Best pancake in Waco. Great service. Good omelets. The eggs Benedict was good. Very cool décor. Great location downtown. Expect a wait on the weekends if you get there after 9:00 or if there is an event at Baylor. A little pricey for breakfast but the quality matches. They serve lunch but I’ve never tried it.

After coming here several times over the last year and a half this morning is my last straw. I won’t be coming back. Their customer service is materially lacking in professionalism, and their operation is extremely disorganized. My party of two ordered omlets. The waitress said we can make any additions or substitutions. We asked if we can substitute for egg whites, and asked if there was any additional charge to do so. She said there was no charge. Lo and behold the bill comes back and there is a $ 1.35 up charge for egg whites. We ran this by the waitress and she responded with«oh they never used to charge for egg whites but I’ve been off for a week so I don’t know if they changed their policy.» She then took our bills and went off. She came back a few minutes later, and said that they always have charged for egg whites. I asked how this was our fault, as we ordered egg whites bases on the premise that there would not be any extra charge. She then asked«I’m assuming you want this adjusted?» to which we replied«yes of course.» She disappeared, and some time later a «manager» looking fellow came to our table and curtly asked«sir what’s the problem here?» I reiterated our issue. At this point, he repeated that they have always charged for egg whites, and the waitress should have known better. Then he adamantly stated there was nothing they could do here – because, get this– we already ate the omelettes! He said that if we didn’t already eat them then they could’ve fixed it! But this logic made no sense. How were we to know that an extra charge would be incurred *prior* to the our consumption of the meal, when the bill doesn’t come out until *after* we finish eating the meal?! Especially when the waitress explicitly informed us that there would be no such charge? At the end of the conversation he blatantly refused to adjust the charge, saying that«this is the way they do things here.» I asked him if he was really going to fight us on this, to which he tried to aver that he wasn’t fighting… So at the end we just had to bite the bullet on something that wasn’t our fault to begin with. THISISNOWAYTOTREATYOURCUSTOMERS. The point of this is not $ 1.35 charge. The point is that we were lied to as customers and then were punished for the mistake of their own employees. We could’ve made a better informed decision about what to order had we been provided with the right information. The wait staff was unprofessional in their demeanor. Moreover, there were other minor screw ups which led to an overall bad experience. My dining mate did not get everything he ordered in his omlette. I did not get ketchup until I flagged down a waiter/waitress for the third time, even though I ordered it with my meal. I ordered a glass of water but only received it after I finished my meal. Our waitress never came back to check on us after we received our food. There was little to no apologies for any wrongdoing or ill-treatment. These are basic fundamentals of customer service that is expected but was missing here. I will never be back again, and will absolutely caution anyone I know to refrain from eating here.

This was a horrible experience. The cappuccino was just hot milk. I waited for 15 minutes to tell the waitress I did not want it and would take a regular coffee. Finally I went up to the counter and turned it in. She came back to the table with regular coffee and said I would be charged for both the regular and the cappuccino I could not drink. I asked for the manager. He said I would have to pay even though I sent it back without drinking it. I said I would not pay for it and he said he would call the police. … I wS just trying to have a nice Valentine’s Day breakfast. So I asked them to bring it back since I had to pay. Finally they brought me a new one(in a chipped mug) and it was only slightly better. Then after waiting an hour from our order time for the food I called the waitress over and she assured us our order had gone in. The guests next to us has come in after us, ordered after us, eaten, paid and left and we still did not have our meal. My husband went and told the manager and still no food. Finally we had to leave to get to the airport and told them up front t we would pay for the coffee and cappuccino. They actually wanted us to keep waiting and take the food to go. It took them time to finally give us the bill for just the drinks and let us out of there. I would not recommend this place at all even though I enjoyed it many times in the past. Somehow they don’t think it is important to serve their customers.

