Starbucks

The experience wasn’t bad save for the fact that one of the baristas found it necessary to sing the whole time. That’s all good and well but I’m there trying to read and it’s distracting. I like going to read at coffee shops because the nonobtrusive background noise is usually pleasant. Even when she wasn’t singing she was still speaking at a jet engine decibel level. I feel bad because she seems friendly enough but it was too much. When you’re in public you shouldn’t be so loud that everybody can hear you and stop what they’re doing to wait for a lull in your loudness.

Here for my Starbucks Refresher Ginger Ale yumo delish! If you have not tried these drinks you should! They also have it in Orange Cream which is simply delightful!

I love this Starbucks location. It is the closest to my house and the staff is very upbeat and friendly. I have taken most of my coffee chats there. The only thing I don’t like is that parking is a bit of challenge! :)

I use to go to this Starbucks all the time before and after high school classes.
The cashier was nice and friendly. He was able to write my order down correctly.
The barista made my order just as it was written down. Service is a lot better than I remember.

This location is a little inconvenient as far as being lodged in the far corner of a shopping center parking lot with one entry/​exit that is comprised mostly of Walmart traffic. They do not have a drive-​thru so walk in you must.
However, I have yet to visit there when they didn’t get my drink right. I like Starbucks but a couple of locations near my home forget additional items I request regularly and I have to send the drink back to have them added.
Most of the employees are happy and friendly. They are speedy, yet efficient. It’s worth walking in to get your frappé!

I am not a Starbucks devotee or loyalist but I do like this particular location. It’s not the easiest to get into since it sits back in a corner of a busy shopping center. As for menu, it’s the same as any other location but it never seems too crowded and the employees are typically friendly.
My middle school son and I have started a tradition this year where we stop in here every Tuesday for some dad/​son time before I drop him off at school just down the road. So, perhaps it’s not Starbucks, the location, or the employees I look forward to but the time with him. Regardless, this is my location of choice and I like it. Check it out.

Took 20 minutes to get a hot chocolate and they said id have to deal without a lid because they were out. Couldn’t take my drink to go without a lid so I had to sit and finish it. The employees except the barista were not doing their jobs and instead yelling loudly to each other about how management doesn’t do their jobs. Not returning.

Again, pretentious high priced coffee but, this branch is a cut above the rest.
Earlier comments talk of employee churn however, there are a couple of the baristas that are extremely friendly and professional that have been there for several years. They don’t get all uppity or condescending if you don’t exhibit a masters degree in Starbucks favored snobbery language when ordering a cup of coffee.
The site is sometimes challenging getting in and out due to the poor traffic through flow from the Wally world and Chick-​Fil-​A returning to the Lynnhaven feeder. THe drive is often packed and the starbucks lot, shared with another business, is not that large as well as compacted by those pretentious snobbery drinkers that need a refresher course on courteous parking.
The café has been recently remodeled. In the afternoons the tables are full with this popular site.
In the end the coffee products are the same as any other Starbucks. What makes this a 4 star (5 if the a little less expensive) is the people. I have yet to run into a bad barista at this branch unlike all the others in Hampton Roads. So on the occasion when I do opt for a SBs, this Café is my preference hands down.

Definitely the BEST Starbucks in the entire tri-​cities! I will drive past others just to come here. Not only is the coffee always amazing but the staff is the best I have ever seen! They are great at making specialty drinks not necessarily on the menu and always seem to aim to please the customers. The staff both day and night are always friendly and fast! They definitely like to get to know their regular customers and even make sure to greet new-​comers too. My drink is always perfect and even tastes like someone made it with effort. I have never had a bad experience and always find myself perked up after any visit (not just from the caffeine!). The parking can be difficult at times due to this location being in a busy Walmart shopping center, but there are adequate amount of spaces in the actual parking lot. There is only one handicapped space which can make things tough, but it is never so busy that you can’t find a way in. They always are fully stocked in both the food and beverage ares and will assist quickly if something isn’t up to standards. The store manager seems to be doing a wonderful job! The entire inside is always really clean and neatly arranged to maximize on seating. They also have a very nice patio area right outside the front doors that is well kept. I would say the only complaint is the trash an out front seems to always be overflowing and can sometimes attract bugs. By far though, worth the extra drive! This location does not have a drive-​thru, so be prepared to get out and go inside! But I promise you will not regret your visit!!!

This is my favorite Starbucks location on this side of the 757. I’m not quite sure what sets it above the rest, but I’m positive they make the drinks better here. (Maybe it’s all the love they use…)
Seriously, my drinks have been better. I like that they know you by name. It has the feel of a small town café with the professionalism of a corporate chain. Wowza!
There is no drive thru at this location. I wish there was, but whatevs! If you don’t come here, blaze on over and meet these guys! They’re great!

Great great staff! I sat inside for a couple of hours and just watched customer after customer come in and these girls know most of their names and ask them about their lives and things that are going on, is nice to see such a «homey» environment! Ok thanks was freezing in the back corner but it is summer so I’m sure they keep the air cold for when it starts to get hot later:) I got the iced chia, and I will be back :)

Friendly and speedy staff. Inside, this *$ is just like others with coolers of drinks and pastries ready to go, plus baristas prepared to get you that dose of caffeine. In the afternoon, the Verona Blend aka Blonde is pour over only but it’s still good. It just takes longer.
Great tables outside, all marked with a clear «no smoking» sign. Easy to sit with your laptop in the sun and soak up some bandwidth.

Patio so you can bring your dog out with you. They even keep a water bowl full! NIce employees and a comfy atmosphere as usual.

I have been coming to this Starbucks for 10 years now. I have obviously received good service here because I continue to come back. I have seen the staff change more than I care too but hopefully these barista’s have moved on to bigger and better things. They have a great selection of products in the store, a nice selection of baked goods, your typical selection of hot and cold drinks that are always done just right (I get the best pumpkin spice latte’s here). They also over free Wi-​Fi so I have found myself hanging out here doing school work as my house was a little to load with the kids running around and the wife giving me my honey-​do list. They also accept payment via the Starbucks phone app.

Always friendly staff. They finally paved the side of the building for a proper seating area. This is a good place to sit and study or read.
Parking: Good, enough spots here.
Location: Right near Walmart, good if it is during the day during the week. I would not go here in the evening, on the weekend or during the holidays simply due to the proximity to Walmart. It is tough to get out of the shopping center during those times.
Seating: Small location, 6 or 7 tables I think.
Noise level: Loud when crowded.
Food quality: No surprises, all pre prepared and the drinks are always made right or you will get a free one…
Value: Okay, Drinks are usual overpriced and food is high!
Staff: Very nice at this location.
Usual SBUX.

Found on the busiest streets in the area. Right on the corner, but not really super busy! Like with so many of the other starbucks around the corner, they have the usual for both coffee and non coffee drinkers. I’ve noticed they started offering mini pies. The apple is the best =)

This is one of my favorite Starbucks in Virginia Beach. It’s in a funny little location so it’s never really busy.
