Elle’s Corner Café is the best comfort food next to a home cooked meal. I was surprised on the portion because it was PERFECT. Deep fried banana bread, YUMMY! Will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

Ate here for the first time today and I didn’t care for it and probably won’t be coming back. I had the adobo omelet and its probably the worst I’ve ever had. The rice was soggy and the vinegar taste too strong, and I like vinegary food. The eggs were way over cooked and too brown and dry. My son had the guava chicken and I didn’t care for that either. The kim chee they serve on the side was borderline gross. Worst kim chee I’ve ever had. Bottom line, I wouldn’t recommend it. Waipahu Café up the road is way better.

Ramen burger… Good. Spam misubi made to order… Delicious. Guava Chicken with Fried Rice… Juicy! We stumbled on this place after visiting an awesome Ekahi urgent care right across the street. The ramen burger was pretty good considering I’ve never had one before. It’s basically a cheeseburger with fried ramen noodles for buns. Maybe if it had a spicy mayo sauce on it similar to spicy tuna, it would have been better. I’m going to try to come back to this place again and try their fried banana bread and ice cream for dessert.

I come here to check out a different selection every visit. So far, my personal favorite is the hamburger steal lunch plate. I also recommend the Korean chicken lunch plate. This is my first ever review about a place. It’s not a bad place to eat at, if your in the area, stop by Elle’s corner. The food is always delicious!

4.5 stars! Ramen Burger — I’ve only tried three different ramen burgers in my life but I must say that this one was the BEST! The patty was flavorful, there was a fried egg, the ramen was cooked perfectly and there was a sauce to tie it all together. Sweet Longanisa Fried Rice — I mean where else can you find this dish? I freaking LOVE sweet longanisa. It’s my absolute favorite sausage in the world! The fried rice was good but I thought it would’ve been 10x better with an egg on top! Maybe ask for an over easy egg on top… Yep, that’s what I’m gonna do next time I order it. The fried rice itself had the crumbled sausage, rice and onions/green onions so it was definitely missing something. Lechon Kewali Fried Rice — My hubby ordered this. Think chopped up Lechon Kewali over rice. I like that they offer this dish but it wasn’t anything extraordinary. Deep fried Banana Bread — Ho-Lee-Macaroni-Batman!!! Do NOT pass up on this! In fact, you might just wanna start with dessert so you can eat it fresh out of the fryer while it’s still crispy and hot! It came with a vanilla/caramelish dipping sauce and it was worth a blood sugar spike for any diabetic! The banana bread inside was just meh but when you fry that shit up in some awesome batter and add some powder sugar on it and dip it into the sauce, it turns meh into Mehhhhkkkk me stop eating this please!!! I think it comes ala mode too… Just when you thought it could it get any better!

Else’s Corner Café is a new kid on the 94-Block bringing some yummy food to the table. If you don’t keep your eyes open you might miss it but for those of you who may not know, Elle’s is in the spot where the old Shiro’s in Waipahu used to be. I will say that I am a creature of habit, so I usually get the Pork Cutlet or Korean Chicken… both are always tasty! Once you’ve had your meal, whether it is a plate lunch or breakfast(since it is served all day), YOUMUST indulge by capping it off with the Fried Banana Bread & add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which is of great value given the price. Give Elle’s a try, you never know what daily special they may have when you go :)

Ordered the $ 4 bacon egg breakfast sandwich and was just mediocre. Expected a nice family owned restaurant but the service was just ok. Probably known for other items on the menu. The woman taking orders at the counter gave me a bad taste in my mouth. And there was some passed out person on one of her tables. Not sure I will come back.

Everything was great, and reasonably priced, anything on the menu can be made into a combo plate. One of the best hamburger steaks I’ve had in a while. Banana bread was a little oily, but delicious all the same

Ok tried the messed up fried rice. A variety of meats that were left overs(not old).so a different combo of 4 meats blended with the fried rice with one egg. really delicious !!!

This is my first review on Unilocal… and I have to say, this place was awesome! Food was delicious! My fiancé had the Adobo Omelette, first time we have had a fried rice omelette and it definitely did not disappoint. I had the Adobo pork Loco Moco, and it was also amazing. To top is all off they brought us out to separate homemade breakfast pastry’s for us to try, and they were incredible. The atmosphere here is awesome, it definitely has a local feel, and the staff was incredibly nice. Should definitely make the stop to come here. Thank you Elle’s Corner!

We were in Waipahu around lunchtime so we Unilocaled this place. Decided to try it since it had lots of stars. What a find! It’s a small place on Waipahu Depot Rd, about a block in from Kam Hwy. Across Kam highway is the Toyota and Chrysler car dealership if you’re looking for a landmark. We found parking on the street but then we realized we could’ve gone into the Waipahu Festival Marketplace parking lot which is in the back of the place. Oh well, next time! Anyway, they had lots of items on the menu but what caught my eye was the soft shell crab fried rice! Ordered that and the mini BBQ Guava Chicken plate. Came with scoop rice, greens, mac salad and 1 piece of chicken-only $ 6.50. share. Both were served on real plates and utensils! The fried rice had bits of soft shell crab in it-tasty. It was enough for me and hubby to share. The Guava chicken had a nice sweet glaze, not too salty. The other Unilocalers had wrote about the Cake Battered Banana Bread so we got an order of that too. It’s made to order. Boy oh boy! The banana bread was battered and deep fried and then sprinkled with powdered sugar. Dang, it was good. It’s not something you could eat often(unless you want to give some cardiologist business) but it sure can be addicting! There were other items we wanted to try but there were only 2 of us. Our plan is to come with more people so we can try the other dishes. The owner was very nice and friendly. Not a very big place but it’s very ambitious with the food. We are definitely coming Back! I did see it will be closed on Tues come June 1, so note that.

