Amazing the filet minion was as good as I have ever eaten. This include the steak houses on Rush street in Chicago. Epic. Expresso port and excellent wine selection. Tiramisu was excellent. Pasta was perfect. Black ink pasta was perfect. Opens at 6 full by 7. Locals. Located in strip mall but a excellent choice.

This is my second time in 3 months. Was the food/service still good the second time around, before I bring friends to dinner? Answer, NO !!! Treated like a un-desireable. Hadn’t put my fork down from the appetizer when the main course was put on the table. Half way through my dinner they were rude enough to put the check on the table. «No Class» here. Gringo Tom

Sigh … Such bad service, whatever food. Menu descriptions are not true to what comes out . I see plenty of people love this place, honestly seems like a gamble if you choose to eat here . Obviously understaffed and apathetic.

I’ve been to basilico more then a dozen times and it never disappoints. Folks were in miami. with that said yes good places get full and have waiting lists so reservations are your best option. However basilico is well worth the wait! And once you’ve been sat down you will enjoy their churrasco their fish as well and of course their ravioli is to die for. Wine selection is fair. Their chianti is very nice and portions are generous altogether food and wine. Bottom line with the disappointments I’ve had in Miami dining out one can always count on this prized Gem to come through and the wait staff are always the same faces meaning they’re happy where they are at. Always a good indicator of a pleasant experience(low turnover) Prices are very reasonable and the tiramisu and of course crème bulee. … FLAWLESSEXECUTION ! basilico we love your good quality all around !

The best Italian restaurant I have been to! The spinach shrimp linguine and tiramisu are amazing. Even the leek soup was to die for!

Had been really excited about checking out this place for a rather long time, however left very disappointed in the service. I brought my mom in today for a simple birthday lunch and barely made it to the appetizer. It took us over 10 minutes to be greeted by a waiter. Once I flagged one down, he came and took our wine order. It took another 15 minutes until I had to get up from the table and order our appetizer and entrees at the bar. Me and my mother are very patient people — this wasn’t where we encountered our problem. Our problem came up once a manager came over to check up on us, but his vibe was very aggressive. «What’s the problem over here? A waiter came by twice and you weren’t ready yet, what do you need?!», these were his exact words and his tone and facial expressions seemed very aggravated. That was our motive for cancelling our order and walking out. We went over an Italian restaurant in Miami Springs on Westward Drive and enjoyed a delicious lunch with spectacular service! Unfortunately, we won’t be doing business with Basillico any time soon.

Great little place, great atmosphere and service. Food was good, reasonably priced and have a good wine selection. The only issue may be the parking but if you could find a spot is worth it.

Workers are snooty but food was pretty good. Small menu so don’t expect a wide selection. I realize I do not wear a skirt suit or pearls to dinner because I am a casual girl. I guess my attire left the server unimpressed. Service was none existent and the waiter looked like he couldn’t care less if I choked and died right there at the dinner table. I asked for 1 sauce that was missing and the waiter literally waltzed around for a good 5 minuets before getting what I asked for. By that time my food was gone. However, as bad as the service was I can’t deny the good linguini and good ravioli.

My family and I needed a place to eat since we haven’t eaten in a while for the day. So we found this place and saw good reviews. The servers greeted us kindly. After struggling to decide what to eat, our waiter helped us choose a wide variety — which is great since we always want to try different things. Eating the food reminded me of Italy, so the food felt really authentic. I had the free wine coupon on Unilocal,so I got it for my dad. My overall experience is very good. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to try Italian food!

Dont waste your time and money in a place that servers are rude and arrogant. Went for a second time for the benefit of the doubt and same way. There a lot of other restaurants that have both way better food and service than this place. Owner/Manager should re-think on the current service been provided it can damage a business really fast.

Very good and casual Italian cousins. It’s my preferred place for lunch during the week because it’s close to where I work. The day’s special are always very tasteful and freshly made.

I have been going to Basilico since I was about 10 years old, I am currently 26. To say that I feel at home here is understatement … Rodrigo, Carlos, Luciano, and Chompi are practically my family and have really come a long way with this place. The food is and always has been excellent, the collection of wines extensive, and the service is always exceptional. I have spent a lot of time here and continue to now as an adult. I highly recommend this place. This is my little hidden gem that I recommend to everyone. If you haven’t been here, I suggest you make it a point to get over here!!!

Food was mediocre, not worth the price. Especially since the actual prices of the food are an average of 5 dollars more than what’s listed on the website. I placed the order for my food to be picked up, & when I arrived to get it, I saw it on the counter but I had to wait 15 minutes for the waiter to get around to me. He was answering phones & coming in and out from the kitchen instead of just letting me take my stuff and go. The steak I ordered medium was pretty much well done by the time I was able to sit down & eat it(I live a less than 3 min commute away) plus it was a churrasco instead of a regular steak and nearly inedibly salty. At least the 4 cheese gnocchi was fine.

This gem is in a small strip mall away from any major neighborhoods but it is well worth finding. It is a cozy little restaurant that has a great ambiance and outstanding food. The servers are professional, friendly and extremely knowledgable. While they only serve beer and wine, their wine list is sizable. I had the crab ravioli and it was outstanding! I highly recommend this place.

I am in town for business and stopped by for dinner based on Unilocal reviews. I ate at the bar. Was a nice, small, un stripmall like restaurant. Carpaccio was good but not amazing. Gorgonzola ravioli with pear and fig was very good. It had too much sauce, which I just scraped off, but flavor was very nice with pungent cheese and sweet but not too sweet pear and fig. Service was good. It was great for a solo dinner very close to hotel. Neighborhood safe. Plus for solo dinner. I would go again if in the neighborhood.

Was on a business trip to Miami and was staying at a hotel near the airport so I decided to try this place out. The place was almost empty when I got there. Was disappointed in the by the glass wine selection. They only had three types of white wine if you only want one glass. Ordered a glass of wine and a steak with saffron risotto. Turns out I don’t like saffron. The steak was okay although I have made better ones on my grill. The rosemary sauce on it was excellent though. The biggest complaint I have, however, is the service. The servers were borderline rude and it took half an hour to get my check after they took away my plate. Disappointing.

Il mio preferito! Well, I must say this cozy and elegant ristorante made a real good impression on me. I had a caramelized filet mignon(medium-rare) with a delicious risotto which had been suggested by the waiter. The meat was truly amazing, the texture was near perfect and I was able to savor every flavor in it. The risotto appeared to be mixed in a cheese that added more taste to the dish. I also ordered a glass of cabernet sauvignon to go with my dinner and couldn’t have been any better. My first time here and would love to come back. Great place for a romantic dinner!

Another place I never would have found without Unilocal!Went on a weeknight with my girlfriend from NYC who was staying in the area. When we first arrived(without a reservation) there were only a few people seated, but it was not long before the place was packed. The house Pinot Grigio was tasty. The service was friendly but very slow and somewhat neglectful. Even when the restaurant was not crowded, it took forever for the server to take our order and it took a long time to get our entrees. My friend and I both got Caesar Salads — pretty underwhelming. The saving grace was the entrees when they finally arrived. Linguine a la Vongole for my friend which came with tons of whole clams and had an awesome flavor. I had the fish special of the day, a Hake in a fish flavored cream sauce with mashed potatoes. The fish was prepared perfectly and was smooth as butter. For two salads, two entrees, & two glasses of wine, the bill came to about $ 70 with tax & tip. They should improve the service and I would make a special trip from Fort Lauderdale, but I would definitely return if in the area.
