ugghhhh, tonight we ordered our regular and ordered 4 other things that we wanted to try out. Our regular order is the fat noodle chow fun and honey walnut shrimp. The other 4 things we ordered was the cheeseburger with fries, bulgogi burger, onion rings, mochi malasada… Cheeseburger with fries: filled with soggy romaine lettuce and alot of it. Fries were almost inedible because it was soggy soaked in oil or was it fried oil??? Bulgogi burger: I think it was watered down teriyaki beef just slapped between burger buns and slice tomato and a full slice of onion. The bread was soaked in this juice. Onion ring: it’s on the lighter side of onion rings. its not that heavy batter. Mochiko malasada: I was hoping this would be real nice but Instead they were all burnt and the mochi was chewy for days. I’m so sad

My first time. The restaurant looks outdated but the food totally made me forget about that thought because it was super delicious, everyone had a good time eating since its family-style portions and we had good service. Besides our waitress, there was a guy walking around checking if everything was okay, etc. I can’t wait to go back. Food ordered: Honey Walnut Shrimp(THEBEST I’VEEVERHAD — I was blown away) Beef Broccoli Rice

For a quick getaway, we spent the weekend on Maui. I was not in charge of finding the«good eats» because I was told that it would be handled. If only I trusted my gut feeling and took charge of the list of places to eat on Maui. We were informed that Tiffany’s had a Honey Walnut Shrimp that was to die for. I’m not usually a fan of honey walnut shrimp but after a temper tantrum(from a 25 year old male mind you ^_^) we found ourselves in the car, making our way to Tiffany’s. Unfortunately the kitchen was already closed(great… temper tantrum #2 brewing) so to make things better, I agreed to come back the next night. Next night: Yay! We made it a point to arrive after the dinner rush. so about 8pm… After spending the day eating sub-par food(from now on, I’m in charge of finding the good eats) I was praying that I’ll be able to have some delicious bar steak. After looking through the menu, I decided to get the tofu salad, bar steak and their honey walnut shrimp of course. The portions were perfect for two people. The tofu salad was huge with nice big chunks of tofu — unlike other places where you’ll get a few cubes. Bar steak — served with onions and it was delicious. Honey walnut shrimp — it was very tasty. The shrimp were not«opae» size at all, which is hard to find in some restaurants without having to pay an arm and a leg. Price — about $ 12+ depending. Service was great, servers didn’t hover but were always within sight if we ever needed anything. I’ll definitely put this on my go to list the next time I’m on Maui.

I was excited to come try this place I walked in and the place was warm. Ordered their bimbimbap and the presentation was good but you can count the meat they put in. My crew also ordered margaritas but it was horrible. We hardly tasted the tequila because its mostly waterdown. If you want to have a buzz night, you might wanna try a different place.

The last hurrah on my recent Maui trip was that of getting lunch before the big game(Hawaii vs Maryland — Men’s Basketball: NCAA tournament 2nd round) that day, Sunday, March 20, 2016. Flight didn’t leave till 4:45pm anyways, so it was bittersweet to hang out and inevitably watch UH lose to Maryland. My Unilocal elite friend suggested that this place had served Mochi inside fried malasada balls. I was intrigued. At least that’s how the story goes. Never got breakfast, as I had leftovers from Ono Gelato, so I had that instead while chillaxing on a Sunday morning, knowing that I had already had run a marathon the day before. It just feels pretty good to know that and don’t have to the next day. Believe me, I’ve done the back to back days before — on da mainland. Not anymore, unless I want to. With that said, we ended up hitting Tiffany’s Bar and grill to order take out. We arrived here around 12:15pm and thankful that there was parking. They have a small parking lot, so best bet is to get here as soon as you can. It’s like a small and(a little) seedy local restaurant with a bar. I would like to say that they are a hole in the wall, but thanks to Unilocal, they’re open to tourists and locals alike. That’s always a good thing in the 21st century and beyond. Tiffany’s Bar and Grill is located at 1424 Lower Main Street here in Wailuku on the island of Maui. Certainly off the beaten path in the residential areas of Wailuku, mixed with light industrial to seal the deal. The ambiance was adequately lighted, although dimmer than is usually acceptable for a regular restaurant. Yep, seedy dive bar + restaurant which serves local comfort food that often aims to please. I’m sure that I would have had fun here, especially with the booze department, but I was here to order take out and that was pretty much it. They accept credit cards, so that’s always a good thing. Scrambling for cash and an ATM ain’t cool either. The prices here are rather pricey, but then again, the meal I had gotten was kind of in the price range of L&L Drive Inn, right around $ 10 a plate. Not that it’s deemed overpriced or not, but first time to try this place, and I’ll give them a little benefit of a doubt. It ended up just fine. For me, I ended up getting the fish Jun plate with all white rice. This stems from my childhood when I did this and it just stuck. Somehow mixing the Mac salad and rice in a plate lunch was something horrid and I just didn’t want any part of that. I also ordered a side order of French fries, just because I was craving something salty and a butt load of French fries seemed to do the trick! So, the total came out to be around $ 12 or so, with tax. My Unilocal elite friend and I left with our food and ended up watching the basketball game. I opted to gnaw on the French fries first before enriching myself with the fish jun. The French fries came with 2 distinct dipping sauces, one was ketchup based and the other was a tangy mustard. I believe my favorite was the rangy mustard, which I think was mixed with some mayonnaise. Whatever combo it really was, it was deliciousness wrapped on a cozy Sunday on Maui. The fish jun was delicious and well remembered from the days when I used to go to Yummy’s Korean barbecue here on Oahu. Since I just got take out here and the visit to Tiffany’s bad and grill only lasted about 15 minutes, at least the service was good and pleasant. That’s always a good thing anywhere you go. For many people, visiting the bar and just chilling out here is a must for happy hour. I’d recommend coming here just to check things out. You might be in for a pleasant shock. I know I was. This place is A-okay. Support local! Maui No Ka Oi! B–

