I remember eating here as a kid so I was really excited to try it again while on vacation. My favorite dish was the chicken parmesan, I always bragged that they had the best I’ve ever had. I was extremely disappointed. The chicken was good but the sauce was so bland. It just tasted like regular tomato sauce. My wife got a steak which was good. We also got chocolate cake for dessert which was delicious. The service was good as well. It just wasn’t wow enough for a 4 or 5 stars

Seating was wide open when we went in the evening on a weekend! We were seated immediately and our order was taken. Kids were amused with blue play dough(that I suspect based on smell was really blue pizza dough). We ordered salads, pizza and a kids pizza! Food was good. Salad was delicious(goat cheese is a plus)! The server seemed to have gotten lost after our food was dropped off. Which was rather sad as the whole experience was good up until your parched with not a drop in sight. My daughter made her pizza and although she only ate a slice after all her hard work she did like it. I think allowing the kids to make their own pizza is fantastic. It passes the time sitting with a child as well as the possibilities of her eating it because she made it are much higher! The larger pizza was good as well. If I went back I would skip the pizza and get the salad again. It was the smaller side salad but it was enough and ohh so tasty!

Never again. I am very disappointed with my dining experience at your Lynnhaven restaurant. I went there with my wife and daughter for my daughters 34th birthday. My wife ordered two dishes, the Tortellini and Ziti with sausage. My daughter ordered the Farmers Market Pizza and I ordered the Numero Pizza. First, there was no Mozzarella cheese on both pizzas. Mine had no Mozzarella cheese at all and my daughters Farmers Market Pizza had very little Mozzarella cheese on it. Mozzarella cheese is the prime ingredient in any pizza. Why was there no Mozzarella cheese in your pizza? Especially in a deep dish pizza. Any deep dish pizza I ever had was loaded with Mozzarella cheese. But yours had no Mozzarella cheese at all. This is very disappointing. Secondly, everything was very salty. My Numero Pizza was particularly over salty. It was just horrible. I am a big salt user but this dish was way to salty even for me. The pepperoni and sausage were just to salty for this dish. I think you need to change the pepperoni and sausage to a low sodium product. My wife and daughter also complained that their dishes were very salty. I think you need to find some products that are low sodium if you’re going to combine mutable items together that contain salt and put them in a single dish. Third, Your deep dish pizza is very shallow. I had deep dish pizza where they are filled to the top. The crust was high but the rest of the toppings were lacking, making your deep dish pizza very shallow. Maybe it’s because you don’t put any Mozzarella cheese in it. I don’t think I will be returning to your restaurant after this horrible experience. You need to improve your pizzas and cut back on the salt in your products. ********************************************************* This is a follow up I just learned this afternoon that my wife got sick from your food. This is unacceptable. I will be notifying the Virginia health inspector to investigate your restaurant for contaminated food and other health code violations. You need to close the restaurant and throw out all the food before you get someone sick. Shame on you.

One of my favorite restaurants to dine with kids, staff is so accommodating, the kids have a diy pizza that they love and also diy sundae for dessert. I love the deep dish pizza, it’s a family fav for Sunday night

Service was good and the food was fine. They got one order wrong but quickly corrected it. I’m not a huge fan of deep dish but this pizza was pretty good. Very friendly atmosphere. I don’t care for the self order or checkout tablet. Takes away from face to face interaction with your waiter.

We haven’t been to a Uno in a long time and so we thought we would try it again and the food was still pretty good. The Caesar salad was served chilled and was good. We ordered the Chicago Classic deep pizza that had to be sent back because it was undercooked. They remade the pizza which was much better. Service was excellent and both the server and manager were apologetic for the undercooked pizza.

There are kiosks on the tables of booths. With these kiosks, you can view the menu AND pay your tab. I ordered the mozzarella sticks during Happy Hour. Five dollars and l got about eight huge sticks. Good stuff. Service was super attentive, as she really didn’t need to be. The kiosks have their jobs covered. Servers have now been relegated to [food] runners. Kinda cray. I like this Uno’s. Just wish you could enter from the inside of Lynnhaven mall, as it is virtually connected.

I can’t even begin to express the amazing experience we had this afternoon. This restaurant had an amazing kid friendly family atmosphere(but not overly childish still very good for adults as well). Our appetizers came out before the meals and we’re still hot. The waitress politely asked whether or not I wanted my salad before or with my meal. Not only did they stop by to ask the adults how their food was but the kids as well. Even what looked like the manager came by to verify we we re having a great experience. I am overall thoroughly impressed by the amazing service, delicious food and relaxing atmosphere. For the employees who read this pat yourselves on the back great job. For the family or group of friends looking for a great place to eat I can honestly and whole heartedly recommend this place for your next food adventure

I went to Uno Pizzeria with my wife for lunch this past weekend and while the service was lacking, the food was certainly not. Upon being seated at the table, we were informed that our waiter was very busy and that our drink orders would be taken by the hostess. What they should have told us was that the server was overloaded with tables and to expect long waits as well as empty glasses. I am not a waiter and I have never been one, but I counted 8 tables that our waiter was covering by himself. To me, that is a lot to handle. To his credit, the waiter was working his ass off and he was doing everything that he could to keep his tables happy. Although our drink glasses stayed empty what seemed like the entire meal, the soup bar and the personal deep dish pizzas made up for it. I started with the soup bar and my wife ordered a half salad(which was more like a whole salad). The soup selection was pretty good and the soups themselves tasted great. My wife ordered a pepperoni with cheese pizza and I ordered the pesto pizza. Both were super tasty and piping hot. Yes, the service was slow, but the pizza was damn good. Will be returning someday.

As far as chain restaurants go, this is probably one of my favorites. Consistently good no matter which location you go to. This location is my favorite because it’s close to my house and attached to the mall and movie theater. They also offer online ordering and delivery! How could you not love that? The happy hour specials are great too.

