Santana Burrito Mexican Food

I’ve been here a couple of times. Their enchiladas are great. Unfortunately, I can only buy them during the afternoon when the day cook is working. I have received the wrong order a couple times, and the cashiers were very rude about it.

Shitty as place, shitty customer service and to top it off the food is not so good! The burritos are alright, yet the meat wasn’t fully cooked!

If you like an onion burrito easy on the meat then this is still NOT a good place. The only good thing is the food is ready right away. Maybe my soggy onion burrito was sitting there before I got there. So… No… Just no.

It’s okay, nothing great about this joint. I have used their drive through more often than gone inside. The burritos were decent enough they fresh guacamole and pico de gallo when I tried them and I liked how they didn’t try to put beans on it like many other places do. The staff was nice and they were fair on how fast they prepared it. I only pass by every now and then after work. I would come back for their burritos by the drive thru.

Their only getting 4 store beeeeccause the cali burritos and carne asada fries are aaammazing. Service is eh

This is seriously the best Mexican food ever. Don’t let the location ruin the quality of the food. They are always so nice when I come and even offer vegetarian options!

We live right down the street from here and come here regularly but will not be returning after last night. We received the wrong order at the drive thru, which isn’t a huge issue since we don’t live far and could drive right back to get the correct one. The problem is that after eating almost half my meal, I found a hair in it and then later that evening my husband and I both got terrible food poisoning! Definitely never going back. Only giving 2 stars because the girls working there are always nice.

Went through drive thru and they gave us someone else’s food which wasn’t the worst part. The worst part was when I opened the wrapper to the burrito there was a large hair in it which is disgusting. Just makes you want to throw up. Ended up throwing it away and Won’t be going back here again.

2 stars because I’m all about customer service. The girls there can be very sassy and rude to you. However, I cannot deny the fact that they have the best carne asada fries, period. At first, they would put BACON BITS in the fries! They don’t do that anymore :(But, every time I get them there’s always the pico de gallo, sour cream, beans, meat, cheese, and other stuff I can’t recall at the moment. But it’s a really awesome size for the price. Just don’t expect people to give you decent customer service

Best Carne Asada in Vista. Great Street tacos and California burritos. Our new Spot!

Customer service: is crap.
Employees stare and are rude. They get an attitude if you get too many salsa’s (the ones in the little plastic cups)
Food: depends on the cook. Most of the time they are good, but not always.
Sometimes tortillas smell like rotten fish.
The men are assholes.
Prices are a little higher. They change them a lot.
Only come here cuz its local!

The only reason I’m giving this joint four stars is because, for some reason, they don’t have sliced jalapenos. Like, you have to ask them to slice jalapenos if you want jalapenos, otherwise, they just give you a styrofoam cup with whole, pickled jalapenos. It’s weird. ANYWAY, that being said, they load up their carna asada chips with over a pound of toppings, I’ve never been able to finish it, and it’s really damn good. Excellent marinade, perfect seasoning. Delicious guacamole, and their salsa is fantastic. And the best part? Open 24 hours a day! Also, they don’t mind substitutions, or changes. I don’t eat tortillas, rice or chips (unless it’s cheat day!) and they are happy to do an awesome carnitas plate with double beans instead of rice.

The Carne asada fries were salty and pricey. Not to mention that they put them in a divider plate, now that is just plain cruel.

If you want killer street tacos then come check out Santana’s when they have the taco cart out side at night. If you don’t see it, don’t try it.
I’ve noticed that the tacos when served outside are super naughty and delicious; but quite different when served inside… Not sure why.
Love the tacos, but I’m all about consistency.

Great authentic mexican food. Definitely recommend it over Albertos or Filibertos. Great service and great food.

Great al pastor tacos for only $ 1 each! Each taco was full of tasty pork, grilled onions and even some grilled pineapple mixed in. I’ve never had pineapples in my tacos before. It was a nice touch!
There was about 5 different salsas to choose from and you could even grab some grilled green onions or grilled peppers to add to your meal.
It’s been a while since I’ve strayed from Alberto’s when it comes to Mexican food in NC San Diego, but this place was a hit in my book. I like Alberto’s because they’re consistent. I hope that this place is just as good on my next visit!