Great for family dinners! Food comes family style so everyone can share. My favs — steak bites, honey walnut shrimp, mandoo, mochiko chicken, and crispy pork. I get the same thing every time because it is just so delicious! The steak comes bite size on a sizzling plate. The shrimp has this sweet crisp outside. All the food is just perfect! Always stuffed to the brim after eating there! Service is not good but the food is too good!

Another sad visit. I really didn’t plan on returning but family wanted to go. This visit was so poor. Seated and received water quickly but then everything fell apart. Long time to place our order. Long time to receive our meal. Get a refill if drinks? Not going to happen. I almost had to go to the bar to get water. Food is ok. But service was horrible. No plans to return.

My daughter and I went to Tiffany’s on Christmas Eve to order and pick up an early dinner. I had TRIED calling to place my order, but the phone had been busy for over an hour. We walked in and waited over 5 mins before being greeted.(There was a bartender and about 6 waitresses milling about.) We then had a waitress call over to us from about 20′ away«You ladies can sit down, you know?» I said I wanted to place a take-out order. The waitress walked up to us and I told her that I had been trying to call for the last hour but the line had been busy the entire time. She said«Oh! I should check the phone.» I asked«Can I place my take-out order?» She said«Sure.» I waited for her to pull out a notepad or something to take my order on, but she just kind of stood there. When I said«Are you ready?» She said«Oh yeah… go ahead…» She then took a minute to mess around and try to find a piece of paper and/or a pen from her pockets. She seemed almost confused or flustered. She finally produced a torn scrap of paper on which she wrote down my order(of 7 items). She then turned away. She never asked for my name or gave me an estimated time of when my order would be done… nothing. My daughter and I sat down on the chairs by the front door. We waited over 5 mins and then I realized I had forgotten to order a certain dish. I went up to the corner of the bar closest by the front door and waited to catch the eye of our waitress. She saw me standing there, but was so busy buzzing around, finishing up her tickets and cashing out that I was ignored. I waited for another waitress. All were so busy talking to each other, dealing with tickets, walking back and forth. I waited to see if the bartender would see me, but he was no where to be found. I eventually walked right up to an older woman who seemed to be in charge and asked her if I could add something onto my take-out order. She looked shocked that I was speaking to her! I glanced down at the bar and saw my order on the torn slip of paper just sitting there and said«Oh look! Here’s my order. Can you pls add an order of steak bites to this?» She grabbed the piece of paper and hurried into the kitchen without saying anything. I went back to sitting down with my daughter where we waited for another 20 mins. While we were waiting, I noticed that every time a man/men walked into the place, at least one of the girls would immediately notice and greet him with a smile and either show him/them to a table or go get his take-out order. Hmmmmm… interesting. Maybe I should have sent my husband instead??? Eventually I figured our order must be finished even though no one said anything, so I walked up to the bar. I noticed there was a box sitting on the counter next to the kitchen door. I bet that’s my order. I wonder how long it had been sitting there? The bartender had come back and was chatting with a customer. I stood and waited. No response. So I butted in on their conversation with«I’m so sorry for bothering you, but could you please check and see if our take-out order is ready?» He asked for my name and I told him that the waitress never asked for my name. He apologized and asked what was on my order. I told him and he walked over to the counter by the kitchen door. Sure enough, the box by the kitchen door was indeed my order. He brought over the box. I paid the bartender for my order and we finally left. Good grief! I have always had a good experience at Tiffany’s previously, but this time the customer service was terrible. I hope someone from the restaurant reads this and shows it to the employees. *Note — There were MAYBE12 customers in the place the entire time we were there, so it wasn’t like they were slammed or anything.

