This place is amazing. Broiled flounder, crab and shrimp platter… Perfect. Great flavor. I added some Texas hot sauce and it was so good! Also got the crab dip… O. m. G! Can’t even begin. It’s incredible. Tried the boiled shrimp… Also yummy! Love the Old Bay seasoning. And the CHEESECAKE! Dana was so sweet and such a good waitress. She was quick, attentive and very friendly. I will most certainly be back!

I would pass on this one. I had the way overpriced Stuffed Flounder. It was tasteless. A nice sauce would have helped. For $ 27 dollars I never thought I’d get canned green beans. I will say the Hush puppies were good along with the view.

Just okay. Beautiful spot on the beach to eat dinner. I probably would have enjoyed it more if we had better service. The food was okay but took a really long time. Our server was by far the slowest I’ve ever encountered from any dining experience. I had a bowl of soup and ordered a crap dip appetizer, and my daughter had grilled cheese. Yet somehow this turned into two hours, and they were not busy. I finally had to go inside and ask someone to pay my bill, and it still took another fifteen minutes.

Located on the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier pointing outward into the sea between 14th and 15th street, it’s the ideal spot for a meal or drink by the Virginian edge of the ocean. Wait staff was excellent, though I only ordered a Banana Daiquiri. I had already eaten, but based on the appetizers that accompanied my friends’ chicken wraps and their reactions to the food overall, this place is doing diner food right. There’s definitely a casual vibe here, and it’s the kind of establishment that caters to tourists by the busload, so don’t expect anything fancy. You eat, you sit, soak up the sun and the view, and you move on. I’d go again especially because it’s convenient.

We ate outside on a beautiful evening back in September and I was one of our most fun nights in VA beach. The ambiance was on par and the drinks were strong and the food was fantastic. We both had a plate of oysters and tried a many of their specialty mixed drinks. We enjoyed everything about that night.

Can’t show you a picture. We ended up not eating. We ordered the Fried Calamari Rings and Fried Clams. Turns out the calamari wasn’t just rings but also those nasty mini-octipus YUCK. And false advertising. They were out of clams strips too. Don’t bother!!!

I went to three different restaurants on virginia beach so far. Ocean Eddie is definitely one of the best. We sat outside, so we could have nice view of the beach. The staff is very nice. We ordered the seafood chowder, cheese burger, –and the islander. The chowder is creamy and tasty. My husband is not a seafood lover, but he loves the soup. It has scallop, shrimp, clam, and crab, etc. the islander was a big surprise for me. I did not expect the portion to be as big as a large pizza. It came with the clam, crab legs, jumbo shrimp, mussels, oysters, potato salad, and cole slaw. Everything was fresh and juicy. I was too full to move after the lunch. 100% recommend. Especially the price is not as high as other ones that I have tried.

Four of us went for the first time and all were pleased. Nice selection of sea food and other things. Good drinks. Laid back atmosphere. On the water. Would go again. Get the hot crab dip! And don’t pass on the Key Lime Pie on a stick covered in dark chocolate:)

I had the talapia wrap and green beans which was recommended by our cheery waitress. The wrap was much better than expected but a side salad was not a side option which is why I chose the green beans. My wife’s lunch was the the crab legs which were sweet, moist, flavorful and large. A real treat after walking in the sun.

Pros: Atmosphere, friendly service Cons: Food is expensive and subpar(mostly frozen) This restaurant is on the water. Solid beachfront atmosphere. I was disappointed in the quality of the food. The calamari had the appearance and quality consistent with frozen pre-packaged food. The scallops, shrimp, and crab pieces had similar qualities. I am confident a person could make a majority of the meal we had by shopping in the frozen food section in their local Wal-Mart/Target. The total cost of a meal for two, with an appetizer and drinks was approximately $ 80, a substantial cost for the quality received.
Love this place! Its nice to enjoy good food and being so close to the beach. Service here is always so great. If you haven’t been here yet ask for Michelle or Jason, they are awesome ! Thanks again guys for the great service!

Came here on the last weekend which was during the big Neptune Festival. Waited for about 40 minutes for a table outside, which was fine due to everything around us. It was like a street fair. Seating was awesome. I abs love their chowder. Ordered the fried shrimp, which was pretty good. Coleslaw was my favorite. Service was also good. Only thing that got me though, was that the only way you could get the crab legs was the dish and not as a side, but overall I’d def be back when I visit!

I was really disappointed with this place; after reading the many reviews I thought this place would be good. I don’t know if I just happen to be unlucky and hit it on a bad night or what?! The service was horrible; at one point I would have liked to just leave but decided to stick it out. The quality versus value is not there. The food was just marginal at best. I was really looking forward to a great meal but it just didn’t happen here. I must also add the restrooms were filthy, garbage everywhere — could use some attention for sure. All in all for what I paid for dinner, I will not be returning to this place any time soon — find somewhere else to eat!

I went to Ocean Eddie’s on a short family vacation recently and enjoyed the experience. Ocean Eddies is located on a pier(I am sure no other reviews have thought to mention that) off the beach and has a large porch with outdoor seating. My family was looking for seafood and preferably a seafood buffet, but after reading the Unilocal reviews of the seafood buffets in the area we decided to cut our loses and come to Ocean Eddie’s. There was nine of us, we didn’t have a reservation, and we were pretty set on sitting outside so I was a little worried if getting a table here would be realistic in the middle of dinner rush. My mother said that the most attractive and charming of her five sons should be the one to talk to the hostess to try and get the table(or at least this is how I remember it). So this is how my conversation with the hostess went: Me: Hi, we have nine people and we were really hoping to sit outside, is that possible? Hostess: oh, hi, yeah are you the group of nine that called ahead. Me(smirking): We are if that helps us get a table faster. Hostess: Ok great, we have been saving a table for you. Come right this way. Me(awestruck); uhhhh hmm well(processing moral dilemma)…OK! While this did dampen the meal slightly as I kept picturing a group of nine burly biker men coming in and yelling ‘who stole our table’ this worked out perfectly. The hostess led us out to a table that was already set for nine around the corner of the porch. This table was fairly secluded, which worked out well since we had quite a few kids(and adults) with us who do not always have the best manners. I believe at one time we were all chanting ‘eat the squid’ at my niece when she refused to eat a piece of calamari. The majority of our table ordered either the seafood boat or the islander. The seafood boat was a baked seafood medley and got good reviews from the table. I had the islander which is huge and makes the seafood boat look like it should be on the kids menu. It comes with shrimp, mussels, oysters, clams, crab legs, and two sides. The shrimp and crab were both delicious. I was not a big fan of the oysters, clams, or mussels. This could be because I am not a big enough seafood enthusiast, but they were all served dry and I thought were lacking in flavor. Overall I thought the food was probably about three stars, but the experience of eating out on the pier and the good service we got bumps this up to a four. Judging from the other Unilocal reviews this definitely seems like the best seafood place right around this area.
