We tried to check out the store 3 times. We even called twice and was told they were open until 3PM, yet the door was locked and the sign said it was closed. Even during their so called normal business hours they weren’t there. Don’t bother with this place.

If you love antique Asian pieces this is the place to go. The owners have considerable knowledge of antiques and love to share their knowledge with customers. I have bought several pieces from them. It is not a consignment or eBay type store with those type of prices so don’t expect cheap.

Very, very expensive and almost half the items have SOLD tags on them. Only if you want to spend many hundreds to thousands on Asian antiques.

Please ignore the negative reviews of these disgruntled whiners. No store owner wants to buy back your sun-damaged merchandise, and the store smells like fragrant orchids & lilies, not garlic. These very nice gentlemen are serious expert antique dealers with a serious clientele who appreciate authentic museum quality pieces from the Ming & Ching Dynasty. Again, you want a bargain? Go to Craigs List or Pier One.

A few years ago we spent thousands of dollars in this store furnishing our new home. Both Brown and Kobayashi were enthusiastic and helpful. We went back several times and we treasure the pieces we bought. HOWEVER, our home is now for sale and we went back to the store and asked if they might like to have a look at our pieces and buy a few back for a fraction of what we paid based on the fact that they have a store full of VERY similar pieces. Mr. Brown was incredibly rude and treated us like we were trying to sell him rubbish. He looked down his nose at the photos of the VERYSAME pieces he sold us. Oh, and don’t fall for that 30% off for valued customer crap. They tell everyone that.

Very nice antique store. Large Asian furniture, mainly Chinese. Worth a look, but come after 11:00 am.
