Parked in the adjoined parking garage next door to the Hilton. Been to this park several times for ceremonies and pictures next to Neptune. Parking seemed to cost me $ 6 for less than 3 hours. There are numerous benches around the area to just hang out and sight see the people. The Neptune statue is huge and very cool to see. In the beach there is a small jungle gym where my kids played for about an hour or so. It is right next to Catch 31 and other restaurants are a close walk from this location. I would recommend to park, get a picture, hang out at the beach, and then get some lunch nearby.

Love it. Neptune is the«Statue of Liberty» of VA Beach. It is tradition to walk to the monument. We love it. To fully appreciate the craftsmanship, you need to walk all the way around the statue.

Nothing beats the KING! This is a beautiful area around 24th Street which also hosts a stage where live music can be heard all year long. Google Beach Street Virginia Beach for details. Taking a picture of the King and with the King is a must on your tourist list! Every Labor Day the beach hosts a fantastic American Music Festival where you can listen to popular bands of new and old up and down the boardwalk. Neptune Festival is the 3rd week of September — don’t miss the sandcastle displays! it’s worth every penny! See you at the 5K :)

The center of the action in VA Beach. Tourist trap supreme. Great fun for all(park a few blocks away and walk.) Public restrooms are creepy and disgusting.

The statue of Neptune is really cool, but the music was subpar the night I was there. As a whole the beach and boardwalk are amazing, but Neptune’s Park has little to boast beyond the statue. Would I recommend this? If you’re in the area, yes

How did I never notice this listing before? I LOVE this part of the beach. Catch 31 is right there. They have their cool rocking chairs out and fire pits when it’s cold. Right now they have horses you can rent which is neat. I think it’s cool just to look at them and hear them. Such a nice area any time of year. I always start my walk here and am just in love with it. I got a really bad blister that has been slow to heal, but I still like to go down here and just sit on a bench and just smell and watch the ocean. It is so peaceful and my definite happy place. Just a terrific place to go.

King Neptune is by far the most awesome sculpture at any beach resort. It’s absolutely perfect and no trip to the area is complete without stopping by this spot. As far as parks go, there are better out there, but it all depends on your interest. For example, Neptune’s park is not a good spot to relax. It’s just too busy and on most nights it’s where the party starts. Again, a great site, but, do us all a favor and don’t upload your photo of the statue. Everyone else already did. Just keep it as your phone wallpaper and move on.

This is a great symbol of VAB! Every time I have visitors, I bring them here. Every time I come here, it’s sunny somehow. What a great spot close to many nice bars and restaurants:)) Vaja con Dios!

Absolutely amazing place to hang out! It’s a perfect combination: Nearby public restrooms Fairly easy parking If you’re lucky enough to be staying on the North End of the concrete walk, it’s close. A landmark photo op spot with Neptune A park for kids that while not big is on the beach so that wins their interest right there A band shell with concerts and other activities happening all summer/fall long We were lucky enough that Neptune’s Park was only two blocks from our hotel and we brought the kids down to play at the park a few times plus saw a good bit of the FREE concert from Trombone Shorty one night. Overall the residents/tourists in VA Beach have an amazing spot here that is well conceived and should be treasured as people who frequent beaches in DE or NJ will tell you that there is nothing even close to compare with NP.

This is the centerpiece monument of the waterfront. Neptune is a great sculpture that looks like sand and shows home coming out of the ocean. It is a great point to give people when you need a location to meet up.

Like the Fountains in Kansas City, or the LOVE sign in Philadelphia, Neptune Park is one of the landmark places in Virginia Beach that is a must-visit. Many events happen at this location in Virginia Beach as well. From concerts on the outdoor stage, to many 5K running races that start here on Saturday mornings, there are often events going on here. Also, arrive early at daybreak and watch the sun rise over the beach in the morning for a great photo-op as well. (While on the subject, let me mention the Susan B Komen Race for the Cure 5K is run here every October in the 2nd week of the month… Literally thousands of runners, all dressed in pink, running to support a great charity. —Whether it be daybreak and you are having a solitary relaxing moment as the sun rises, or if you are at a concert or other event being held here, The statue of Neptune and Neptunes Park is a must see for folks visiting Virginia Beach.

King Neptune is king of the sea with a massive statue along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. The 34 foot tall statue has his back to the Ocean and overlooks Neptune’s Park, a popular bandshell with concerts through the warmer months of the year.

