Nice park for kids, families, and all others in between. Cute little duck pond with occasional visits by Canadian geese. Fish for fun but don’t eat your catch from the pond. Water here is artificially colored with dye; filled with reclaimed water from sewage treatment plant. Don’t worry: doesn’t smell. The nearby stream is fed with canal water so is cleaner. Active softball games on weekends. Lots of shade, picnic tables and a big play area for the kids.

I love taking my 11year fishing here! I wish people would take care of this park and stop throwing there trash in this cute little park!

Overall, this is a decent park. And is one of the better parks in Visalia. Pros: Its large and spacious, so I’ve never felt like people were crowded on top of each other. What can I say, I like my space lol. Also it has lots of trees and shade. Oh and there is a pretty little pond too. The arbors seem to be in good condition and good size. To top it all off, the playground has new equipment. Cons: This park is on the outskirts of town and can attract some«interesting» people. Nothing too crazy. Just I wouldn’t want to be here alone or too late into the evening. I’m not saying its Golden Gate Park or anything but for Visalia it’s a nice park to visit or have a BBQ or something. Check it out for yourself ;-)

This is a really good dog park which provides a small dog area and limited to dogs under 25 pounds. Also there are chairs provided for owners. However, there is no water facility for dogs. Owners have to bring water for your dogs.

My husband and I were taking a road trip with our dog through the central valley and needed places to stop and let her run around. Plaza Park was one of the places I found just searching the internet for places to stop. The dog park is located on the north side of the park next to the highway. This park is amazing. Lots of shade and grass. On the weekday morning we stopped, there were tons of dogs running around and playing with each other. After talking with some of the local people, this dog park is the best in the area and I have to say it’s better than some of the ones I’ve been to in Orange County. There’s a separate area for smaller dogs as well
