I live close by and order take out once a week. Everyone is very friendly, the place is so clean. I customize some dishes because of dietary restrictions and they are so accommodating.
The portions are very large. Ask for Phyllis’ homemade Greek desserts, to die for!

The staff is so friendly and attentive. This place has amazing authentic Greek food. The portions are large and always fresh. There is a wide variety of choices and the place is great for families. The restaurant is always so clean. This is great for dining in but the take out is just as good. The take out is always fresh and ready at the time they suggest.

We tried Greek Island Diner again recently and were happier with this visit. Again the staff was excellent and the food came quickly and accurately. I do feel the falafel could be more flavorful and the grape leaves a little less soggy, but they were better than last time and the other items ordered at our table (a sandwich and chicken fingers) came out nicely! In fact, they might be the best chicken fingers I’ve had in a long time.
We’re glad to have tried here again!

This is not just a diner, it’s a place to go where everyone knows your name! Great coffee as I drink plenty and never have to wait till my cup is empty. My food is cooked and prepared awesome. Reasonable prices, perfect for people on a budget, yet high quality food which speaks volumes to the owners ethics! Which are in fact a cute husband and wife couple. Great family business! Come support a true local gem, Greek island diner! As for the staff, what can I say… Sweet, hospitable, on their toes. My fav’s– Kim at the front, her greeting makes you feel like family. Linda, a sweet waitress that works super hard to keep you happy. April, another sweet waitress that will just make you enjoy your stay with great service and a smile. There are more great waitresses like Heather, Dominique, and the spit fire Jocelyn. Come pick your favorite!

My favorite diner! The food is always excellent whenever we go — breakfast, lunch or dinner. All of the staff are friendly and quick. Even on the busiest mornings, they get you seated quickly. They serve a good cup of coffee and always come around offering more. Our favorite go-to’s are the greek island omelet, the french toast and the gyro (not all at once) ;)

The food was heavenly and served in ginormous portions. When Linda (the most awesome server ever) asked if we wanted to split the gyro we laughed. We were hungry.
We were wrong.
My parents were delighted by the service (as was I) and ate until we almost died. I’d heartedly recommend the gyro, the roast beef sandwich and their milkshakes! And hey, if you need to buy a Christmas tree there’s a place right next door :)
Perfect spot in Wading River and conveniently near Rocky Point.

Extremely disappointed in the lack of integrity, will most likely never eat there again and will share my bad experience with anyone who asks for a recommendation. Because we enjoy their food, which is really good, I will often stop for take out on the way home from work… on my last trip I asked to add sliced onion to my sandwich and was charged $ 2 extra (imagine my disappointment when I got home and had a few slivers of onion for that price). I asked why I was being charged $ 2 for onion and was told, «The boss is here.» When I later checked the menu on-​line, the only thing I could find as an add on for $ 2 that came close was sautéed mushrooms and onions… which is not what I ordered and certainly not what I got. Greek Island — how come you don’t reduce the price when we take things off like bacon which you charge $ 3 to add, but charge that much extra for a few slices of onion… shame on you, you just lost a customer.

Always like the food and service but Joclyn needs to come to grips with the fact that she doesn’t have to flirt with men to get a good tip. My husband was really insulted by this Waitresses attempts at flirting with him we think for a good tip, especially the touching. It actually started to get uncomfortable for the both of us so we left right after we ate. We have two beautiful young daughters who Waitress and they don’t need to act that way to get a good tip. Joclyn would be better served just providing good, friendly service to everyone at the table like all the other Waitresses here, especially as you never know when the woman is paying!

Showed up on a Saturday afternoon with three hot and cranky toddlers and two infants. The folks at Greek Island Diner quickly accommodated us at a nice large table, and though I was expecting them to be merely tolerant of our situation, they were actually proactively helpful in helping us have the most efficient dining experience possible. They smiled and chatted with our kids, cooed at our babies, and most importantly, got our food out to us incredibly fast. Oh, and the B.L.T. was phenomenal.

I love this place! Their food is amazing and I came in the other day and ordered for two and within 7 minutes everything was done. Very large portions and well worth your money. Everything I’ve had from here is great from the breakfast menu to the salads and paninis. 5 stars hands down.

I ordered catering for my daughters first birthday party. The food was outstanding and fresh. I ordered the filet mignon kebobs, Shrimp Santorini, moussaka, Chicken stuffed with spinach and feta, and sausage and peppers. Everyone raved about how good the food was. They also delivered on time!

I came here because they brag about how great their hamburgers are. Not true. Tasteless burger. I am not a fan of McDonalds but a double quarter pounder is far tastier then the burger served at this diner. the staff is very nice and the service is great. because it is in a store front in a strip center mall it does not feel like a stand alone cozy diner with booths, no booths just table and chairs seating. if i lived down the block i would go back, but since it is 20 minutes drive, the food isnt so great that i would frequent the place. also, a bit pricier then other diners. acceptable experience but nothing to write home about.

Great food! My husband and I went here one early morning after first moving to town, and we were pleasantly surprised at how delightful the staff was and how good the food is.
We both got pancakes, and they were delish! Light, fluffy, and perfect. We have since been back two or three times, and have never had a bad experience. Great diner food, great prices!

This welcoming diner is definitely the go-​to place for polite service, affordable meals, and tasty food. The omelette was fluffy and came with buttered toast and spicy seasoned hash-​browns (props to the seasoning). The pizza was cheesy and came as four medium-​sized soft-​crusted square slices (good as an appetizer or a meal for one person only). The chicken in the gyro was very tender but in my opinion, tasted more like fishcakes. Overall, its a homey place for delicious diner food.