This is our go to place to eat, especially when I get off work late. Its walking distance from home… But lately the service has been terrible. Granted we haven’t been here for a while… Walked in, waited to get seated, one waitress yelled at us «get one open booth in the back», we sat there. Waited at least ten minutes for a menu, no one came, got up and got my own menu from the basket while one of the waitresses watched me from behind their water station. Was hoping for a fast in and out dinner after a long day at work. Food was extra greasy tonight and we’re still here trying to get someone’s attention to get our check and GTFO of here… Ugh.

This is the only hotspot in dreary Wailuku. They have a full bar, karaōke, have great grinds, and are open late. ATMOSPHERE: This used to be a Chinese restaurant, so needless to say, it’s pretty big. Décor is a mess of WTF and WTH. There’s a medium sized bar, with booth and table seating which can accommodate large parties easily. If you want to eat«where the locals eat,» come here. Parking next to the restaurant is super tiny, but a big gravel lot is available across the street. There’s no crosswalk or street lights so be careful when crossing. MENU: A mix of local, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese apps & entrees. FOOD: Won Tun Soup — The clear broth was savory with a pure taste, with soft pork-stuffed won tuns. Great as a chicken noodle soup alternative if you’re under the weather. Won Tun Mein — Though the noodles were over cooked, the broth was really good. It’s like the won tun soup but with added noodles for a ramen-like effect. Steak Bites — This is one of their most popular dishes. Pieces of steak & sliced onions on a sizzling platter. You can smell it and hear it coming… Great flavor. Highly recommended. Kim Chee Fried Rice — No one does this dish better than Tiffany’s. Loads of flavor, blood red rice, medium spice, kim chee pieces, and topped with a fried egg. Their specialty! Honey Walnut Shrimp — Another popular dish they’re known for. Battered, shell off, and deep fried. I’m not a fan of sweet shrimp, but it does taste good. Hamburger Steak — Mainstream and not the best I’ve had. A better version is right next door at Archie’s! Crispy Pork — Tough pork slices with the fat on, then deep fried. It comes with a vinegar dipping sauce. Pass. Kung Pao Chicken — Their version, while traditional, was way too sweet for me. Pass. Chow Fun — Meh… It’s thick-cut chow fun that was over cooked and super mushy. Yuck. Hopefully it was just an off-night for the cook. Flavor was bland. Chicken Katsu — Its hard to screw this one up unless you over cook it. Crunchy, slightly oily but still tasty. I took this one home and used my Kagome-brand katsu sauce because all restaurant katsu sauces suck. Seafood Pancake — Gross! The only dish that I hate at this place. It just did not taste good. At all. Pass. SERVICE: The servers all help each other out, no matter what section you’re in. Service is usually friendly, and food service is quick. OVERALL: Great place for pau hana drinks, great food, and casual company & large group parties.

The staff was great. They were quick and polite. They found our game in Pac12. Sko Duck’s! The poke was poor quality and required chewing. The flavor of the fish was not great. The Macaroni salad was too sweet unexpectedly so. The chicken was pretty good. The meal was inexpensive for the amount of food. The atmosphere was family friendly.

Alright, so it’s not the fanciest place… not located in the most beautiful of areas… but their food is delicious! At the end of the day, that’s all that really matters. Walked in on a Friday night and man was it packed! Felt like I was walking into a high school cafeteria with the amount of people and noise. It’s hard to have a nice conversation with someone without saying, «Wait…what?» or «Huh??? What did you say?» We were seated pretty quickly. Waitress came by asking for our orders really quickly… we weren’t even ready! Haha… yeah could I make it look more obvious that it was my first time there? After skimming through Unilocal pictures and their menu, we decided upon the ahi poke, chow funn, and mochiko chicken. Ahi poke — Nothing to write home about. Didn’t even taste fresh. Didn’t have that slide down your throat because it’s so moist texture. Also, there was so much onions! Bleh! Wouldn’t get it again. Chow funn — This dish is fabulous! First off, it looks different than your average chow funn. The noodles are thick and have a rectangular prism shape to them. I really liked the texture. Liked it better than any other kind of chow funn I’ve had. Mochiko chicken — Being that I’m usually not a fan of mochiko chicken, it’s surprising that I agreed to ordering this. However, I was incredibly blown away! So soft and tasty! I am definitely a fan of their mochiko chicken. When coming here, be ready to grind the food… you can save the chit chat for later. I recommend coming with a group… might as well join in the loud noise! Haha! Good food… good service… reasonable prices for the portion sizes… this place is definitely worth checking out and returning to again and again.

