Don’t sign up for the membership, especially if you are in the Military. Va Beach locations aren’t military friendly at all. Canx requires for you to be in person OR write a letter. In the military, our schedule is very unpredictable. Sorry I can’t be there in person to canx unless you open a Massage Luxe in the middle of the ocean… or Afghanistan… Thanks a lot for supporting the troops, Massage Luxe! I will never be a member again!

Josh gives a great massage! You will appreciate is professional massage. He has a great understanding of anatomy and how the human body works. I would recommend this.

I love this place! I’ve never had any of the problems the other reviews have described. I am an extremely picky customer and usually have at least one thing that I think could improve, but I have been thoroughly pleased with my visits. I use my monthly but I also make extra visits for multiple other kinds of appointments.
I’ve lived in this area for 8 years now and have tried the majority of other places that offer massages and I’ve landed on this place as my favorite! Knowledgable masseuses and beauticians make for some amazing massages and facials.

LuXe Spa, Williamsburg — Great facility, good location. LuXe’s management staff are not only professional with staff, but among themselves. Kimberly, Williamsburg Management is friendly, courteous and professional with the staff as well as the clients. I’ve seen their interaction and it is wonderful to see the organization among them as a team. Massage Therapist Kathy is «TOP». If you are looking for a professional therapist who is knowledgeable, skillful and offers relaxation, and you want to feel good at the same time after a message, she is your therapist! I would have given them 3 stars but I paid for an hour and they only massaged for 45 minutes. I was not hassled too much about joining as others were. The massage was decent but did not help my sore back. I went to Body Works by Gil in Chesapeake a couple days later and he fixed my back. I should have gone to Gil first…

I had my first experience with Massage Luxe last night and WOW — absolutely incredible. I have been to other massage places in the area and Massage Luxe is the best, by far. Everything from their lobby, rooms, therapists and customer service. I was experiencing extremely uncomfortable tension in my neck and back. I scheduled a 60 minute massage with their level 2 therapist, Theresa. She was very thorough and paid attention to my problem areas. Today, I feel like a whole new woman. I will definitely be going at least once a month from here on out. If it’s your first time, they offer an introductory rate of $ 38. You can’t beat that. Give Massage Luxe and try — you will not be disappointed.

I don’t suggest this place. My husband bought me a Groupon for my birthday which I was happy about. I made an appointment to use that and was not happy with the results. When walking in the front desk staff are not super friendly… it is almost like you are interrupting them by being there. When in reality you are the customer who is bringing in money to them. They almost seem annoyed when you don’t know how their business works (this was my first time there). They do not do anything to make you feel welcomed or important.
The person I saw claimed that he does not like to use massage oils on peoples back, he actually said something alone the lines I know this might be risky and painful. And YES it was… my back was burning the entire time he was working on it. It was painful in terms of it felt like skin was ripping, there was zero relaxation. I basically could not wait until the massage was over. Not the experience I was looking for.
Strangely enough I bought their monthly membership package and just knew I would see a different person next time. My second person was AMAZING! I actually fell asleep a few times and left feeling so relaxed and good. Then I went to book my next appointment and was informed she had left the business. Because she left I cancelled my membership that day.
This place is not worth going to. They are not friendly.

Only one of three massage therapists I tried was remotely adequate. And he left. Their contract-​lockin business model is not customer-​friendly at all. Nor is the front desk staff. I would never recommend this establishment. You will end up paying more than you think. And you will lose anything left on your account when you cancel… which they require in writing in person or via certified letter. Ridiculous.

I’ve been to a few massage spots in the past year and an half and Massage LuXe has provided me with the best experiences to date.
The staff are courteous. The massage therapists are skilled, and if you ask questions they will share their culminated knowledge with you. You can ask them anything and direct them to your trouble areas. No communication issues here. The facility is very nice, modern, comfortable and serene. The massage rooms are ideal of relaxation with dimmed lights and heated massage beds.
They provide hot green tea and bottled water in their quite waiting room along with reading material.
The prices are a bit steep for me, so this is a rare treat. I do feel like I get what I pay for though.

