I came here because of the rave reviews on Unilocal.I saw Robyn on two separate occasions for a leg wax and an underarm wax. I left sticky and full of stubble both times! It was incredibly painful and when I asked about all of the hair that was left behind her excuse was «well, waxing will never get you as smooth as shaving will. It just won’t». Not true because I went to a different salon to get a Brazilian and the results were so much better and less painful! It hurt less and was 100% smooth for weeks! Yes, Robyn was friendly and knowledgeable but her technique was terrible. I also had the other salon redo my underarms when it was time and I got much better results than I did at Glow.

My first waxing experience was here and I’ve recommended it to at least 4 friends who loved it as well. Robyn, the owner, makes you feel very comfortable and takes the awkwardness out of a bikini wax. There is also a discount for college students which I love. They use grapeseed oil after the wax so you don’t leave sticky and your skin feels smooth. The décor is also great.

Robyn is an actual Saint. The place is very welcoming and she explains everything to you before she does it. Their products are made for all skin styles and works great for sensitive skin. Her technique is relatively painless compared to other big chain waxing centers! She takes her time and removes all the hair you want! I’m truly amazed with this place and am so glad I finally found a good waxing place in Waco!

Finally caved and went to have my eyebrows professionally waxed at Glow. I’ll never pick up my tweezers again! The owner not only did a fantastic and pain-​free job, she also gave me a tutorial on how to fill in my rather scraggly eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil. Wish I could go weekly — it was THAT relaxing!

I have been a customer at Glow for years, after jumping from salon to salon, not finding anyone I liked. My eyebrows are always perfectly waxed and tinted. Bikini waxes are quick, efficient and not as painful as ones I had before discovering Glow.
I also love the skin care products sold at Glow. They never push products on you, but if you ask they will take their time helping you find the perfect combination for your skin and recommend ways to keep your skin looking its best.

After years of getting my eyebrows waxed at a nail salon and having them break out with acne for a week every time, it was definitely time to try something new. I found Glow Skin Care & Waxing Studio as one of the top rated places on Google and Unilocal and knew I had to give it a try! I didn’t make an appointment and came in about 10 minutes before closing but she took me in anyways and I’m super glad she did!
This is now my GO-​TO PLACE for getting my eyebrows waxed! Robyn is so nice, polite, and friendly and the waxing didn’t hurt a bit! Her store is super clean, trendy and stylish I absolutely love it! The best part is that the next day and week after getting my eyebrows waxed, my eyebrows NEVER broke out with acne bumps! Her price is the same as an eyebrow wax at the nail salon but with way better customer service and a better experience! Making my next appointment right now :)

This review is looong overdue! I travel to Waco often for business and called Robyn several months ago in desperate need of a wax. Yes, desperate. lol. I found Glow Skin Care per the Unilocal reviews so I gave Robyn a call and left a voice mail. What thoroughly impress me is Robyn called me back the same day, said that she was fully booked, then recommended a friend at another salon. She didn’t have to do that. She could have just ignored my request. Because of her professionalism and customer service, on my next return I booked an appointment with her. She was a joy to talk to and we laughed through the entire session. I was a little apprehensive about the wax strips (I’ve been using Brazilian blue wax for years) but she did a fantastic job. I was highly pleased.
I would recommend Robyn to anyone! She is fun and professional and you can tell she enjoys what she does. I think I secretly hope my business trips are scheduled every four weeks. lol

After having my eyebrows completely ruined the last time I had them waxed at a «nail salon» I was set on finding a reputable place to help me reshape them & begin the process of fixing them when it was time to get them done again. After reading several recommendations from friends about Glow Skin Care, I decided to make an appointment & I’m definitely glad I did.
I felt like I was introduced to a whole new world today. If I had discovered this place sooner I wouldn’t have stepped foot in another unsanitary & unprofessional NAIL SALON for an eyebrow wax. Hindsight is always ²⁰⁄₂₀ though, I guess.
Robin was very informative & explained the entire process to me. The atmosphere was very inviting & sanitary. I was also able to book my appointment online which was extremely convenient. I’m very happy with the results & the best part was the fact that I didn’t have to pay any more than I’ve been paying at these other places.
I will definitely be returning!

I had a Brazilian wax, an eyebrow wax & tint, and a facial from Robyn. She made me feel comfortable and had lots of knowledgable recommendations for my skin. I was nervous about the waxing, but Robyn is very skilled at what she does, so it was quick and definitely easier and less painful than I thought! If you need an aesthetician in Waco who is professional and personable, give Robyn at glow a try!

I recently moved to the area from Los Angeles and was worried about trying to find someone to do a good Brazilian wax here. What I received from Robyn at Glow was not good, it was fantastic! She is personable and professional and puts you at ease right away. The space is charming and clean. Her technique is superb and it might have been the least painful wax I’ve ever received, as far as waxes go. Make an appointment today… you wont be disappointed.

The only place in Waco I would go to for waxing! Robyn is professional, thorough and knowledgeable about skin care.

Glow is a total hidden gem tucked away in a corner of the shops above Cricket’s.
They do the best facials I’ve ever had. Not even a contest. I left feeling refreshed and like my face was a thousand times less yucky than it was before. They’re a little pokey with extractions, but that’s how it should be! I’m glad that they were able to poke around and get things out without bruising my face, heh.
They’re also good at recommending what you need to maintain that fresh just-​had-​a-​facial look for a while, plus they sell a few things there in the salon.
They also waxed my ‘brows in a way that’s not pencil-​thin or unnatural-​looking. LOVE.
