Great tasting, flavorful philly cheese steak. Good prices. Orders 10 inch I believe with onions, green peppers, lettuce, tomato and mayo and white America cheese. $ 2.50 more for fries and drink Would have given 5 stars but meat was a little loose and wet. Could be the mayo and or the veggies I added. So next time I will try just meat and cheese and compare. Friendly staff, place looked clean and wait time was minimal. Will update about looseness of meat at next visit.

Hands down the best hoagies and sandwiches in Virginia Beach! The cheese fries are on point too! I have loved this place for the last 10 years and it will continue to be one of my favorite places to eat! I recommend it to everyone I know too. Definitely worth a try if you haven’t already.

Good prices for great food! The location is easy to get to and finding parking was no problem. The staff is friendly and the dining area was clean and didn’t feel cramped. The food is delicious and my wait from ordering to getting my meal was reasonable. If you’re craving a Philly classic, this is the place!

I have been in Virginia Beach for a little over 20 years now and I finally made it here for lunch. I wish I had been here 20 years ago! I have been looking for a good cheese steak place and this is it! I have tried many and always leave disappointed. They have enough meat and cheese to fill the roll many places cut back to save money I would rather pay more and get a good meal. I have seen the reviews, but was nervous after No Forks they had great reviews also and it was not worth eating. I will return soon Iggles was my go to spot but I think I now have a new one.

I came to PCC today for the first time. I recently made a trip to Philly and tried the best cheesesteaks ever… I needed a fix. The cheesesteak with grilled onions and wiz is the original philly way… and that’s just how I got it. I almost needed to change my panties… that good.

Was just in Philly last weekend any ate at both Pat’s and Geno’s and I must say this was better. Similar to Geno’s but the«wiz» was not as salty as Geno’s and PCC’s had more meat. Not intimidating to order like it is in PA and the staff was very friendly!

I’m from Philly and anyone from Philly knows the struggle of finding our«home away from home», the Philly Cheesesteak. I been to a lot of places in Va claiming to have a Philly and although I still have a lot of places left to try, this place has nudged it’s way into my top 5 Philly cheesesteak places in Va. The bread, the chopped steak, the cheese, the green peppers and mushrooms(sorry, no onions for me), the slightly greasy bag… Good job. Inside and out it even has the appearance of a Philly spot.

Chose this place for a quick on the go eats, solely based on Unilocal reviews. Was not impressed… at all. Nothing special about their Philly’s.

I’ve been getting cheesesteaks from Tidewater Steaks and Subs for years, but it’s a pain to drive all the way out there whenever I get in the mood for a cheesesteak. When Iggles opened I was estatic, but the quality there seems to have dropped a bit from what I remember from tidewater. Constant gristle in the meat just ruins it for me. A pal suggested Philadelphia cold cuts and I am glad he did. Their steaks are good, filling and their italian hoagies are amazing. Reminds me of being back in Philly. The staff is always relaxed and kind as well. Love this place, not a huge fan of the pastrami though.

Honestly, the recommendations on Unilocal is what hooked me to try this place out. I got the small Philly cheesesteak $ 8.91 with tax and coming in just under a foot. The first thing I said to the cashier was, «I heard you have the best Philly cheesesteak in Virginia beach»…without hesitation she smiled and simply said«yes». Little did I know at the time, That was only the beginning of my journey… I took the first bite and immediately noticed a change in my body. My senses suddenly became sharper, and everyone around me began to slow down. It was after the second bite that I realized they weren’t slowing, it was I who was moving faster. I glanced in the mirror and realized that I was glowing! It didn’t stop there… the third bite I realized that not only did this magical sandwich sharpen my senses but I was suddenly able to tap into other parts of my brain. I’m pretty sure I developed the equation for time travel. That’s when I looked over and saw Jesus riding atop a majestic unicorn, he looked at me and simply said, «My son, you have chosen wisely»…I smiled and reluctantly finished the last bite 42.7 seconds after I started… what was that? …Never mind, I thought I heard angels singing there for a second. I suppose it’s just the effects of the sandwich wearing off… sooooo, ok you’ve made it to the end of my review… this is awkward… alright, well to sum it up. The philly was awesome and I definitely recommend to anyone passing through this part of the world!!! You will not be disappointed! Thank you sandwich! I miss you already!

I’ve been on a cheesesteak quest lately. They come in spurts. I don’t fight my desires. Needless to say… I was very happy with my cheesesteak. Very very VERY happy. In fact, as I write this review… guess where I’m probably going to lunch? People who worked there were nice and friendly.