I am extremely frustrated. I waited for 10 minutes to get seated. The waitress smiled and was nice but seemed to be incapable of taking the correct orders or bringing us our food before it got cold. And we didn’t even get all of the food. We waited for 52 minutes before deciding we were not going to be able to get our complete order. Manager was rude and would not even bring us cheese. Extremely frustrated, not sure why I got out of bed for this. Don’t waste your time here, you can get better service and better food anywhere. Just throw a rock and go where it lands, you will eat better there.

This was a very disappointing meal. The coffee, cappacino was terrible and customer service was just as bad. we had to place our order with two different waitresses who obviously didn’t like each other. My only guess as to why there was a line outside the restaurant is the lack of restaurants in the area. The food was mediocre at best. The highlight of the 1.5 hr experience was the fist fight in the kitchen that spilled into the restaurant.

The service was absolutely horrible. The waiter put my order in wrong. I then asked 5 different members of the staff for the rest of my food. It was never brought to me. The manager refused to give me a discount for any part. Not only did I never get my food but 3 members of the staff were standing around for my entire HOURAND A HALFWAIT, and giggling like little school girls. I am livid. I have been a customer for 6 years. I can guarantee that I will NEVER return. Please do not eat here, you will only leave hungry and frustrated. Oh and the manager said he didn’t have a problem calling the cops because I didn’t want to pay full price. Wow.

Came here with my parents from Dallas on our way to San Antonio. The atmosphere and location of this place is very nice and cozy. Upon arrival, we were sat almost immediately. The service was decent and our waitress was polite. The reason I give this place 2 stars is because of the food and coffee. My parents ordered 2 coffees and 1 cappuccino and it was awful. No flavor, very weak, and it tasted like water. The food was all very processed and nothing tasted authentic. I ordered the Mexican scramble and my mom ordered the Migas. You could tell just from looking at the food that its mainly canned food. Perhaps the pancakes would have been a better option. If you’re looking for a breakfast place with good, authentic and freshly made food, keep searching!

I love this place. The breakfast is amazing especially the pancakes. LaToya waited on me and her smile is infectious. She is very polite and has excellent customer service. Try the home fries too you won’t be disappointed.

This is a nice cozy café. I enjoyed the white chocolate coconut cappuccino along with my buttermilk pancake, which was huge and delicious. The croissant sandwich was very good, I recommend it with ham as the meat; and the migas were very tasty as well, I just which the cook would have let the tortilla cook a little longer so they would be nice and crispy when they add the egg. My only complain was that my coffee mug was chipped on the rim and on the base. But other than that I recommend this place

A Baylor favorite. They have a wide variety of syrups to choose from for espresso drinks. Coffee: 3⁄5 stars. Food: 5⁄5 stars. Their omelettes and pancakes are outstanding. Seasonal favorites are the gingerbread pancakes and eggnog lattes. I would get here early on weekends if you do not want to wait a long time.

Really not impressed with the staff here at café Capp. The last few times I just have not appreciated the way I am treated.

I typically get the two-egg combo with bacon and hash browns(and toast or pancake) so I can’t speak to some of the fancier items on the menu but the food is always good and the cappuccinos are delish(served in a large mug). Servers are friendly and attentive. They always ask us if we want a coffee to go.

I went there this morning with a friend. We were waiting outside because this location is extremely small and cramped… and because we waited outside on name got skipped on the list and we ended up waiting 45 minutes for our table. I though it was really ridiculous that they didn’t call our name outside because there was at least 20 people waiting outside and the hostess was fully aware. Our waitress was ok… but she never refilled any of our drinks. She only took our order and brought us the check. The food was good… but the service here sucks.

The food is pretty lit. The service here really is the worst. I understand that it’s a small place and it gets busy, but the wait to get food is ridiculously long. Our waitress has been MIA the whole time we’ve been here, so much so that I don’t even remember what she looks like as I’m sitting in the restaurant– I feel neglected. The service here is consistently mediocre and really makes for an unpleasant experience. I will admit the food is good and I’ve been pleased with everything I’ve ordered when I’m here, but the wait honestly makes it not worth coming. I could to to IHOP and have way less of a wait and food that’s just as good. I don’t plan on returning to Café Cappuccino.

