I had a custom Sugar Rush made by Schaper. I love the board. It performs as billed in the description. I mostly ride it south shore and it carves well/​glides nicely. I bought it longer for glide in south shore surf and smaller waves (7’6″ – I’m 165lbs). But it steps up very nicely in bigger surf. I have a FireWire Potatonator and a HyptoKrypto. I ride my Sugar Rush more. And if you order custom from the shop, the board costs almost half as much. My only regret is not ordering slightly heavier glass on top – minor pressure dings. Overall, I’m very happy. Thank you. Lesson learned: buy local/​local shaper. It was way easier/​less intimidating than I thought. And the shop/​shaping room is cool.

Took a board down to the shop to see if it were possible to duplicate. Carl took the time to explain all options and was very friendly and helpful. The shop is very modern and clean. There are many boards of all sizes and designs. Will definitely be back to purchase a board. Highly recommended.
