Great concept with the ice coffee. coffee ice cubes? can’t believe I hadn’t seen that before! Also the staff was super friendly. Bagels and Greek salad was great.

The quiche was delicious. There was a great selection of hot teas, as I don’t drink coffee. I was a little disappointed when they microwaved the quiche, but, whatcha gonna do. It was quaint and delicious.

Every time I come into Virginia Beach I always make a point to stop in at Perked Up. Their Quiche is possible one of the best Quiches I’ve ever had. They have a wide selection is coffees and the staff is always super friendly. I’ve also had their cookies and muffins too, all quite yummy. It’s always hard to find unique mom & pop local businesses, especially coffee shops and this one is particularly worth it.

What a treat to find this local small business. We were greeted by the owner Andy who invited us to help ourselves to coffee. It was really nice to find a coffee house that puts coffee first. I forgot the name of the dark roast they were serving, but it had a nice bold flavor but a fruity finish. Nicely balanced coffee perfectly brewed. We also had breakfast sandwiches that were well priced and huge. Honestly next time we’ll probably split one!

I love this place but when you serve coffee you must must must have a bathroom. The homemade Muffins are tasty. The eggs sandwiches are pretty good too. The bathroom situation could get critical

As far as coffee shops go… this one is AMAZING! Their coffee is always great(I usually stick to the Iced Coffee) and as you’ll see by other reviews on here… they used iced coffee cubes so your coffee doesn’t get watered down(AHEM…starbucks…filling your cup with ice and then adding a little coffee is NOT great coffee). The people that work here are always friendly. They can get busy sometimes(which they should because they are great) so if people complain about long wait times or lines, understand WHY they have to wait… it’s because other people also think this place is great and sometimes you have to wait your turn. I too have to complain about something at this place… and that’s that they run out of their delicious homemade granola bars sometimes and I wish they never did! I can’t speak to everything on the menu here… but I’ve been here over a dozen times now and I’ve never had something I didn’t like. If you do, and you approach them in a respectful manner, I’m sure they will do everything in their power to correct your order. Support this local place and you won’t be disappointed!

Delicious coffee and quiche! They could do a little better on taking your order: the menu doesn’t show everything so I had to amend my order and no one’s coffee size was remembered. Love that they do coffee ice cubes!

I was looking for a local coffee place instead of the same old Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts. I Unilocaled and found perked up coffee. It’s a pretty small place but the cappuccino was very good. Taste so much better than the chain coffee companies. The blueberry muffin was huge and you can tell was homemade with big blueberries in it. The only problem was that it was pretty dense and had cinnamon on top. The cupcakes are mini cupcakes bite-size. They were just OK. I would definitely go back for their coffee.

STAYAWAY. 2 days after posting, an employee(or the owner) messaged me complaining about my review and cursing. Because of that I changed my rating from 3 stars to 1 and would recommend people go to Starbucks one block south. Original review: VERDICT: A good coffee shop if you’re by yourself or with 2 – 3 friends and looking for a coffee to go or a short visit, as it is small and THEREISNOBATHROOM. PROs: I stopped by around 5:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning and when I saw it opened at 6:30 a.m., turned to leave. As I did, the owner opened-up, said he could make my latte and would let me park in the parking lot for 30 minutes while I walked to the beach for the sunrise. Although he was the new owner(not a barista), he made a good latte and I bought some sappy card while I waited. CONs: NOBATHROOM. Small floor space, could be crowded with only 6 – 8 people. Décor is a bit feminine

A very nice coffee food establishment. I had a vanilla latte and cheddar quiche. Our first visit here. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Clean and beautifully decorated. Plenty of parking and close to shopping.

1st time visiting, found it on Unilocal,I ordered a iced coffee and what a surprise that the ice was frozen coffee! The best so far at least at the end of my coffee it wasn’t watered down. I wish more places did that. Friendly staff. I’ll be back for sure

Their coffee is pretty good and it’s a cute, cozy place near my work. Tried their mango smoothie today… thought I was going to get a cavity just from drinking the thing. Wouldn’t recommend the smoothies, WAYYYY too sweet.

Although with ice everywhere and it was dangerous, Justin and I adventured to this closeby coffee shop that is known for their quiche. The space is small with no bathrooms and probably 6 tables, but its cozy and charming. There were a few outlets that I noticed so one can still work on their laptop here. The quiche was awesome! I didn’t like the spinach and sundried tomato one but the bacon and cheddar one was amazing. I got a sugarfree iced white mocha latte. Yummmmm! It is a little less sweet than a regular one, so it was perfect for me. Justin invented a smores like latte with marshmallow and chocolate syrups. It was also amazing. The staff was really friendly and all the decorations on the wall were cool. They look like they had some good unique desserts too such as a king cake cupcake and I saw on their facebook page they were doing heart shaped bagels for valentines day. I like this creative, amazing-quality coffee, quiche shop!

Well, I finally got to try this place after driving by it a hundred times. I love the small cozy feel. My daughter loved the décor. The service was great. They were very friendly. We ordered a few things to try. Peach/Strawberry smoothie, bacon/egg/cheese quiche, orange/pineapple/coconut muffin, bagel with cream cheese, and bacon/egg/cheese bagel. I also ordered a mocha coffee. All the food was very good. The muffin was a little undercooked in the middle. So, the cashier noticed and refunded me for the muffin. My daughter was not a big fan of the smoothie, but loved her food. The only thing I did not like was my coffee. I will have to go back and try just a fresh roast next time. Also, beware. there is not a bathroom!

This is the place that I can be a fan even though I will not be able to come back and again and again. This place truly make the best muffin I ever tasted — especially the blueberry! This place convinced me to eat a muffin even though I’m not a crazy craver of muffin but with their blueberry — I will and will have more of different muffin flavors. Another one I tried was the pecan bar —this one is truly made in heaven because they are so delicious. I can’t forget it and will miss it that I can say I’m virtually a fan of your pastry.

In the land of chains and no-so-great places around the boardwalk at Virginia Beach, this place really is a gem. We stumbled here one Wednesday morning after craving breakfast and some local flare. This is definitely where the locals at Virginia Beach go to get away from the vacationers! Although their breakfast sandwiches were pretty typical, what really stood out to me was their iced coffee. It was great, AND they know what they’re doing by giving you iced cubes made out of frozen coffee! Genius move to make sure your coffee doesn’t get diluted. They had a number of really great looking cookies and muffins that I will be grabbing the next time we are in town…

Great coffee, but the winner here is the blueberry muffin. The only way you’re going to get more blueberries into you is to buy a punnet of them at Harris Teeter! Tasty, yummy and still warm from the oven. Small shop, not a whole lot of room. But there are some tables outside if you’re wanting a view of the parking lot on a nice day. Skip the *$, come here!

Cute little coffee shop just a few blocks from the beach. We stopped in one morning for lattes and a muffin. My iced latte was great, but the hot one lacked umph and left its drinker a little disappointed. Blueberry muffin was tasty with a hint of citrus; would be better eaten in as its crumbliness made it difficult to eat as we walked. Two large lattes + 1 muffin = $ 12. Other food seemed pricey — $ 5+ for a slice of quiche. Ambiance is cute and the service was fine, but certainly not overly friendly.

This your average run of the mill local coffee shop. There’s seating for 10 people across 5 small tables. They serve coffee and espresso drinks. For food they have quiche, chobani yogurt, and a few sandwiches. There’s no public restroom or wifi. Things severely lacking for a coffee shop. If they had amazing beverage I could maybe overlook those. Damnit, the coffee was average.
