I live right around the corner from this place so I can go to it pretty much whenever. I had SO much fun shooting some pool, the problem was a waitress was supposed to come to our table but didn’t. We got some pretzels that weren’t that great. The deemed as if they were microwaved but I asked and the lady said they fried them hmnnn… also the cheese fries were very good though

This place was my stomping grounds back in the day during my college years. I love that they have many new promotions to get people coming here.
I liked that back in the day not a lot of people came out here. The place hasn’t changed much but they offer a lot of good promotions to take advantage of. For ladies night it’s free Friday’s and Saturday after 6pm, and for military, government officials play free all day in Tuesday’s. I like that if you order food and if u spend up to a certain amount you basically get to play one hour of pool free.
It’s not for people who are anal about the cigarette smoke because at this establishment there is a smoking an nonsmoking area. It still has the same smell that they used to have years ago but certainly has improved since I last came here back in 2005. Since people are not smoking as much or have turned to e-​cigarettes the pool hall smell isn’t as bad. People are still allowed to smoke here so I wouldn’t recommend it for u to bring your young kids to be receiving second hand smoke. But hey. Some people don’t mind.
They do have Sunday for family days if u have kids. Ages 6 – 15 year olds are free.
I saw one child at the pool hall today. That was rare back when I used to go. I don’t ever recall seeing people bringing their kids. But the business is trying to cater to every age group now. Even for high school students they have discounts.
I hope one day they make a smoking room for people and maybe do some newer renovations to the place, like add a filtration systems that will lighten the smell of the smoke in the air.
It’s still good to know this place is still alive and that they are advertising promotions on groupon to get people to their establishments.
Our waitress was Stephanie and she was nice and sweet. I had to order my loaded fries that I used to always get with my favorite side car drink. It’s still the same typical bar food that I loved to eat while having a few drinks. They did miss my sour cream for my fries but they gave me some later on the side.
I had a good time well spent and great for those who want to go on dates or have some competition with some friends.
Just keep in mind that it is an older pool hall, nothing fancy and just expect to leave the pool hall smelling a bit like cigarettes.

This is really not a bad place to shoot pool. I do not like that they have a smoking section that makes the whole place smell like an ashtray. They also have a small dress code such as no white tee shirts. That was really in the way because that’s all my boyfriend wear in the summer time. The food is always good but takes forever to come out. They always seem to be short staff. Besides all that’ they have unlimited games of pool that I love to play.

Me and my homies always come here to play some pool. Honestly, I’d rather pay to play pool here than cashing out for coins at a bar. I believe it’s about $ 15/​hr to get a table but I split it with a group of 4 so it wasn’t that much. One hour of game time was good enough for us anyways. The food is pretty much basic bar food but anything with beer is good. The service was good, our server frequently checked up on us. This place is very spacious and filled with pool tables. I always wondered what a busy day is like here. I also liked how there is a smoking and nonsmoking section despite the fact that you still can smell the smoke. Definitely recommend this place if your trying to play!

If you want to play serious pool, this is the place. Always action to be found and the equipment is excellent. The diamond tables play great and the food isn’t too shabby either. I would stay away from the ranch dressing. It seems that a place either has good ranch or it doesn’t. There is no in between. They have several smoking and non smoking rooms.
If pool is your game, this is your place.

One of the best pool halls I’ve been to in my life. I refrained from giving them 5 stars cause the waitresses/​waiters there are either very attentive or very inattentive. One of the guys at the register for checkout was playing on his phone for 15 seconds before accepting my payment. However; the other guy I had was very nice. Overall, amazing place.

No smoking? Yeah right. This is a joke. You can smell smoke from before you walk in the door. This a smoking, smoking, smoking, smoking friendly bar. For those willing to take their chances in the «non-​smoking» area, you’re still running the risk of contracting lung cancer. I travel here from the DC area quite often in search of a good place to shoot pool. Time and time again, I stop by to see if Q Masters has come into the new age of «no smoking» only to hear «not.» I’m a huge fan of Barry and what he’s done for American pool and the U.S. Open, but I’m hard pressed to be a patron of his establishment if he continues to allow smoking on the premises. SMH — aka Shaking My Head. Come on Man!!!

This place was great for Billiards. Meaning, the pool tables, balls, and pool sticks seemed well kept. They have two table sizes. I went on a Saturday and It wasn’t overly crowded. However the music was really low and didn’t have much variety. My waitress was polite, but didn’t check on us as often as I would have liked her to.

This is my favorite place to play pool. I’ll make the drive to play here just because it’s affordable and they offer free days for military and kids

Pretty cool pool hall. They have plenty of tables but there was still a wait for a table in the non smoking section – about 20 minutes yesterday. Even though it is a non smoking section, you can still smell cigarette smoke leaking from the smoking section, so I didn’t stay that long.
BUT
It is a pretty decent establishment. Food is good and servers constantly came around checking on us, asking if we wanted refills and clearing away the garbage. They seem like they run different deals on different days so its worth checking out. Pretty easy going crowd, there was no drama when I was there. They have a security guard that walks around so that’s a plus. Nothing else really to mention here except its a pretty nice place to pass some time by.

The pool tables and balls and sticks were in good condition but that is the only positive thing about this place. It’s overall really dingy and I felt dirty just being in there. All 3 of my parties drinks from the bar had to be sent back and the bartender didn’t seem enthused to fix them. Our server however was very friendly and apologetic.
There is no difference between smoking and non smoking rooms as you walk in the building and your greeted by a huge cloud of heavy smoke that carries through every room.
We ordered at least 5 different menu items and all of them were over fried or fried in oil that was very old because they were all extremely dark and had a weird smell. That smell of old oil also carried from the kitchen through the entire building.
There was a random old little dog roaming in the smoking room without a leash or its owner that did not look friendly at all.
I wouldn’t hang out here again. Two stars only because there are a lot of tables, they are the only thing in that building that is in good condition, and it was Tuesday’s and military play pool for free.

