This place is about 15 minutes from where I live. It is still quiet, remote, lonely and just ever so slightly creepy. There is a church next to the foundation of the compound and head stone like markers as a memorial for those who died during the siege.
I stopped just behind the big iron gates to read each stone with everyone’s name on it (see photos) it is a beautiful memorial for a tragic story.
The homeowner across the street (like the ATF/​FBI «trap» house) was not impressed with visitors the church next to the foundation was guarded by a very aggressive dog, and there were a LOT of grasshoppers and crickets.