Love the bartenders and The fact that you can purchase your movie tickets there for a Discounted price. Great place to grab a little snack before or after a movie. The pizza is very good but way over priced. Happy hr with their discounted prices are where it’s at.

Me and my wife dropped in for Lunch today, this was my first time eating here. I ordered off the«2 for $ 12» menu, I ordered a new item that has been added called Tortelloni, along with a personal size Deep Dish Pizza, and my wife ordered one of the half-pound burgers. The food came out in nice time, and all of the food was incredibly good!(Picture is deceiving because it makes the burger look small far away, but that is a nice half-pound burger) Again, I had to sneak a couple bites of my wife’s burger«for the purpose of tasting for an accurate Unilocal review» of course. Thanks Unilocal for that cover story so I could sneak a bite. :-) Our Server Mark Anthony was great and right on time with the refills. Very friendly waitstaff, and a nice atmosphere. Menu is thick and thorough! Many great options to choose from. Background music was loud enough to hear(a plus) and not so loud you can’t think(another plus!). Mix of modern hits, some 90’s music in there, and some blues in there which was cool. –Only thing I was apprehensive about was the computer on each table when you arrive. «Order here» it says. I was initially worried about that as I like talkin’ to real folks when I eat out, so was glad to discover that the device was just«optional for those in a hurry, or who choose to use», so that is great. Whether it be a date night, or taking out a group of folks or family, I would say Uno’s is a great place to come in for a great meal at a nice price. I will definitely be returning, and highly recommend!

We decided to come here for something small before dinner and the boyfriends dad gave us a $ 10 gift card so we figured, hey why not? Got in around 3:20pm. Right when we we walked in, two people greeted us in unison :) got seated and was waited on Ashley. She was very nice! We got two bowls of chili and it was magnificent! They loaded on the cheese! And I love cheese! Ooey gooey stringy cheese everytime I went to take a bite with beans and meat and onions. Oh my I was in chili heaven! I’m definitely going again!

I am a fan of this chain. The food is consistent and the service is good. This location lives up to that reputation. Today I didn’t have pizza, instead I had the Firecracker chicken sandwich. It had good flavor and a nice spice. The only downside was that the side of steamed broccoli was served on the plate vice in a small bowl which allowed the bottom if the bread to get soggy. Luckily the ciabatta roll was good enough to withstand some moisture. My friend had salmon and it was over cooked. The good news was that the seasoning on the salmon was good. We both had soup. I had the French onion which was above average and he had the clam chowder which was thick and creamy. This restaurant is in a good location and the staff is friendly. It is worth a return trip.

I gave Uno three stars because I felt like our meal was just okay. Our waitress was nice enough. When we first sat down and gave her our drink order, we told her we needed a minute to decide. After we decided, we couldn’t find her. We ordered the shrimp and crab dip to start. It came with toasted and buttered slices of bread. The dip had no discernible crab and just a few tiny shrimp. It costs $ 10.99 while the spinach artichoke dip was only $ 4.99. I would probably get that next time. I opted for the Classic Chicago deep dish, which in hindsight was not a good choice for me. The classic is deep dish crust, then cheese, then meat and chunky sauce on top. I don’t like to eat all of my cheese and there’s no way to remove it on this pizza. It was tasty nonetheless. The sausages were slightly spicy. I probably should have gotten the flatbread or artisan crust.

I am a Chicago native that grew up on Uno’s pizza. My father worked in the downtown area and brought Uno’s home often. There is no other pizza in the world I treasure more than the original location opened in 1943 on Ohio Street & Wabash Avenue. Although the original location still stands, they have expanded to over 140 Pizzerias in 24 states as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Honduras, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Although I love the convenience of being able to get my childhood favorite pizza most anywhere I go, to my dismay it is not the same recipe I grew up loving. WAIT A MINUTE… SOMETHINGSDIFFERENT Admittedly I have not been a fan of the new franchise locations. Any Chicagoan can tell you that none of the other Uno’s taste the same as the original. My first encounter outside of Chicago did not go well. Have you ever picked up a glass of water thinking it was a Sprite? If you know the taste of something, it can be hard to swallow something different than you were expecting. Uno’s Pizzerias has indeed changed the recipe of the original Uno’s. Two things that make Uno’s original pizza so unique are the crust and the sausage, which is still to this day locally made by a mom & pops shop in Chicago especially for Uno’s. I’ve been told they can’t produce enough for the entire country, so alternative sources had to be found as the business grew. Also, the cornbread like crust on the original has been modified I suppose to conform more to traditional pizza expectations around the country. THEFOOD Fast forward 25 years — I find myself coming to terms with the fact I can only get my true first love of deep dish pizza back on Ohio Street. The growth of the company has altered the pizza I know and love, so I’m faced with accepting the change and moving on. My wife ordered a thin crust gluten free veggie pizza while I stayed true to my Chicago roots and ordered the deep dish sausage with pepperoni. We both enjoyed our meals very much, although my wife had to send hers back so they could make the crust just a tad bit crunchier with a few more seconds in the oven. The Shrimp & Crab Dip was excellent and the Strawberry Walnut Salad that came with my meal was so amazing I didn’t want to share it with my wife. Normally if my meal comes with a salad she takes it, but this was so good I just cold not part with it. The kids had cheese pizza and Chicken Alfredo pasta. We all really enjoyed our meal. Service was excellent also. Our waiter was friendly, fast and efficient. He even gave the kids iPads to play video games until the meal arrived. FINALTHOUGHTS Well, I hated it at first, but now I’ve come to appreciate the modified versions of the original Uno’s Pizzeria. After all, it’s still really good pizza, just not the same pizza I grew up loving as a child.