Just this morning my friends and I decided to try this place instead of IHop. It was my first time and anything seemed better than a 15 – 20 minute wait during the breakfast rush. Our wait took only a few minutes before we were seated which was nice since the place was already semi-crowded. Everything on the menu looked great as did the décor. We ordered and this was where we ran into trouble. The wait for the food was very long to the point where we regretted not taking the 15 – 20 minute wait at IHop. When the food did arrive, my order didn’t come out. That was 4⁄5 of our orders that did make it to the table. And while that seemed very good statistically, in a restaurant setting, that was pretty bad. The waitress apologized and assured me that mine would come out in a few minutes. It took me 5 minutes after to realize that it wasn’t being held up or that the kitchen was swamped with orders. They simply forgot to make my order and were currently making it. In all honesty, I was a little mad and unhappy. It didn’t help that by the time my order did come out everyone else at my table was done eating. In fact, right when the waitress placed my food on the table, she asked if she could clear some plates out of the way for everyone else. Right when I was halfway through, she brought the checks. Despite being a college student, I do tip nicely because I have respect for waitresses/waiters that do their jobs despite all the rude customers they have to deal with. However, this was just too much. I couldn’t find any reason to tip the waitress even with her apologies. Call me cruel and unusual but I’m rather picky about things like this. Now the food. I ordered the café combo — two eggs(scrambled), one rather large chocolate chip pancake, sausage links, and hashbrowns. Maybe my image of scrambled eggs is warped from years of IHop, Cracker Barrel, and countless sights of Gordon Ramsey’s heavenly scrambled eggs, but these scrambled eggs were too dry and not at all… scrambled? They seemed like they were actually torn in strips rather than a scrambled mess and while I appreciated the creativity and neat way they were cooked, they didn’t taste very nice in my mouth. The sausage links were too hard and dry, but that’s just personal preference. The hashbrowns, however, were amazing as were the pancakes. You definitely get your money’s worth with the pancakes as they were larger than my head. I think I can manage to give this place two stars as one star would just be too cruel. Maybe I just came on a bad day but whatever the reason I don’t think I’ll be coming again.

Great place for breakfast-breakfast sandwiches, eggs anyway you want, bacon(including turkey bacon!), omelettes, pancakes, French toast-too many choices! Beautiful décor, with lots of room. This place has a plethora of drink choices-I chose the vanilla coconut cappuccino, it came in quite a large cup, frothy top, and was delish! I will definitely be visiting this place again when I’m in town-so wish it was in Austin!

This place was ok I went with 2 of my coworkers and we all agreed it was a 3 star. I ordered the Feista omelette which comes with 1 whole plate sized pancake. The pancakes were extremely delicious but the omelette was really dry and did not come with cheese I should of paid attention to the menu. One of my coworkers had the French toast and a sausage slider which is just a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. The other had a sausage and cheese omelette she agree the omelette was dry and the pancakes were delicious. We all agreed we will try this place again but order something different of course.

We had lunch with The Niece and her boyfriend over the weekend. They picked Café Cappuccino as a place in Waco that«didn’t suck» and I have to say it was a-ok. I ordered an egg white omelet and dry rye toast. Food was delivered as expected and, to my surprise, it was a reasonably sized omelet — prob the equivalent of a two-egg standard omelet. I was surprised because the pancakes that I saw others order were plate-filling huge, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I wouldn’t say the flavor was outstanding, but it was tasty and not bad. However, I don’t know that I’d go back if I were in Waco unless it truly is one of the only places that doesn’t «suck.»

Nice service and giant portions! I had the banana pecan pancakes, best pancakes I’ve ever had! I will definitely be back. Kind of an outdated look though