I would have given 3 stars but the service wasn’t good. We ended up being charged more than the price per hour we were quoted upon arival. Only $ 2 difference but the staff were argumentative and condescending about it. Tables and equipment are in decent shape. Server served us cheese fries that were mostly cheese with no forks and never asked if we needed anything else such as a refill on drinks or catchup, as most of the bottles of catchup on tables were empty. She made sure to get us checked out really quickly though so that she could take off for the evening and tip out.
It’s a pool hall so I don’t expect the best service but at least pretend to care about your customers a little.

This is a pretty good pool hall. The tables are in very good condition, so are the balls & sticks. The only downside is the smoking section sometimes stinks up the NON smoking section.
They have tournaments and leagues here also. Wimpy’s VIP room is where it goes down.
The sweet tea is off the chain. I haven’t drank here yet but I have heard the drink prices are pretty good.
Everything is fried here and you will leave the hall smelling like fried foods & stale cigarettes. Every single time. Trust me.
If you see the little dog laying in front of the Juke box or roaming the hall DONT TOUCH HIM! He WILL bite the shit out of you. It’s the owner’s dog.

As far as pool halls go this has been my least favorite. Very big inside but no customers except for me and my friend made it strange. No draft beer which bothered me the most. The only thing I liked about it was that the employees were friendly.

I really like this place. Really chill, no drama. The pickles were great and the burgers are cooked perfectly. Tables are really clean and nice. Lots and lots of tables! The only reason for not being a perfect 5 stars, crap music! We have been listening to oldies like 50s and 60s music over an hour now. Not sure how much more I can take.
Otherwise it’s a pretty cool place.

I wish there were a «no star» option. First of all, the service was completely awful. I don’t know if you could even call it «service.» Our waitress showed up twice in the hour we were there and not once did I ever get a refill so I had to eat the awful «cheese fries» with no drink. I really wouldn’t call them cheese fries though. It was basically nacho cheese with a side of 5 soggy French fries. On top of that, the tables were just close enough to each other to be a nuisance while trying to play a game. We waited around for 20 minutes to pay a check that we had already paid for when we paid for our game. Just a really annoying, irritating experience. This was my first and last visit to this place.

My main concern when coming here is, am I going to get lung cancer in the non smoking section. Seriously the place stinks of smoke .
The pool tables are nice and well taken care of. There is a good choice of drinks that are well priced, and the staff are nice and friendly.
Judging by the characters at the bar this is not a place I would hang out at regularly. Incidentally to use the restroom, you have to walk by said characters in the smoking section to get to the toilet. This happens to be behind the bar for some reason.
Personally I would not come back, but if you like playing pool this is the place to come.

Check out daily chefs specials. Just had the house salad (clean fresh) meaty pasta with linguini. Not enough sauce! BUT IT JUST ME… I like to dip bread at the end!
Tables are well kept! Just saw a sign that said that They will have tables reCovered soon!

I love Q masters! Been here multiple times when I was a military dependent. The staff can take a while to make their rounds but as a single female, I don’t think I was priority compared to large groups. Their food is fantastic and the atmosphere is very laid back. Gotta love the separate smoking section too. Really hard to believe that there are bad reviews and it seems «shady.» I don’t think it’s any different from a dive bar… except more pool tables.

Hung out here for a couple of hours with my brother, drinking sweet tea (they were out of O’Douls) and shooting pool. In the middle of the afternoon, even on a weekend, it was quiet and we were undisturbed with no one at the tables next to us.
The table was clean and there were no issues with play. 16 balls, all perfect. Cue sticks, good. Bridge, good. Pockets, all working. Bathroom, clean enough. I literally have nothing to complain about.
There are at least two separate rooms — one is smoking and one is non-​smoking. They’re not perfectly air tight but it was good enough for me.
Good harmless fun times and not expensive at all.

We had stopping in here last night with a group of 5 and used a Groupon before it expired. The deal was for 2 hours of pool and a percentage off of food.
We selected a long table and got started. Our server, a young lady named Dani, immediately came over and introduced herself and took our drink orders. As always the tables here are the best in the area. They’re well maintained with fast action.
For our food selection we opted for wings. They’re boneless which makes it easy to eat and play pool at the same time. That way you don’t have to worry about getting your hands sticky and having to watch them. We choose the Hot sauce and the BBQ Honey sauce and they were both decent. Our server took good care of us, stopping by regularly and keeping the drinks full. We ended up staying for about 3 hours and then called it a night.
As always Barry runs a top notch business and it shows. There’s no substitute for pool in the area. If you’re serious about billiards, this is the place to play your game.

I am not an avid pool player and honestly a majority of the times I have come to Q-​Masters it was to visit friends that were drinking or working at the bar. The staff has always been friendly. Some of the newer waitresses can get sidetracked easily and take a little longer than usual but just keep on them and you’ll be taken care of.
I have eaten dinner here with my daughter before and I have no complaints about the food. I’ve always had a decent table whenever I have played pool. And their house cues aren’t too shabby either. The owner Barry is personable, along with most of the staff too.
If you want a fun night out since the Hampton Roads area is lacking in decent nightlife, Q-​Masters can be fun.
Just be careful when walking to your car alone because there have been some instances of violence in the parking lot.
