I love this place! It’s like plant heaven! They have everything from flowers, to shrubs, to herbs, to garden decorations. Each year Spring/Summer we visit just to browse or to find hard to locate items that we know McDonald will probably have. I think they can be a bit pricey, but they sell quality items. You can almost be sure if you buy from them you’re getting healthy plants and flowers. I believe they even have some kind of return policy. The property is very well kept and the staff is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

This place is phenomenal. The selection is unparalleled, the layout is gorgeous. It’s more like a botanical garden than a nursery. It’s separated into logical areas, making things easy to find. Some of their plants are really unique — a beautiful and deadly(to bugs) carnivorous pitcher plant, anyone? All of your supplies are here, and the nursery goes on and on. The staff is friendly and seems very passionate. The only downfall is they do have to pay the rent for this extraordinary place… which means prices are higher than what you might normally expect. But you get what you pay for, and this is definitely worth the money.

I’m in love with this garden center. They have a massive selection with exotic plants. They also have ghost pepper plants which my husband was very excited about. This place just puts me in a good mood. By far the best garden center I’ve ever been to and I’ve lived all over the states. Also have some awesome sales got a $ 80 pot for $ 20. Hopefully their bonsai trees will go on sale at some point. You must visit this garden center no way you could be disappointed.

McDonald is one of the best places to get top notch everything to enhance your lawn and garden! The staff here takes especially good care of their stock. Some of the most beautiful hanging baskets I’ve ever seen have come from here or one of their satellite locations(also fabulous!). You can always count on quality product and quality service, which is great for a black thumb like myself(seriously, I’ve killed two cactus)! They can be a tad on the pricy side, but they’ve got plenty of sales and coupons to help offset costs. They’ve also got a rewards program. This place is worth it.

Wow, I normally go to the pop up McDonald’s garden centers found in random parking lots but this place is HUGE! There you are riding down Independence and you can see the sign and a little bit of the parking lot from the street, but when you actually walk up to the garden center, it is downright impressive. The staff was all incredibly friendly and ready to answer my questions. They have a membership card(for free) that will hook you up with specials, so definitely sign up for this. The prices at McDonald’s are fair, not the best I have seen in the area, but fair enough. I had such a good times walking around poking through the flowers and herbs and fruit trees. The greenhouse is ginormous and cozy at the same time. I will definitely be back, but I definitely still appreciate some of the seasonal pop up McDonald’s, especially the one at Red Mill/Nimmo. My Mom and I are that one like every week… LOL

Each visit to McDonald Garden Center makes me want to come back home with a giant tractor and plow and rip out all of the vegetation growing around my house. Instead, I’m just going to ask them if I can bring my furniture there and sleep in one of the smaller showrooms, or maybe the outdoor furniture section. To say that this place is inviting and refreshing is a severe understatement. A visit here feels more like strolling through a European garden park than pawing through a retail flower place. No matter what time of year I visit, everything seems freshly watered and full of life and color. They must have an entire staff of people that go around and toss anything that has the slightest bit of brown on it. If you are having one of those days/weeks/months/years/lifetimes, then stop in here for a bit, even if only for this reason: In the main outdoor garden area, McDonald has one of the largest wind chimes I’ve ever seen hanging from the huge tree. The sound coming from those massive pipes can quell any savage beast. Although I’ve never tried it, today I saw a sign that they do ‘Garden Consulting,’ so after I’m done with the plow act, I’m calling these guys up to help me put my yard back together, this time as something that is actually worth coming home to.

This is a very nice garden center, this is like a gardening theme park. So take the time to wander around. If they don’t have it you probably don’t need it or want it. The quality of the plants is superior to what you will find elsewhere, Home Depot or others. Their ever changing displays are quite nice. They have lots of classes for both kids and adults. Yes they are a little more expensive then other places but like I said the quality is worth it. The staff is plentiful, friendly and helpful. Here is the best part, the knowledge and experience of the staff is very impressive, unless you know a master gardener, yes their are such people, you would be hard pressed to find better resources.