Neptue’s Park is the heart and soul of the Virginia Beach Ocean Front. Located beside the Hilton and off the boardwalk it is both a tourist and a locals attraction. I would consider it both safe and clean and feel it is a crowning jewel for the city. Parking is across the street in a parking garage and street parking if you can find it is metered. I would recommend the parking garage as our family has never had an issue and no worries on feeding the meter. There are also restrooms located off of Pacific. They are usually in great shape and applaud they city for their efforts. Our family is at this beach quite often. I would consider Neptune’s Park to be broken down into three main parts. But as you will read I threw in kind of a forth. 1. First you have the amphitheater just off Pacific which cranks out great music that is free. A nice grass lawn for throwing out a blanket and bringing a cooler of your favorite beverage on a nice evening is pretty darn awesome. Kick off your shoes and be ready to shake some booty. 2. Second you have the King Neptune Statue that people hang out around and take pics. If you have never seen this monstrosity it’s HUGE!!! Great photo op place, don’t miss the opportunity to pluck some random stranger off the boardwalk to take your pic so the whole family is included. 3. Third is the playground beach which is very small and designed for children 10&U. It’s enough to keep the kids busy, especially the younger ages. Bring a bucket and shovel and the kids will have a ball for a long time. It is debatable I suppose if the Hilton’s outdoor bar Catch 31 is part of the park. It is right off the boardwalk and a short distance from King Neptune and beside the amphitheater. It is an awesome place to hang and people watch, The fire pits are exclusive real estate. I find it the best place to relax with a drink and listen to music with friends, or family. If there is negative it is the fact that such big crowds mob the park it can be uncomfortable at times. The bigger the crowds the less parking, the more difficult it is to move around. This is not all of the time, but most Summer and event weekends this tends to be the case. So a 1 star deduction for me. My family will continue to enjoy Neptune Park for years to come. Whether your a tourist, or local I urge those reading this review to check this vibrant part of the beach out, it’s pretty awesome!

Neptune Park is part of the long stretch of Virginia Beach waterfront. Summer concerts venue set on 31st beach entrance is awesome, outdoor entertainment at it’s best. Good times, music, food trucks, people just having a blast! Aside from concerts: Cannot miss the statue, it is pretty cool. Phenomenal beaches. Stand aside, Miami and San Diego. This is place to get your beach hours spend on. Beautifully built paved boardwalk and separate bike route, meticulous landscaping, fine sand, clean, plenty of amenities and restaurants. Good(!) food. Beach is long, and even on holiday weekend was not overcrowded. Water is shallow, and waves on windy day are fun! There is 3 hour metered parking on the streets — which is pretty good value if you come early and only want to put your toes in sand for couple of hours. ~blasts Van Halen from the Jeep«.Well, I’m a bum in the sun and I’m having fun.”~ Man, this is good place to be!

Coming from the Midwest, I sort of geek out anytime I can get close to the water. And lucky for me, I found myself on Virginia Beach in the off season. The weather was perfect, there weren’t nearly as many people as I assume the summer months see, and the boardwalk stretched for miles. What I liked most was the promise of much to see and do along the way, including Neptune’s Park. At 31st St., is the King himself. The King Neptune Statue was built in 2005 in celebration of the annual Neptune Festival. Trident in hand and surrounded by dolphins, fish and turtles, the 34 foot statue of Neptune majestically rules the Boardwalk. Down the street from Neptune you can see the Old Coast Guard Station, a Virginia Historic Landmark and on the National Register of Historic places. In 1915, the United States Lifesaving Service became the United States Coast Guard. The station at Seatack(built in 1903 to replace an earlier structure built in 1878) is now this museum. It remained an active US Life saving station until January 1969. Subsequently, the station was moved about two hundred yards from the original location to be preserved and to serve as a memorial to «those who served». The area’s lifesaving history along the coast line of the Graveyard of the Atlantic is commemorated here. It has artifacts from the shipwreck of the Dictator, displays of period lifesaving equipment, educational programs. One block down on 25th St., is the Naval Aviation Monument, which honors the military presence in Hampton Roads. The bronze statues depict WWII soldiers and modern day aviators, among others. Located right next to the Naval Aviation Monument is the Norwegian Lady. After a tragic shipwreck of the Norwegian sailing vessel Dictator in 1891, the sunken ship’s figurehead washed ashore. It was placed on the Boardwalk where it stood for 60 years, but was later replaced with this statue to memorialize the lost lives. The Norwegian Lady’s twin stands in Moss, Norway — Virginia Beach’s sister city. The Lady’s face each other across the ocean. The Virginia Legends Walk is nearby and honors famous Virginians(either natives or by residence). It features historical figures like Pocahontas, Edgar Allan Poe and George Washington. It was all free to enjoy and very informative. Loved my trip to Virginia Beach!

Got a chance to walk the entire Virginia Beach boardwalk not long ago. The weather was nice, the beach was lovely, & the view is quite scenic. There are hotels & restaurants across from the sandy beach. Visitors can enjoy live music and various events on the weekends. There’s an amazing memorial for the Virginia Beach Police Dept & a HUGE sculpture of Neptune along the boardwalk. Be sure to visit the Virginia Beach boardwalk if you’re ever in the area.
