The convenience is what really makes this place awesome. Plenty of parking… fast in and out The people who work here are really cool and nice. They also have air, water, and vaccuum. I vacuum my car a lot here. I think it’s like a dollar or something like that but you need quarters. The shop has a lot of good snacks that I eat. At the counter sometimes that have like brownies or homemade stuff and they’re always good! They also have ice and the usual stuff. The problem I have is the gas pump takes FOREVER and I mean a loooooong time. Maybe I’ve just had bad luck or something but I’ve noticed it several times.

Super convenient, considering I live a few blocks away, and that I drive past it several times daily. It’s a great place to get gas, air and water for the car, and snacks, drinks and ice for yourself. I shop there frequently, usually on my way to Saturday soccer matches. It seems most of the customer service folks behind the counter have been there for a long time, and I regularly see them holding conversations with customers. Service is friendly, and usually pretty quick in-and-out. I’ve had issues with the gas pump in the past, but over the last year, no problems at all. There’s plently of parking on both sides of the business, and it shares a parking lot with the neighboring Waipio businesses, like Foodland, Big City Diner and Outback Steakhouse. Jack-in-the-box sits right across the street. All-in-all, you can’t ask for much more in terms of product and convenience than Aloha Island Mart in Waipio Gentry!

I stopped here on the way to work– Small but had what I needed. I stopped in to get coffee and change for the bus. It was a quick visit, a run to the ATM and around the store… and I ended up just getting a quick coffee. So yes, convenient, friendly, quick service. All that you would want in a gas station store! #Yelp 365 Challenge– 084⁄365

This is my go-to gas station. Located roughly 1000 feet from my house, the gas is fairly cheap and the lines move quick. This little gem is located in Waipio across the street from L&L and near Outback. They take the Maka’i card 5 cent off discount if you pay with cash too. This oddly well-lit gas station doesn’t feel like a dingy primary crime scene you see in CSI or horror movies. Its a beacon of light in the early morning hours when people are just getting up for work and I am going to bed. Although you have the necessities like gas, chicken musubis, beer, ice, and a Bank of Hawaii ATM, the real gem here is a worker named Sparkles. With a name like Sparkles, you can do no wrong. Think of Sparkles as a modern day Lewis Black of sorts, witty, sharp, sometimes over the top. But that’s why we love her. Stay just the way you are, Sparkles, you put the Sparkle in my day.

Ahh. Ye old island mini mart. I’ve lived in the area for 21 years and I can’t tell you what I haven’t had to come here for. It’s located in the Waipio shopping area where foodland and outback steakhouse is on this evil hill that is the enemy of all dropped vehicles and standard cars. Seriously, when it’s busy, try waiting for an open pump on that hill when the parking stalls are full up! Lol The establishment itself is small. They wouldn’t really need cameras cuz the employees can see everything from where they stand behind the register. So for a small gas station, it’s not hard to keep things neat. It’s never trashed and their snacks and candies are always in stock. They have a decent assortment of drinks considering how small it is. The employees to me are a 50 – 50 when it comes to service. Theres the ones that are«pay your sh*t and go» who wont care to give you a second look and there’s the super cool aunties that are just a blast to start conversation with. But it’s a gas station, not a club so you cant expect much. Try their coffee! Great for early morning start or cold night when you just wanna chill and are too lazy to drive 2 minutes to the next starbucks. :)
