Gorgeous condos. We had a third floor room; there were huge glass sliding doors that opened onto a balcony that overlooked the pool. There’s grills and picnic tables for dinners outside. It’s a pretty location, just far from most of the sights in Oahu(1 or so drive). Security is nice, the other people are also nice; the wifi just cuts out a lot, which is inconvenient.

Can Hawaii be affordable? It’s well known that housing prices in the 50th state are amongst the highest in the nation. But what if a slice of paradise could be purchased for the cost of a tiny-house bungalow? Here in Makaha, on Oahu’s Waianae Coast, that place would be Makaha Valley Towers. Located on the island’s leeward side(the same as Honolulu), the Towers are situated near the only rural communities left on the western coast of Oahu. The pace is laid-back. The weather is desert-like sunny and dry. And the beaches are among the least crowded anywhere on the island. Makaha Valley Towers is not adjacent to any of Oahu’s tourist areas. So a first-time visitor, or someone wanting a fast-pace, party-like atmosphere, may want something closer to Waikiki. However, the experienced traveler, or one who prefers a self-reliant lifestyle, may find the Towers all the paradise they need.

This place is horrible the security makes this place an unpleasant experience. They must’ve not passed the police academy so they are in need of attention and authority. Don’t stay here. Not worth it. I will not come back. Nor will I ever recommend this place. Actually, this place is so bad I will tell everyone I know not to come here. My cousin came to visit, we called and asked about extending their stay here maybe till 1230 or 1am. When we found out we couldn’t do it we told them. It was 1158. They need to take the elevator and walk to their car. We get a violation notice that they left at 1206. ?? I mean really?

This review is coming a bit late as I was here back in September when I flew to Hawaii for a new position I took. I stayed at Makaha for a week while I was in the area and it was a great time. I’ll be honest, driving up to it, I didn’t think it was going to be very nice, but the apartment was very well-kept and had great views. The staff(security guards in particular) were very helpful, suggested some things to do in the area, places to shop, etc. It may sound silly to someone that lives there, but my favorite part? PEACOCKSROAMINGTHEGROUNDS! I could not believe it! We just don’t have that on the mainland and it was amazing. I don’t have any intention of moving to Hawaii but if I did, I would definitely consider living here! :)

This place is ridiculous, the people here are rude and ignorant the security are far more strict and down right rude and take there job more serious the a police officer. They don’t help when it comes to making arrangements for overnight passes for guest and will ask you a million questions on why you need it when you pay to live here. The buildings are old and run down with a old smell. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It doesn’t even deserve a 1 star.
