The TSA screeners here are very rude, arrogant and unprofessional. No wifi available. No arrival/departure display in waiting area, no clear signs on where to go. And if you are in the military, you will be treated like a criminal here. Not sure where the hostility towards military comes from. It doesn’t cost much more to fly DFW where they treat you right.

I love small airports and Waco doesn’t disappoint. Quick and easy rental car pick up/drop off. I’m used to renting with National but Hertz was just as accommodating for such a small airport. There is one ticket counter, which is American Airlines. Check your bag at the kiosk and they call your name. Going through security was a cake walk. No need to come early to fight the crowds! There are only three gates here so you know you won’t have a selection of eateries. Don’t think you can come early and grab a California roll, Starbucks or a gluten-free sandwich or anything. The little café is closed now(almost noon on Saturday) so plan ahead. I am so glad I didn’t drive from Dallas.

As a retired government employee who had many opportunities to do business with the airport it was my experience that the facility has greatly improved and the staff demonstrates excellent customer service skills. The personnel are friendly and helpful. The AA staff and NSA officials were courteous. It was my experience that they did what they could to accommodate cancelled flights. The airport staff cannot be responsible for the airline equipment. Yes, I was frustrated by delayed and cancelled flights due to mechanical problems. However, those problems are the responsibility of the airline companies. The only negative thing I will say about the airport is the food service. It is too expensive. Though, I suppose all airport food is expensive.
