I would not say you would be disappointed if you came here but you can find better places if you take a short drive to another side of town.

Decided to give this place a try. Never again. Was greeted by a rude cashier lady. If they want customers, she’s one to make them lose customers fast. The food itself is bland. Nothing special about it. I’ve had better Mexican food at cheaper prices. Super Taco on Riggin is my go to. Save your Money!!! Ps. Know several family members who’ve eaten at Don Taco, to find hair in there food. Eww.

Eat here regularly. Very fair prices for great food and kind people. Chile verde burrito is unbeatable. Clean and newly upgraded seating.

Was craving carne asada tacos. Was recommended Don taco. These tacos were not duscusting but they were far from appealing. The meat was cut in chunks along with the chewy wiggly parts. The tacos barley had any onion or cilantro. The meat was flavorless and pale. The soda machine gave more carbination than syrup. Told the employee the syrup was out and was told it still had plenty so it is a faulty machine. 14 tacos and 232oz drinks = about 30 $ down the drain.

Went here. It was pretty busy cos it’s lunch time. They have a juke box where they play spanish music and a big screen tv with soccer playing. Overall the food cooking from the kitchen smelled good! Our to go order took awhile but it’s understandable cos it was rush hour lunch time! But overall food is delicious! I’m one those people who don’t like beans in my food but in my carne asada fries I just wished they put a bit more I’m so use to San Diego’s where they fill it up! But the carnitas chimichanga was delicious and worth it and the carne asada burrito wasn’t that great! Sour cream and gac tasted weird! But it was okay.

Haiku taco review: Godly asada // Armored in a crunchy shell // Savory package Don Tacos is my favorite taco joint in Visalia! I’m a sucker for the hard-shelled carne asada tacos. Regular tacos here are still amazing, but the fried tortilla shell takes the cake for me. Each order is made fresh and comes with free delicious tortilla chips. They recently underwent a renovation, and the interior came out looking very nice. There’s a small salsa bar next to the register for you to customize your tacos with. The bathrooms are clean(always a good sign).

Always great food. Tacos with queso are great. Great salsa bar. What more do you want? Reasonable price for great food. The quesadilla is by far my favorite

Oh my gosh do I love this place! Definitely my go-to place when I’m really craving carne asada tacos. Their steak quesadilla isn’t bad either. It is just VERY huge, along with their burritos. Trust me I was starving when I was eating the quesadilla and I was not able to finish it. Their chips sometimes can be stale and bland, which leaves me disappointed(because I can never say no to chips) but I love their salsa bar. Excellent salsa choices. The people who work here are very friendly and wonderful people. Yoh know… it’s such a crazy idea to write reviews when you’re starving. Time to go grab me some carne asada tacos!

Do not, I repeat do not come here. Can you tell the difference between the free chips and the $ 4 «nachos» on the right? I cant. But your paying $ 4 for a scoop of manifactuted sour cream and guacamole on top. FYI, I added the salsa and carrots just so I don’t feel ripped off

Excellent hole in the wall Mexican food. I’ve been to the majority of Mexican restaurants in Visalia and I keep coming back to this one. Been here close to 100 times and always satisfied. Al Pastor & Carne asada burritos/tacos are my go to food items.

Pastor to die for. Lengua tacos great. Salsa bar and great meats available all around, even Birria on the weekend. Greasy is good!

Went there just based on the two reviews speaking very well of the place. Don’t base your judgement on this review alone. Since I only had the asada tacos, they may have a lot better items from the menu. I ordered three of the above tacos to go. I was surprised when the gal asked me if I wanted chips. I said sure and she gave me a small brown bag for the chips and three small cups with lids for salsa and the other condiments. Nice touch. Now for the tacos. It was a play in three acts. The first taco had a lot of gristle. The second taco was bland. The third taco was overstuffed but overly greasy. I would have thought the three tacos came from three different places. I will not be going back again. Use your own judgement. I would base all my reviews of Mexican fare in the future first and foremost on asada burritos or tacos. That’s like basing a burger joint on how it does its burgers. One star for the tacos, the other star for the chips.

I love this place. I sometimes eat there 2 or 3 times a week. They know me so well, they sometime hand my order to me as I walk up which can be nice when the place is full during lunch when school is in. Food is great, prices unbeatable, For just a little over $ 6 I get 3 very large taco’s, a 32oz soda and chips and salsa. I leave feeling so full. Matter of fact I think I will go today.

One of my little hidden Gems in Visalias north side. Great authentic taco truck style food, but with less flies. Prices are just right. The asada and carnitas are some of the best in town. Menudo ‘sin el pata’ on the weekends is very good. Tortas are excellent. But my fav and staple here are the tacos… putting away 5 or 6 is typical. Small basic salsa bar to dress up your fare; but tacos are good just the way they come. Parking can sometimes be a beotch, but not unmanageable. Wish Don Taco had another location closer to my hood.
