C&G serviced my 2BR apartment for about a year. After a rocky start I hung in there and eventually things improved somewhat. Their price was fair but the cleaning was inconsistent at best, especially the bathroom and – what you’d think would be a no-​brainer – dusting!
They were generally pleasant enough to deal with and usually did an okay job; only occasionally was the cleaning particularly good or unacceptably poor. Most of the time I simply felt that I was getting service commensurate with the low price. Their insistence on cash-​only was inconvenient (hello, IRS?) but on the plus side they’re insured and bonded.
Despite my having hung in there after the rocky start and a year of loyal patronage I was eventually dropped as a customer shortly before the holidays after having had the audacity to complain about coming home on cleaning day to find soap scum in bathtub in need of scrubbing, traces of my morning shave left clinging to the sink and enough dust on my bedroom lamp to write «Clean Me» with my finger (no doubt an impossible to achieve level of perfection on my part.)
I was offered an apology, an unsolicited refund and told it would be best to part ways since this was one of their top teams, such was the level of their frustration to find a solution to so vexing and complicated a problem as consistently and adequately cleaning a 2BR apartment. It seemed beyond mortal comprehension to think that even a top team might occasionally half-​a$$ a job every once in a while and maybe – just maybe – require a bit more management supervision.
Since it was never my intention to finagle a refund or some sort of freebie I told them to keep their refund and to please return my key, which after almost a month has yet to be returned.
Apparently, ensuring consistent quality control of a home cleaning service rivals manned space travel, curing cancer and attaining world peace in terms of difficulty. That or it was just easier to cut loose some impossible-​to-​please crank that was only bringing in $ 75 a month. You be the judge.

Clean and Green Cleaning Service is the shining star of a difficult out of state relocation! We moved into a house that had been neglected by the previous tenant; unfortunately our landlord put his trust in another cleaning service that did little more than sweep and do a little «surface cleaning.» When we moved in and pointed out what a poor job his contractor did (to which he was horrified), he told us to hire another service and deduct it from our next month’s rent. I needed someone who would be willing to do a super-​duper DEEP cleaning not unlike what one would expect in a «pre-​move in» cleaning… not an easy thing since we had already moved in. What needed to be done was far more than I am capable do on my own.
Thank GOD for Clean and Green! Traci and Jeanine came to the house to assess and provide me with an estimate. As I walked them through the house, the areas I addressed were in such a pitiful state that I worried they would not want to take on the job. The appliances were so disgusting that I didn’t even open them. The floors underneath the appliances had never been swept let alone mopped. The doors were dusty and sticky, the windows (sills included) were grimy, and the floors… well, there are no words for the condition of the floors. When they accepted the job, I wanted to cry and hug them. Finally, someone to help me with this place!
The day of the cleaning appointment everyone (there were four) arrived promptly with smiling faces. They were a polished crew (no pun intended), VERY friendly, and they got started right away while my husband and I sat in the living room (in case they needed anyone to move appliances or furniture). We didn’t want to get in their hair, so we left them alone but you could hear that they seemed to enjoy each other’s company and what they were tasked to do.
Once they were through and I walked through the house, I (AGAIN!) wanted to cry and give them HUGE hugs! What a DIFFERENCE! Absolutely EVERYTHING sparkled!!! Windows, floors, cabinets, counters, appliances… GORGEOUS!!! I finally feel like I can live here! They even folded the end of the toilet paper into a point… I felt like Queen for a day!
Clean and Green SAVED ME!!! I don’t think they’ll ever know the difference that they made in my life. The relocation (and reduction of square footage!) was hard enough, but trying to tackle the worst parts of the house each day (in addition to the regular, daily chores that need to be done just to keep afloat) was a crippling nightmare. Nothing ever seemed to improve. Ever.
Clean and Green Cleaning Service didn’t just give me a livable home. They improved my husband’s and my quality of life. I hope they know that they provided that service, too… :)
I will DEFINITELY hire them for regular cleaning. And a few times a year for deep cleaning is totally worth it.
