Been giving this place a shot a few times but for acrylics I DONOT recommend it they always mess up my nails, they look like if a 5 year old did them. Not too friendly employees either

I didn’t make an appointment, but I walked in and they were able to fit me in right away. I was directed to pick out a color and they didn’t have too many options. In their defense, it was a little busy when I went so most of the colors were probably being used or just haven’t been put up yet. I was directed to a seat where there was a cold water bottle waiting for me which I thought was a great customer service act. I chose the Spa pedicure. She began my pedicure and everything was going fine. The massage was EXCELLENT. However, when we got to the wax for my feet, I got a little bug eyed. I am a licensed cosmetologist, so I believe I have a fair amount of knowledge for sanitation in the salon/spa. She dipped my feet into a warmer of wax instead of taking wax from it and putting it on my feet another way. Who knows how many other people’s feet have been in that warmer and it makes me uncomfortable to think about. Double dipping is just a huge no in the beauty industry and I don’t believe TDLR would be okay with this. It just doesn’t seem very sanitary. I don’t exactly know the proper protocols because I’m not a nail technician, but it just seems to be unprofessional. Other than the lack of colors and the wax dipping, everything else was great and I probably would have given 5 stars.

I just left here and pedicure was HORRIBLE. I especially did like after I received my pedicure I saw they other nail tech showing the other customers the different choices of pedicures. I was not even informed there were different kinds. The older lady I was given to do my pedicure did not clean cuticles good nor did she remove dead skin on heel properly nor could she polish. WASNOT A HAPPYCUSTOMERLEAVING.

This place gave me a HORRIBLE pedicure. I told the man several times that I needed him to get all the dry skin off and even had to ask him to get polish off my skin where he painted my toes. I left VERYUPSET and the next day my feet looked like I had really never had them done dry skin and the nail polish job was so bad. So I called the place and they said to come back in so I did and was treated so RUDE, like I was such an inconvenience. They say me down and tried to get the SAME person to «FIX» it but said NO !!! So another lady came and was SOOOORUDE she started soaking my feet and then started scrubbing and was doing it rough so untold her that hurts so she put that food back into the water and did the other one. My foot started burning so I looked at it and sure enough she had made me bleed. I WILLNEVERBEBACKHEREANDWILLTELLEVERYONEELSENOTTOEITHER!!!

I was in town visiting my daughter. We decided to use Unilocal to find a good place for a Manicure & pedicure. There wasn’t a lot to chose from. So, we called Nails of America. We asked for an afternoon appointment. We were told there were none available. We went in anyways and were able to get in right away. The décor is really nice and spacious. There are a ton of pedicure stations. We actually opted for the higher priced pedicure which included a foot wax. All in all I thought the pedicure was pretty good. The manicure was severely lacking. He cut my nails much shorter than I would have liked. And, because they kept pushing it I went for the more expensive gel nail polish. Because he had cute my nails so short I decide not to go with a color. So, spending the extra money on the gel nail polish was a waste. He didn’t massage my hands at all. The technician who took care of my daughter did give her a nice hand massage. I don’t know why mine didn’t. Maybe he had someplace to be. All In all it was really expensive. The visit ended up costing $ 75 each plus tip. I would try someplace new next time.

I just left and I am very happy with the pedicure I got. They massaged my legs, feet, and hands. I’m not from here, but would definitely come here again.

Some of the best service I’ve ever had. Cold water while in the pedicure chair. Included an arm, neck, & shoulder massage. Absolutely loved it! My manicure was great as well. Shellac looks great!

This place is really hit or miss for me, it really depends on who your nail tech is. Been here 4x for gel manicure(usually $ 50, I get French shellac) and regular pedicure($ 30). First off I feel like the prices are really steep. Service is good enough, they always give you a water and I have decent conversations but it just seems expensive. I’m a college student, and the area I’m originally from is pretty wealthy, but this place is more expensive than where I’m from. I’ve had polish that lasted for a long time, and polish that chipped or looked really bad after just walking out the door. Major problem is the fluctuation of service level and attention to detail by the staff.

Do not waste your time coming here! The people are lazy and do not care if your nails look good or not. I got a pedicure and manicure. The pedicure consisted of soaking my feet, putting lotion on, and then painting my toenails. Did not scrub my feet/file on my toes. I asked the guy multiple times to fix my nails which were not straight and he told me to rub my nails after the dry! I do not recommend anyone go here and waste your money.

