvious no one else was there for food. They even expedited service by having someone take orders in line as opposed to waiting until you got to the counter to place your order. What to order? Well… all the Tanioka top sellers of course: poke bowls(dollar extra for sushi rice with your choice of drizzle of masago mayo or oyster sauce), salmon patties(already sold out when I got there), fish patties, fried chicken — garlic and mochiko, bentos and musubis. Again, not a super large selection of pokes but I guarantee you will find something that will squash the hunger or munchies. This location sure beats having to battle the traffic and rail construction in Waipahu and only minutes away from Waikele and Mililani. Not your typical location for a restaurant(it’s more like a food counter) with several tables and chairs to dine in but it sure does work. This goes to prove, «if you build it… they will come!» Solid and consistent Tanioka brand with excellent customer service.

Great place for residents in the Wahiawa, Waikele, Mililani, Waipio Gentry area. conveniently located in the acquatic pavillion next to the tennis courts. Parking is ample depending on park usage and the day. Servers all the popular Tanioka’s foods including chicken(Garlic, Fried, and Mochiko). Also sold are their popular bentos as well as plate lunches. I’m glad they openend up a location there and will be frequenting this location often because of the conveninece and the delicious food. The staff there are also very friendly.

Great spot to come for poke, bentos, plate lunches, andagi and even local kine snacks! There’s lots of parking too right out in front. It is located in Patsy Mink park in Waipio in the same building where there’s the swimming pool. Great place to come and grab lunch to go! Sometimes there could be a long line but it goes rather smoothly and quickly.

Finally! Another location for Tanioka’s! And what better place to be than at a park with tons of kids and parents. They have all their top items here… poke bowls, fish patties, select musubi and of course their friend chicken. They have tables you can sit at and the parking situation here is a lot easier than the original location. They are located in the aquatic center and I’m sure once the secret is out, they will be busy just like their other location! So excited, now I can get my fish patty musubi and fried chicken fix even more often!

I’ve been going to the original Tanioka’s location for about 20 years. But when I’m craving a fish patty musubi, spicy ahi on sushi rice, or their high quality poke, and the line is out the door or there isn’t parking, we end up just passing by. But now they just opened up this new location, it’s so much easier to get your Tanioka’s cravings fulfilled. They have most of the menu items from the original location like your poke bowls, all the musubis and bentos. And for plate lunches they have daily specials. What makes this place especially convenient is that there is lots of parking, there are bathrooms, and there is a place to sit and enjoy your meal. First you make your order, then you can sit and relax, then someone will call your name to let you know your order is ready. You go back up to the counter and pay for your food. So much easier than waiting in a long line the whole time for the food. The only time you might have to wait in line is when you first place your order. We came around 10:40 so there wasn’t a long line yet, but after that more people came. So we will be visiting this spot often for lunch when I’m in Waipahu.
