Carnitas were to die for. …average rice and beans. Barbados taco was my faorite! Excellent hole in the wall food and good prices. I used a certificate but good prices otherwise.

First off let me share that I LOVE food and I’m very open to trying new places. I just so happened to run into this place By accident and I don’t know if I would go back. So I got my kiddos the carne asada taco combo which came with beans and 4 tacos and I got myself the Carne asada platter which came with rice and refried beans. While I scarfed my food down I noticed that my kiddos weren’t enjoying their tacos as much as I was my own plate. I decided to taste their carne asada meat only to find out it was completely different tasting than mine … Weird maybe they used lower quality meat because it was a cheaper $$$ meal? Secondly the waitress literally handed me the ticket and WAITED right by the table until i signed the ticket … … Thirdly if you ask for water they will cheat you with a small bottle of water that goes down in 5 sips and its $ 1.25 lol… last and not least… No chips and salsa for free? What in the world? maybe I been spoiled but every time I have gone to other Mexican restaurants first serving of chips and salsa are on the house …

Coming from San Diego I have never found a great place in Virginia Beach where I could find a great taco or burrito. People have told me about other places but this place takes me back home. Tacos were fresh and the salsa was spicy just like home. I would come here anytime I miss my southern Californian Mexican food.

Exceptional carne asada burritos! I can’t begin to describe how good I felt when I bit into that burrito. I was in heaven! One of very few authentic restaurants in Virginia Beach/Norflok area. The Aqua Fresas are made just right, not watered down, very flavorful yet not insanely sweet. Wish the drink size was a little bit bigger but at least you get one free refill. The carne asada torta was good. They also offer very tasty Mexican fruit, candy, and baked goods for desert! Our server was very polite and helpful. Great customer service. Fast delivery! A little slice of Mexico. My biggest recommendation if you want to enjoy authentic Mexican food! New update: don’t know who made the burrito this time but it didn’t wow me like the first time. Something was missing. And I think they forgot to add cheese this time. But still a good place to eat authentic Mexican food.

Original Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes !!! Makes you feel like your at home with the delicious food, the excellent hospitality as soon as you walk in and the reassurance by the owners. With a variety of Micheladas for you to choose from and the many pineapple fruit botanas, your bound to really enjoy yourself !!! The original and hard to find food make it stand out in its own unique way !!! The corn on the stick with the butter and chile on it just brought back so many memories of when I was a lot younger. The food is simply delicious !!! Also available as you check out at the counter are many Mexican souvenirs, snacks, and candies for sale.

I noticed this place had opened not to long ago and decided to check it out. I’ve only been here once but I definitely felt like I was back in San Antonio Texas at a local taqueria. The owners were very nice and made sure to make rounds and check on their customers. I had the carne asada tacos and my husband had the chicharron plate however they weren’t cooked correctly so they were chewy but the owner caught it before us and didn’t charge us for the meal. The borracho beans tasted just like home but the seasoning on the carne asada was a tad salty for my likings. Overall the experience was awesome and we look forward to trying other entrees on their menu. Also, they do have some Mexican candies and other goodies you wouldn’t normally find here so I was definitely excited about that.
