Worst dinner i have ever had! Do not go here service was so bad waited 1 hour after reservation was scheduled! Waited another hour for our steaks! Apparently they lost our ticket and so we were stuck waiting for another 30 minutes for food. The food is bland and they need to remodel the place. Who ever wrote a positive review is lying! Paid $ 100 dollars for food that took an hour and half and to put the cherry on top they swapped me and my boyfriends sides. We got out of there as soon as we could!

Just ate here last night. Good place for a date. Was really good. The service was prompt. We didn’t have to wait for a table, and the drinks were always refilled quickly. I ordered the bone in rib eye that was juicy, tender, well seasoned, and it was huge! You know how you order a drink and the bartender or wait staff take forever to get it to your table? Well, that wasn’t the case here. I ordered a gin and tonic and it was at my table in under five min, it was not watered down and was a good size. So good job guys.

As a bar, Double L is the best bar in Visalia!
Among my friends and I it is the beat place for drinks and to meet fun people.
It is reasonable priced!
My friends and I have tried other bars like the Phd and it is completely old, overpriced, and dead!
Double L is where young, good-​looking people hit up every friday night!

If there was a minus 2 they’d deserve it… I was excited to go here haven’t been here in over a year plus one of my clients just closed their escrow in their new house first time at this city eating steak so I wanted a great place and the best of everything! A celebration dinner! We got there waiter give us all menu’s only one special menu said 21 day dry aged boned ribeye sizzling plate $ 43.99 each. I told waiter we all want the boned ribeye special on special menu. When we finished our salads ribeyes are coming out on regular plate (Sizzlers would’ve looked better) they were out of baked potato mashed potato just rice or French fries. I asked the waiter I thought it was boned & sizzling he said no that’s our boned in ribeye I said that’s what we all ordered! He said no you said you want the ribeye special I said I showed you the menu said we want this special he said its $ 45 this special is $ 14 he even came back and showed me the advertisement in the newspaper. I said I didn’t look in the paper to order. My party was hungry so we ate it it was decent nothing special a little dry and tough the waiters here are such asses!!!
I wanted to take clients somewhere special which this place is not. The waiters here don’t care worst service ever! Plus they’ve got attitude! Management are a bunch of dumbass’s waiters are retarded I’ll take going to Sizzler than the place!!! If I owned this place I’d re staff waiters should never argue with you should never have attitude I’d fire them and who ever is hiring these jackasses! I gritted my teeth tipping this guy what an ass Hispanic short haired guy what an ass! Should go back and take orders from McDonalds! Lol Next time Vintage Press or Depot or anywhere else better atmosphere better service better food classier waiters! This place is a joking complete embarrassment! Lum’s you should be ashamed! Should hire better owners! Lol Won’t come back won’t bring people here ever!!!

Don’t let the negative reviews prevent you from
eating here. I used the local paper’s coupon for a $ 14.95 ribeye steak dinner. It came with baked potato & a nice salad with crumbled blue cheese dressing. Garlic bread too. Now for the steak. Not a thick one but very tender and no steak sauce needed as it was cooked over oak. Much better than Sizzler or Tahoe Joe’s & a great price. The regular prices on steaks are on the high side but most likely worth it.

Mediocre food. Very very pricey. My son requested ribs, and since it’s too hot during this scalding heat to fire up the grill — we loaded up the family wagon and headed to the «Double Ll»… The portions ARE huge, but they charge a minimum of $ 5 for a split plate. If each person wants a «side» then they charge $ 8.95 for a split plate. Like I said, the food is mediocre, the service is fair.

Very expensive, and very average.
We thought we would try this place again after quite a few years.
The night we ate there they were very busy and I thought good sign! After receiving our meal, I was very disappointed. I think what brings people here is the atmosphere, they can wear their boots and jeans (which I wear all of the time). and feel like they can get a good meal. Well, you can go to the other really nice restaurants in Visalia and still wear your boots and jeans and get a fabulous meal with fabulous service., and not feel like you’ve been taken.
Even the bar is average. I will give a thumbs up to their wine list though. Nice wines!

I was hoping for a knock your socks off steak since it was a 21 day dry aged bone in ribeye. Anyone who is going to take the time and cost to age beef should have a «wow» product. I had been to a competitor a few days earlier and wanted something special again. Instead what I got was a steak with little flavor. It was tender but the aging process took care of that.
As a positive, it was cooked as I requested.
On a horribly negative gross matter, the restrooms. When I got there I went in to wash my hands. The urinals were dirty and one of the sinks looked like it hadn’t been wiped off in days. I commented to one of the staff about the issue. At the end of my meal I entered the facilities again, and much to my surprise after an hour nothing seemed to be done.
Maybe for a lesser cut off meat the restaurant would be satisfactory, but for what should be a high end cut I suggest you look elsewhere.

The bartender with the goofy hair shaved on the sides STOLE 7 dollars from me by never giving me my change. I asked him for my change after about 5 minutes of paying for our drinks with cash and he claimed that he had already given it to me. I did not make a scene at the time because i was with a date. When i called later and spoke to the manager, he simply did not care.
This is a great place to go if you want to get jacked by the staff.

Ok I haven’t been here in a while but I have always enjoyed this place. So after seeing the recent reviews I was a little scared, then we walked in and the place was empty! We were seated quickly and had great service right off the bat! It was a little eerie how empty the places was. But the food was great! I had the Daves special (which is steak, chicken, and ribs) It was gigantic and I am a big eater but it was too much even for me. The chicken was outstanding and steak was good but the ribs left a lot to be desired! But overall I was pleased along with my wife and the poor loser raiders fans! Since they had to pay from a previously football bet, I think prices were fine lol just kidding but really my plate was only 28.95 not a bad value! Don’t be scared off give it another shot