You get what you pay for I guess… I bought a Groupon and couldn’t wait until my appt. I made the appt Monday for Friday at 4pm. I showed up at 3:45pm to fill out the paperwork and was surprised at the attitude of the front desk. I was informed I didn’t have an appt and there must have been a mistake. She then told me, «You’re in luck! We have an opening at 4pm» The appt was with the therapist I had been confirmed with! I stated that the opening was with the therapist I had booked but I believe I had confused her.
I was able to finally get her to see the appt was mine and she then directed me to a waiting room. I finished my paperwork and proceeded to wait for 30min. A therapist came in, asked if I wanted an add on facial and when I declined, she left the room. It is now 4:30 and I still hadn’t been brought back for my appt.
I finally went out to the front desk to find the desk staff and my therapist chatting and laughing over something on the computer. When the front desk girl finally saw me, she made a gasp and exclaimed, «Oh no! I forgot to tell you you had an appt waiting!» to the therapist.
Needless to say, I left without my massage, I will not return and will DEFINITELY not recommend them to anyone

I’ve been here once before for a massage and really enjoyed it. I went today, however to get a Brazilian wax because my usual place (Smooth) was booked up. It was the most awkward waxing service I have ever had. When you’re lying on the table the only thing to look at is a light directly above your head which leaves you seeing spots, or a clock on the wall directly facing you. My esthetician might have introduced herself to me, but I don’t remember her name. I do remember her overt belly fat rubbing up and down my knees the entire process. She never spoke a word to me during the wax except to have me switch legs when the time came and roll over. At the end she told me there were a few hairs just starting to grow that she couldn’t get, I understand that happens sometimes. What I wasn’t prepared for was how many patches were just totally missed. After coming home I thought I was just going to have to shave, totally defeating the purpose of a wax. Also, an hour later a dark purple bruise developed right on my bikini line. I have never had bruising before from a wax. If the terrible wax wasn’t bad enough to scare you away, when I was putting back on my clothes my cell phone fell out of my pocket and under the table. When I bent down to retrieve it I saw a roach like bug crawling across the floor. Everything else seemed clean though, so I wouldn’t call it a ‘dirty’ place. Overall go here for massages, get a wax elsewhere!!!

Linda Williams was my therapist. She was AWESOME, caring and professional. Her touch and the flow of the massage was relaxing and nurturing. I meant to stay awake but I felt asleep because I was so comfortable. I will go back and ask for her whenever I am in Virginia Beach. Great experience! Enjoy!

I wish you could give this place a zero star rating. This place does not support the military and our chaotic schedules. I cancelled my membership in April when I came into the establishment for the last time. I had previously been on a monthly massage plan that was affordable. I left there and the next month they billed my credit card I called and was like WTH? The asst. manager «Able», informed me that all cancellations must be in writing (why this wasn’t told to me when I cancelled in person is beyond me). So he wanted me to send a certified letter requesting that I cancel my membership. Never mind the fact that at this point I’m on deployment and don’t have access to a US Post office. To make a long story short, I had to actually file a fraud claim with my bank in order to get them to stop taking my monthly dues and force them to refund me my money owed. When I spoke with «Able» he is condescending and quite rude, he think he is god because he is the Asst. Manager of a half way descent massage establishment. Customer Service sucks, and depending upon who your massage person is, could be a big waste of money. Its hit and miss with this place.

Not impressed. Wouldn’t go back. Customer service was poor. Receptionist was not informative or personable. «Hydro Massage» did nothing for me, waste of time. Facial was okay, nice lady… but I left with stuff still on my face and she didn’t tell me that I had huge dark circles under my eyes from my mascara running… you would think that the facial would have cleaned all that up = (Wish this place was better, would love to find a good spa.