This is the reason Unilocal exists! We would have never tried this place had I not found it and read the previous reviews. No frills here, just great cheesesteaks! The rolls were soft, and the portion of meat and cheese was great. Love the natural cut fries!

Despite being busy at lunch the Service has been much better the past two times I have been here. Tasty sandwiches. Good tasting sides. Good cheesesteaks, but not my local favorite place to get these. The ful a burger is suppose to be the bomb, need to try.

5 stars for atmosphere: It reminds me of a favorite sub shop I go to in Jersey. They even had snapple & Mystic in their cooler section. 5 stars for service: The owners & staff are very hospitable and friendly. You are greeted as soon as you walk in. 4 stars for food: The first time I went, I had the chicken cheese philly which was amazing. We also had the cheese fries which were also really good. The second time we went, my husband and I got the Philly steak and for some reason, the steak tasted and smelled funky. Neither of us finished our subs and they ended up in the trash. It may have just been an off night. Overall, we would definitely go back and I’d recommend to others.

I’d say that it was the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had in Virginia Beach, but I think that it’s the only cheesesteak I’ve had in Virginia Beach. And it was a really good one. Made to order even when it’s busy, expect to wait a few minutes for your name to be called or your order to be brought to your table. While you’re waiting, munch away on some Utz salt and vinegar chips. Mmmm… cheese and meat(and some mushrooms) grilled onto a soft bun. It was excellent. As good as you’re going to get from someplace *other* than Pat’s King of Steaks in Philly. Sure, they have other stuff including«chicken Philly» and burgers and other sliced meats, but if you’re here, you need to have the cheesesteak and get your meat craving satisfied. Coolers full of canned and bottled sodas.

Love the name of this little joint tucked away off the corner of Great Neck and Virginia Beach Blvd. I must admit that I have driven by this eatery hundreds of times. Regrettably I have never pulled the trigger on trying it. On occasion I have seen employees with tiny signs walking along Great Neck to generate business. I always thought this seemed bizzare and have mistaken them for panhandlers. Not trying earlier was a huge error that had to be rectified. This is one of those gems at the beach that not enough people know about, but should. I checked out Philadelphia Cold Cuts last month for a late lunch based on some sweet reviews on Unilocal, thanks Rick and Ed. So after going to my favorite wine store around the corner(you know the place) I knew this would be PCC Day. Upon pulling up directly in front of the store there was no issues with parking. The place is a throw back to another era, so don’t expect anything fancy about the exterior façade. The lot and sidewalk was clean. I entered and found two customers enjoying a meal. A large counter is directly in front, tables in the middle and booths on the exterior walls. The small sandwich shop had cool painted murals on the walls. One side has a old city scene and the other is sports themed. The floors are checkerboard tile. The vibe seems just perfect and fits the quaint bistro so well. You can even find a Ms. Pacman in the dining room. If you see high score JDH don’t be surprised. I am a fan without having even tried a bit of their food. The menu is more diverse than I expected with some burgers, hot dogs and even spaghetti. So you can find more than just a cheesesteak for multiple visits. The large menu board across the front of the counter at ceiling height makes it easy to decide what to try. But for me it had to be the cheesesteak and fries on a first visit. The woman behind the counter understanding it was my first time went through some menu choices. After hearing about some options I put in my order. The price was fantastic for the combo of sandwich, fries and drink I sat myself at a table and within 10 minutes a very HOT sandwich and fries arrived at my table. The steam permeating from the top of the basket filled the air in front of me with the wonderful sweet aroma of steak, cheese and grease… oh yea it’s on baby! The first bite exceeded my expectations. The bread was so fresh and pulled it all together. Add the fries which were crispy, golden brown and seasoned just right and you have an exceptional meal. This was indeed a place that I needed to give some word of mouth, because my perception is they do little advertising. I concluded with a quick stop to the facilities and found them down a short corridor beside the kitchen. The walls seemed freshly painted, everything worked and it was spotless. For that matter everything in the restaurant was clean. Just don’t expect things to look new, but everything is extremely well maintained. I fully expect a return visit soon, but probably not before Ted S. has already claimed his Dukedom here. Don’t tell anyone, but poor Ted S. has a cheesesteak addiction. Next visit I will definitely make room and include there famous cheesecake. If your wanting to try a new place and desire to stay away from a chain keeping it local hit them up, you will not regret the choice.