Well, this place pretty much has everything. Even now, later in the game I went in for jalapeño pepper plants and they still had them. Other stores have been out for awhile now. I bought a lot of my herbs and tomato plants at the Navy Exchange as they were cheaper but man, you can’t beat the selection. When I went in today they even had pablano pepper plants and all tomatoes were on sale so I got 4 more plants. They also had all small herb plants 3 for $ 10 so I got Italian Oregano, Greek Oregano and Italian Tarragon. Enough about herbs, fruits and veggies, my wife bought something like 4 trays of flowers here as well to plant in front of our house. Again, the selection is just better than Home Depot of the NEX so this is where she got them. If you like gardening or just like fresh herbs, check this place out. It’s pretty awesome and far larger inside than it appears outside.

Tonight was the 2nd annual«Womens night out» event, and it was so wonderful to have all the local vendors there to show off their various special gifts. Lots of fun! They are always so helpful, and I ended up getting some Christmas Shopping done, and got some beautiful Camellias too. Great job! Thanks for holding this event!

Go with a lot of money because you will want to buy everything you see. McDonald Garden Center has a great selection of plants, flowers, vegetable plants, trees, and much more. Prepare to be overwhelmed with ideas when you walk through. During Christmastime they offer fresh wreaths, pine decorations and a large selection of Christmas trees. They also sell decorations and accessories for all your holiday trimmings. Everything I’ve bought here has been top quality for a great price.

Sometimes I go to McDonald Garden Center for the same reasons I might go to a beautiful park. I just like the feeling of rejuvenation I get from all the natural beauty. The place is just a smörgåsbord of flora, artfully arranged and displayed for your enjoyment. At Christmas time, I especially love to go in the greenhouse area, which is always decked out floor to ceiling in funky holiday trimmings and trees. Do not go to McDonald Garden Center looking for cheapest price in town. You probably won’t find it. But this IS a case of getting what you pay for. They are serious about gardening and it shows. The people who work there are knowledgeable and helpful and probably just as big of a garden geek as you. If you are just a beginning garden geek, they’ll get you going. They offer classes and workshops too. You’ll find everything you might a Lowe’s or Home Depot’s garden center and soooo much more. This is a locally owned business with three stores in all. It’s well worth a few extra dollars or cents on an item for the outstanding service and selection

I found this place on my own one day and stopped in just to see. I spent five minutes and went home to get my wife(an avid gardener) to have her stop whatever it was she was doing and come with me. When we got there, she didn’t know where to go first. It was like watching a kid in a toys-r-us for the first time. We wound up coming home with two trees, several shrubs, uncounted flowers and a whole bunch of tomato plants. Home Depot. Lowes. Kmart. Wal-Mart. None of them compare to McDonald’s Garden Center. If you’ll pardon the pun, this is hardly a McGarden Center, built exactly the same as thousands of other garden centers around the country attached to chain buildings. They’re not selling kitchens and baths, groceries and Linens; they’re a garden center. They focus on that and do it right. The others might have a few varieties of trees or shrubs. These guys have dozens. The size of their display area is a little overwhelming, and they fill every corner of it with beautiful, healthy trees, shrubs, flowers, vegetables… you name it. They also, of course, have just about any kind of, pots, tools, birdbaths, fountains, chemicals, fertilizers, mulch or garden enhancing item you can think of. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. If they’re unable to answer a specific question, they whip out a little handheld radio to get someone who can answer it to come help out. Bring a plant home, you have a 1 year guarantee on it. Get the McDonald’s membership card and it works a little like those grocery store cards — get extra money off certain purchases that you can’t get without the card. They also give you gift cards in spring based on what you bought during the year(I’m a little fuzzy on how that works, so I won’t go too far in-depth on that. Great place to find everything you could need for your yard and indoor plants. Their website… well, it’s there. It’s not very intuitive and it looks a bit like it’s stuck in the early 90s.