Tiffanys is bar-like ambiance but very family friendly and casual! It’s a great place to go on a casual date, family diner or a bite with friends. Their service is great. The ladies are always so sweet and willing to assist you! Hard to come by these days. Food comes out quick, which is a PLUS when you come in HANGRY! I always get the kimchi fried rice. Just a little too oily and the spicy level is mild. I love the steak with onions served on a sizzling platter, texture is tender. Cooked perfectly. The salt and spicy shrimp is one of my favorites. I dont eat the entire shell, but many do! It does have a quick. Occasionally I would get the honey walnut shrimp, depending if I’m craving it or not. Definitely a fun dive bar serving amazing fusion food with the nicest staff!

Went to Tiffany’s today. It wasn’t very busy when we came in. I ordered a Loco moco & steak bites. My wife ordered the saba fish with side dish tray that cost $ 3 to add on. It took more than 20 minutes of waiting & watching tables that came in after us get their food to go up to our server and enquire where about our meal. Finally, we got our food. But they never brought my wife’s side orders out. So this was a bad experience which I felt should have been compensated by the restaurant. But they only took my wife’s meal off. Could have been better service, even from the management. Someone should have came out, but no one did. Terrible. I will not be back & I will not recommend anyone to come here.

Aaaaah, what a day yesterday… sometimes things don’t go right, but you just gotta take it with a grain of salt… Good or bad… at the end of the day one things for sure, you can always«GRINDZ», to take away the edge off of a hard day! Yesterday, I was on Maui(Wailuku) doing some work… I was loading some software to some equipment when it totally locked up, and brought down the equipment. Yikes! Recovering the machine was an adventure, but after 7.5 hours of grinding on the machine, I completed the task & got the equipment up and running again. And now… you know what time it is? Yes gang… it’s time for lunch! Eating lunch at 4:30PM is quite late… let’s say it was an extremely late lunch, or early dinner. Lol! I was cray cray crazeeeeeeeee hungry, so I remembered my Unilocal buddy Dave F. who told me about a place called — Tiffany’s Bar & Grill in Wailuku.(Mahalo bruddah Dave!) I jumped into my rental… hit the gas, and made a beeline to Tiffany’s. As I walked in, there was a ton of people inside the bar/restaurant, as the Bronco’s vs. Cincinnati football game was going on. Crowded? Yes! Good, cuz that means the food, drinks, & pupu’s must be pretty good over here. As I sat myself down, a waitress dropped off a menu & came back quickly to take my order. Upon scanning the menu, I picked up a «Teishoku — #19 or B» which consisted of BBQ Chicken, Mandoo, Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura with white rice. All of this for just $ 11.95! What a deal! What can I say about the grindz… well, 1st of all, I gotta admit, I totally blew it yesterday! I was up from 6AM, and all I had the entire day was a banana(when I walked out of my house), & two cups of coffee from the Hawaiian Airlines lounge, so when I was eating my lunch/dinner…I was soooooooo hungry I forgot to take a photo of my grindz! After I was more than 2/3’s done… I realized I had not taken a photo, so I totally blew it! Sorry gang! Anyways back to the grindz… I must tell you folks, the food here is outstanding! The Teishoku I had at Tiffany’s was waaaaaaay better than the one I had at Ichiban Restaurant in Kahului. And the best part of it all… was that they gave more, and it was cheaper too! They gave a pretty generous portion of BBQ Chicken(that was all cut up), 3 Mandoo, 1 Shrimp Tempura, &2 Vegetable Tempura. Service was fast & friendly… even several of the waitresses came by to say«hello» although they weren’t serving me, which gave me a nice homie feel for the place! There is limited parking in the small parking lot next to Tiffany’s, but don’t worry gang… there is a very large dirt/paved lot across the street. Just a friendly tip, if you park on the dirt/paved lot, you will have to cross the road to get to the bar/restaurant…be careful, don’t get run over by a car cuz the street is a main thoroughfare, and there are a lot of cars zooming by…
