I purchased an elivelive certificate for discounted massages. This was one of the places that participated. When I called them, I asked if they could do an appointment after 5PM. Unfortunately, the massage therapist said 5PM was the latest appointment. I snuck out of work for a 2PM appointment. I figured it would be a good break on a Friday afternoon. It was little difficult to find the place off Santa Fe Road because it is up on a hill and the entrance is not obvious. I missed it the first time and had to circle back. The parking lott was completely empty which was a little eerie. The building itself looked like it was still under construction. When I entered the place, there was no one at the reception desk. Apparently it is a very small company so the massage therapist is also the receptionist. As she led me upstairs, I noticed a bunch of racquetball courts. That was really bizarre for a massage place. My therapist, Ari, was friendly and told me that this used to be racquetball courts and the building is under renovation. Still it felt really strange. She led me to a small dark room for the massage. Ari asked me what areas she should focus on. I said middle back and neck. The massage was decent but not as firm as I would like. She didn’t really focus on those areas either. So I am not sure why she asked. Perhaps she forgot or wanted me to speak up. But at the other massage places, I used, they always asked me whether I wanted a more firm or less firm massage. If I go here again, I will definitely make it a point to tell her how I would like the massage.