This was probably the worst manicure I’ve had. I was in town for the Baylor/TCU game and decided to get my nails redone for the game. I never went to this place while I was a student at Baylor and I can see why. I got a regular manicure and she took maybe 15 minutes to do everything. I asked for my nails to be cut down and she barely did. Some of my nails were rounded while others left squared. She also seemed annoyed that I wanted a different color on my ring fingers. She rushed through painting my nails and most of them were smudged or bubbled up. I pointed it out to her and she said«it’ll be better when it dries.» I left with bumpy, uneven, and just all around bad nails. I hope this was an isolated incident, but this will probably be last time I will go to Nails of America. I’ll stick to my Houston place.

Wonderful! The Deluxe Pedi($ 40) is well worth the money for the fantastic massage. The gel manicures are wonderful too! I’ve gone to Thuy, Michael, and a couple other people that I don’t know by name — but I have NEVER had a bad experience in the 2+ years I’ve been going.

This is my favorite place to come get a pedicure in Waco. It’s a really relaxing atmosphere and the staff does a great job. I always go for the Deluxe Pedi($ 40) because it includes an arm, shoulder and neck massage! I mean, who doesn’t need that?! It’s more pricey than other places but I think it’s well worth it. It’s always clean, quiet, and professional.

Horrible horrible place. My sister and I had been waiting when the man who had us sign in took 3 walk in in front of us. All were younger girls. Enough said, guess you have to be young and scantily dressed to get service here. My sister and I walked out. Do not go here!

Overall the place looks nice but was such a disappointment. I could have painted my nails and toes myself and it would have been way better. My nails look so tacky and I am contemplating getting them re painted somewhere else. I am a baylor student and didn’t know where to go, so of you’re having the same concerns… do not go to this place. It was a wasted $ 40. My roommate got solar nails and you can see her nailbeds underneath her nails. She was highly disappointed as well.

They run like a factory. Not relaxing. Poor quality job. Felt like I was a nuisance, not a welcomed customer.

Clean, upscale nail salon. Usually busy but short wait times. Lots of men working, which is rare in my experience. Prices equivalent to salons back in California(which is ridiculous because they are on the pricier side), but compared to other locations in the area, possibly worth it. Give you a bottle of water with every service. Quick and efficient, but the downside is that they will not spend extra time on anything even after you ask.

I go here every trip to Waco! Great pedicures at a good price, good gel nail selection, and nice employees. Also, what’s not to like about the dolphin fountains? If you get a pedicure, go for the deluxe bc you get lotion and the wax on your feet. For a manicure, go with their gel nails. My last gel nail manicure lasted for over 2 weeks! Since this is a popular place, it does get crowded on the weekends. I suggest going on a weekday or calling ahead on a weekend to see what the wait is like. If you need a mani or pedi in Waco, this is the place to go!

I had a medical procedure done last week that required me to take off two of my nails so that the oxygen meter read thingy would work. I didn’t think 8 out of 10 nails really matched my Easter Dress and I didn’t have time to make an appointment at my normal salon in Frisco before coming to Waco for the Easter weekend. I came here Saturday to get my nails done. I had the set I had removed and another new set put on. While they did an «A-OK» job with the nails… I was appalled at their method of removing the original set… by breaking them off. OUCH! That hurt! There is no excuse for doing it like that. I’d come back here for a new set… but I think I’d clip off the old set first cause at least I can do it without making tears come to my eyes.

This place is very nice and relaxing on the inside. I walked in without an appointment for a pedicure and they quickly ushered me back to a massage chair and started drawing up a foot bath in order to soak my feet. It made my first pedi experience very enjoyable with a few TVs, a magazine rack, bottle of water and comfy chairs. The staff was courteous and attentive.

Update: Downgraded to a 3. Place is still nice inside, but they kind of suck in general. They always rush you out, even when there’s no one there. As in, straight up kick you out. And have had more polish mishaps since I’ve been there. I am taking my $ 30 elsewhere from now on. No need to keep trying. Original: Pretty nice for a pop-in nail joint. I went there for a pedicure. They have nice chairs, TVs to watch, they give you water. Price is on the high side, but not terrible. I used Lisa. She’s an older lady, and she was really good. One bad thing though… they used acetone to clean up the polish on the skin, and it got on the polish and it NEVER dried. Had to remove the polish. I figure that was a goof, not standard fare.