Wanted to try out my hubby’s cousins joint forever and it’s just down the road. Finally did and ordered something for breakfast: corn beef hash with fried rice which my son just loved and pork adobo loco moco, genius! We are definitely coming back to try out the rest of the menu. Please go check out Elle’s Café.

I had the longanisa fried rice here(vinegar version) — it was good and tasty but a little oily. Elle’s is on Waipahu Depot Road, I think in the old Shiro’s. It’s a little takeout window connected to a covered seating area(maybe 8 – 10 tables or so). I would come back here again for the friend rice or try other dishes. Parking on the street or I think they have a few stalls in the back.

In town for a week vacation and got off the freeway due to heavy traffic. We just wanted a quick breakfast and found this gem. Pork Adobe loco mock was really good. The fried banana bread with vanilla ice cream, had us wanting more. It also prompted the Unilocal review. Its not on the menu, so you have to ask.

My husband and I went there for lunch today. 1)We shared a ramen burger– yum! The noodle buns were sooo good-al dente noodles grilled to give crunchy crust when you bite in. Fried egg completed the burger. –5 stars all the way! 2)Pork adobo loco moco– yum! Huge portion. You got to go and try. –4.5 stars. I could have given 5 stars if it came with a side of kimchi. Kimchi! Yes! 3)Won ton saimin — lots of good broth but not enough noodles or other solid ingredients to fill up my husband’s hungry stomach. –3.5 stars The owners and staff are super friendly. We will be back to try other stuff.

After buying some vegetables & such from the nearby marketplace, my Mom & I decided to try Elle’s out. We got there around 1145am & by that time, they were out of the doughnut sandwiches that I really wanted to get my hands on & well… Eat. We ended up ordering fried noodles. The noodles were a tad under seasoned, oily, & for the price, I thought maybe we would get a little more. This was actually a recurring thought of mine with all the plates we bought(garlic shrimp & korean fried chicken). Maybe an additional one or two pieces of shrimp and chicken would have been perfect. I say this because the rice to meat ratio was off. I had 1 scoop(out of two) left & I usually polish off my whole plate(don’t judge!). Before I forget though, the taste of both the garlic shrimp & korean fried chicken was delish! I give Elle’s a 3.75-star review(just to clarify). Parking can get crazy, especially in the AM(everyday) cause that’s when the marketplace is poppin. Anyway, I will probably return to try something new(they have a wide selection to choose from) & since they’re new, I’m sure they will continue to work on establishing themselves as a great eatery in Waipahu(Oahu & statewide too).

Cheap eats and good! If your waiting for your car being serviced at Servco across the street, you should definitely check this place out. I ordered the pork adobo and the bugga was mean! I order and make my own pork adobo all the time but have never tasted adobo like this before. It’s like regular adobo but with brown gravy I think… I saw adobo locomoco on the menu and wasn’t too sure how that would be, so I just ordered the regular adobo plate. But now that I know, definitely trying it locomoco style next time. Friendly staff(owner/owners? Idk)! I had a sore stomach emergency if you know what I mean, and THANKGOD they let me use their restroom. I was doubtful they had one being such a small place, or even that they’d let even let me use it if they did.

Prices were not bad… one hamburger, two French Fries, fried banana bread and won ton mein only $ 20.33. I would go back again except ordering light salt with the French Fries, it was a little too much salt sprinkled for my taste. But overall, another good place to grab lunch when I don’t feel like cooking.

I brought my Mom, my sister and my very picky eating 2 year old to try this place. The pictures from the other Unilocalers sold me. We ordered the Longanisa Fried Rice, Breakfast Donut Sandwich, Cake Batter fried Banana Bread ala mode and the Adobo Loco Moco. The lady at the counter was so friendly, so helpful and she brought our food to us which was so kind because it’s a plate lunch place. Every bite from first to last was delicious and full of flavor. The donut breakfast sandwich was bomb, I do wish I could buy the donuts ala carte too, it was so crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. My son who like I said is a very picky eater was grinding on the fried rice, he couldn’t get enough. All in all we left really happy and content. Praying they continue to grow in their success and become a staple part of Waipahu like how Rockys is. Definitely coming back and already started spreading the word about this place.

This place is brand new, and conveniently on the corner of Farrington hwy and waipahu depot street. It’s a quick order, grab and go, or sit down and enjoy kind of place. Right away you can see the prices are more than reasonable and there are authentic options on the menu. For brunch this morning I ordered the doughnut breakfast sandwich! Two home made doughnuts, cut ham, and an over medium egg makes this one of the most delicious breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had!!! My friends ordered the garlic fried rice, and the spicy chicken wings. The portions were great! Lots of rice and eight large chicken wings. Both had great flavor! The chicken wings weren’t very spicy though, like a mild buffalo. I can’t wait to come back and try more things on the menu!
