Crossing from Alabama into Georgia, you’d really never notice, except that they have welcome stations. This was a very nice stop, with very polite employees and a very clean bathroom. The vending machines were all in working order and provided a nice selection of items to choose from, including ice cream. They even have Georgia Lottery machines to buy from.

Super clean! This rest stop gets a huge mom thumbs up from this mom of 4! Finding a clean comfortable rest stop while traveling is almost like finding a needle in a haystack! It was well lit and the grounds were well maintained. Plenty of parking. There was a safe place to walk your dog and benches to sit or stretch your legs.

This welcome center is just inside the GA/Alabama border on I-20E. I tell you what, it is such a good feeling when you get here after a long drive– assuming there are no awful accidents ahead(which is likely to happen) — Atlanta is only 50 miles down the road. That’s just a dangerous 50 miles… This welcome center is a decent size, and I like it for that reason– It is spacious, in styling, and clean. The one thing I like about GA welcome centers is the fact they are newer than the rest of most welcome centers, partly in fact to the Olympics in 1996. For rest area standards, 1996 is NEW. It would be hard for me to take pics of the insides of these facilities unless I was guaranteed no one was in them, as I do not want to be accused of being a peeping Tom. The facilities are abundant here though. In the info center, there are 2 large plush leather couches you can sit down and relax in, but I did not utilize them. Maybe my next drive home. There is easy in/out for cars and trucks, and parking surrounds the building. There are plenty of picnic areas here as well. Did I already mention how good of a feeling it is to arrive here?
