If I didn’t love the green burritos so much I probably wouldn’t come here often at all. The staff is just plain rude. A majority of the employees always seem pissed off and/or annoyed. The young man up front was so rude to my mom. She was deciding on her order and he kept asking her what she wanted while he tapped his hand on the counter, obviously rushing her even though there was no one else in line. It was embarrassing for her. This place would be worthy of five stars if the staff would just lighten up and at least pretend to be happy for once.

You absolutely cannot go wrong with BT’s! I highly recommend the taco salad, the tacos, or the taco meat sandwich. The food is superb!

I guess you CAN go wrong with the hamburgers. I decided to try the hamburgers at b and t this time; I asked if the deluxe old fashioned burger came with pickles(since it was not listed). «No», she plainly stated. WHAT?! A hamburger with no pickles?! She proceeded to take my girlfriends order since my choice was thrown off. But then I noticed the smaller, cheaper hamburger DID list pickles in it. So I pointed out to the worker that they did have pickles(I was under the impression that they did not stock pickles, period, since she did not give me an option). «But the deluxe does not», she stated. «So I have to pay extra for pickles»? «Yes». Wow… I was tempted to tell her, «well, since I don’t want onions in it, do you deduct that from the price»? Or, «can you exchange onions for pickles»? But since my girlfriend was with me, didn’t want to embarrass her, I just bit my tongue. I don’t understand their customer policy, if they have one. If they are worried a dill chip would put them in the red, they have problems. Sure, complaining about this is really minor, but it’s the principle. They just lost this paying consumer for putting me in a pickle. Or NO pickle.

This was by far the worst food My family and I have EVER eaten! We ordered the American food because the cashier said it was better than the Mexican food. After one bite of the burgers we decided that we should order Off the Mexican menu so we bought burritos and tacos; but both were terrible! We barely made it out with out ishing ourselves! My non alcoholic dad had to buy a bottle of tequila to take the horrid taste out of his mouth. My mom had acid reflex and feared throwing up in the car. We were lucky my 3 year old was wearing a diaper when the food gave her diarrhea. We feel miserable, I have never written a bad review but I feel it is my responsibility to warn others that might eat there in the future. Please! DONOTEATHERE!

I posted before with one star. After a few more visits I found the food to be better, It’s definitely the Naugles menu. Cheese quesadilla and bean cup remind me of my childhood. Very delicious. I also tried the chili cheese fries and those were pretty good. Their service is decent, but their manners need work. When you are at the drive through they say«order please!» and it’s very abrupt. I bit more welcoming would go a long way! I will go back here again for the food.

A friend of mine from work recommended this spot so I decided to try it out since I obviously have never been here. I ordered the number 1 that comes with 2 cheeseburgers, large fries and drink and was not disappointed in the taste! The drink was on the small side with to much ice. Customer service was excellent and the drive thru was super quick. I wasn’t able to finish my meal because the portion size was huge! Can’t wait to come back and try other items on the menu.

Stopped at BTs today for the first time in years, I had a taco salad and the BF had a BT burger… the taco salad tasted great, in fact it seemed bigger than I remember! He said his burger was great! Took one star off because the staff wasn’t very friendly and it was freezing inside, even some of the workers were wearing heavy jackets. Will definitely be back soon !!

These youngsters that don’t know of Naugles can’t appreciate the deliciousness of BTs. BT’s is a definite copy of Naugles and it’s too bad that there aren’t more locations. This is a definite stop when I travel in the area. Keep up the flavor and fast service!

Based on the reviews I figured id give it a try. turns out it’s not always good to trust reviews! The ground beef used was horrible and mushy. BUT the fries were good.

This place is amazing! I grew up in So Cal and went to Naugles all the time as a kid. Well once I was all grown up we moved to Northern California. Through social media I heard that Naugles was reopening in Fountain Valley. We had a vacation down south planned anyway, so we planned on hitting Naugles up and introducing our kids to it as a part of the trip. Well unfortunately they sold out of food in their intro test kitchen so we were bummed. But then I learned from someone about Buns and Torts and how it’s related. So on our way back we took the 99, and took a small detour out to Visalia and had lunch and Buns and Torts. It was an amazing experience. Everyone loved it. Best bean and cheese burrito I have had in ages, and the Taco Meat burger was to die for. Wish I lived closer I’d be there all the time!

If you grew up on late night Naugles runs, this is the real deal. I started college in Riverside in the ‘80s, and quickly made my first late night drive-thru run at the Naugles on University Ave. Their egg burrito and Taco Salad(the small one with the single tortilla chip as a spoon) were the first time I ever had hot sauce in anything. About 1000 runs later the last Naugles closed with me never having stepped inside a Naugles… it was always the drive-thru. After reading the stories for years I was finally able to get to Visailia to give BT’s a try on a road trip to San Jose. I ordered a BT Burger(Naugleburger), an egg burrito, and fries. The burger was just as remember it, down to the shredded lettuce and relatively-thin buns. The only thing recognizably different was that it came in a styrofoam box rather than the old cardboard enclosure. The red sauce in the egg burrito was as I remember it as well, and the staff was nice enough to make me one after the regular breakfast hours were over! I thought the shoestring fries were certainly going to have changed, but those too were just as how I remembered them. Vey few places serve these traditional kind of fries anymore. Jeff Naugle was there behind the grill and couldn’t have been more gracious, taking the time to come out and talk to us at great length about the history of Naugles and BT’s. My only regrets are that I didn’t get to try the BT versions of the«Taco Cup» or «Macho Combo Burrito», and that it is so far away for me to try everything on the menu. My hats off to Jeff and the rest of the BT family… you are keeping memories alive.

Love the taco salad. Comes in a large crispy flour tortilla shell and they give you plenty. Love their cheese. It is the fine grated cheddar and they give you plenty. My husband loves the beef burritto. The red sauce is really good. They have the good crushed ice. Their customer service is hit and miss, but I can ignore that for the food.

The most accurate thing I can say is: If you liked Naugles back in the day… you’re gonna love it today! Sooooo good!!! Parking is the only downside… because the place is always full.

Cheap. Not bad but not good either. Salsa tasted like a spicy ketchup. Portions were decent, presentation was lacking, not the typical Mexican food that I’m used too. If your on a budget then this place will do and get your stomach quieted. Wouldn’t be my first choice of places to eat though.

At around 10PM my family and I showed up to the drive thru for our first visit ever to BTs. First big impression was the price, under $ 35 for my family of 6! Next, the entire order was correct, everything drinks included! Last, the food was actually tasty and portions were more than I expected! Recommend :)

I used to come to this place years ago and back then they weren’t so bad. But now… I ordered a taco salad and I was lucky to have had any meat in it at all. There was more shredded lettuce than anything(about 90% of it was lettuce) and then the cheese… there was just a glob of it in the middle of the taco salad. Needless to say, I was really disappointed in that. The taste of the food wasn’t bad… but the presentation and the balance of quantity was horrid. Step up your game, BT!!!

Chicken Taco Salad? A+! Customer Service? F! Every time I go, whether it be drive thru or inside, they are always rude. I hate the way the workers complain about customers all the time(I can hear them talking about them as they leave). Hmm, I wonder why…
