I came here because hubby suggested that I come here for an eye exam and contacts/glasses. Even though I used my insurance, I ordered a years supply of contact lenses. It cost me $ 500.00. Only to find out that there was a mix up on my prescription. Another years supply cost me over $ 1,000.00. I have to have a specialized contact made for my left eye, that’s why my cost is so high. Hubby was happy with his service, okay with the kid. But my experience, he was very upset.

This location is clean and modern with tons of frames to choose from and some luxury brands like Tiffany and Co, Gucci, Versace, etc. The shopping center where this Pearle Vision is located has plenty of parking and a bunch of other shopping, a Michael’s, Chick-Fil-a, Panera, etc. I had a very pleasant experience here — even though they didn’t have what I wanted and I ended up leaving empty-handed. It’s amazing how one person can make such a different with a good attitude and willingness to be helpful that it overshadows all the rest. I came to the Hilltop location looking for a specific Tiffany and Co. frame I saw at the Lynnhaven Pearle Vision but they didn’t take my VSP insurance as a franchise. This location — as a corporate one — does so in I came looking for the same ones. They didn’t have them but they did have another pair of glasses I absolutely fell in love with more than the others in the first place. Laura H. was the gal helping me. She was really friendly and spent a lot of time working with me to review my insurance coverage, pricing for the frames I liked with lenses, etc. We spent well over an hour going over all of this I’m sure but I asked about the frames I was purchasing and I found out that PV doesn’t keep a big stock of the luxury frames they sell — so they were going to sell me the actual ones on the floor — the display ones — by shipping the off to VSP to add lenses to. So for the price of about $ 500 just for the frames, I wasn’t particularly happy with that. I want them to be brand new and never used. Laura tried to call and check corporate to see if she could order some but she couldn’t — she called another two nearby locations that weren’t even PV to see if I could buy them but no one else had them either. PV is pretty proprietary about their luxury frames apparently — they want to make sure people who want them have to buy them from there. I decided to wait and see if I could find them online and order them — I can bring the in to PV and they can add lenses. Laura was nice about the whole thing — not acting at all like she cared about the time we spent or anything — only that she wanted to make sure I got the frames I wanted. She said she understood I wanted new ones for all that money but they would try to make me happy if I chose to buy them from there. She was very nice and I do LOVE those frames. I have found them online and tried to order them so we’ll see how it works out — if not I can try to see if PV still has them and order them and hope for the best… But the customer service I received in here was absolutely excellent.

All of the staff are great. Laura is the best. I’ve had great experiences purchasing contacts and glasses at this location. I’ve been a regular for years. I was just in today to have my glasses frame tightened quick and easy. I walked in and was taken care of immediately by a friendly lady. Laura has always been a great asset when it comes to helping me pick out just the right frame. I got amazing frames a few years ago, and when I went to purchase new glasses last year I had difficulty finding anything to live up to my expectations. The staff were patient, not pushy. I think it took me three visits before I settled on a purchase, and laura helped make sure they were the right shape/style/fit for my face.
