Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service

I called Roto-​rooter on a Sunday afternoon because our water heater leaked all over our garage. Within 45 minutes, the plumber, Justin, was at our house. He helped us make an informed decision on which water heater we needed. Within 4 hours, he had hooked up the water heater. He was knowledgeable, polite, and very helpful. I will call Roto– Rooter the next time I have a plumbing problem.

We just had one of the absolute worst experiences with a business that we have ever had in our lives. I called Roto-​Rooter because we had a problem with our landscape drainage in our backyard. The plumber came out and set up his equipment to snake our drain beside our pool. He ran into some resistance fairly quickly, but failed to find the problem. After trying to run the snake down every drain and outlet in the place for two hours, he was no further than when he started. I asked him if he had a camera to locate the problem and apparently the regular plumbing guy doesn’t get to bring all the necessary equipment to find and fix a problem. The camera would cost an additional $ 350. At one point the end of his snake broke off. I asked him if he was going to charge us for the time to fix his equipment and his reply was that «your pipes broke my snake! You are lucky that it didn’t break off inside the pipes, that would have been really expensive!» I couldn’t really believe what I just heard. This old rusty piece of equipment could break off at any time and the customer is responsible? After all was said and done my bill was close to $ 500 and he accomplished absolutely nothing. The next day, I called the office to see if we could resolve our problem, and I got the feeling that I was bothering the girl on the phone. But she said she would refer the problem to her supervisor and I would get a call back the next day. A week later, after no call, I decided to call back. The girl on the phone said she had seen my name on the wall. After pressing her a bit for some information, she got frustrated and hung up on me! I called a plumbing company because I needed help RESOLVING an issue. In retrospect, the plumber should have known right away that he needed a camera to find the issue. The nerve to tell me that my pipes broke his equipment and the absolute lack of help from the office is shocking. This is one of the worst customer service experiences that I have ever had. Roto-​Rooter is a joke!

I have had service by the Vista location Roto Rooter several times and I have nothing negative I can say about the experiences. They know what they are doing, they charge reasonably, and they are courteous. Highly recommended.

The owner/​CEO of this franchise is ridiculously unprofessional, rude, offensive, and aggressive. I would never use his organization after seeing how he conducts himself to others. Seems like there are plenty of other negative reviews to back up what I assume about the quality of his business mirroring the quality of his attitude and conduct.

I will use Roto-​Rooter again without question. Enrique was knowledgeable, efficient and professional — everything you want from a plumber coming into your home. I’ll be recommending this company to all my family and friends!

After getting several inspections for other companies, it was great to have Joe come out from roto rooter. The other companies said all the lines needed to be replaced and quoted the job at $ 12, 000 or more. Joe came out and started simple. He put water down the line that we thought was clogged and it cleared it up. I know that water down the line isn’t going to fix most peoples issues, but its the fact that he went through little steps to figure it out. These guys rock. I will be using them again for all my plumbing needs.
