Newland General Construction & Drywall

Newland General Construction and Drywall was recommended by my realtor, If you want good, honest value for your money this is the contractor you should contact. I’m a retired police officer. I demand honesty, integrity and a fair price out of anyone I hire, I need to be able to trust people who in my home. I don’t penny pinch and don’t mind paying a few extra dollars if I get great results. This is exactly what I got from Ryan at Newland. This gentleman performs, extremely professional work and provides excellent consultation on the jobs he performs, at an extremely fair price. He is a family man who is very considerate, dedicated and trustworthy. He works extremely hard, demands the same of his crew and gets the job done in a timely manner. He is presently at the top of my list as a contractor. If you want cheap labor you can pick from any list, if you want someone you can trust, call Ryan at Newland construction.

I needed a lot of work done on my house including a full bathroom remodel, cracked ceilings, patching up walls, etc. Ryan finished all of his work in a timely manner and did a very thorough job! I get a lot of compliments on all the work he has done. I would definitely recommend him again!

Ryan bid for our job and seemed nice enough and confident enough that he could complete the job as requested. He came and was respectful and did the work in one day. We though everything was fine for about 3 weeks (Job completed ¹⁰⁄₆). A few days ago (¹¹⁄₁), my wife and I started noticing cracking in the seams where the mud goes over the tape job. Now, we specified in our bid request «No seams to be visible after paint», to which Mr. Newland submitted his bid, to my mind, that means he accepted the terms of our bid request.
Upon closer review, there are seams everywhere, HUGE GIANT cracks where the ceiling meets the wall. This was not done professionally at all. Not to mention the fact that two emails in one week have not been answered. I will keep updating this review, as for now — stay away.
EDIT: we are in process of working this out with Ryan. He got back to us and we really appreciate that. Will update again.
EDIT: final update. Ryan came
Out and fixed the issues we complaint about. He is very professional and I would recommend him. He also explained why The cracks happened and they were not his fault. If you need a great gc who will handles any issues. Definitely use Ryan.
