K N Nails

So the woman I had gone to was the owner. I decided to give them another chance bc my mom continued to go there. You would think bc she was the owner she would be better then those who worked there. In this case it’s not true she’s very lazy when it comes to pedicures and does it half assed she does not get all the dead skin. Everyone else is amazing though. There’s one woman who I go to now regularly (can’t remember her name) and she definitely takes care of my feet. I now have no more problems with I ingrowns

I visited KN Nails on a Thursday before my trip to the beach because it was close to work and had good reviews. The technician who did my nails was very nice and helpful as was all of the staff and it was reasonably priced. By Monday 4 of my toenails had completely chipped off and by Tuesday my shellac nails were peeling up and one was chipped. Typically when I get my nails done before a beach vacation is lasts the normal 2 weeks so I was very disappointed– I’ve never had a manicure or pedicure go this quickly. The place is clean and the staff is great but the work itself did not last.

I came in today for a pedicure. Because, honestly, I just don’t feel like scrubbing the dead skin off my own feet and I can get it done here for $ 20 with some polish. I’m swearing off gel polish, since it’s rather damaging to your nails. My technician wasn’t as friendly as last time, but she did a good job snipping all over my toe tips. She brought out this massive scrubber thing (seriously, it looked like a cheese grater with a big ass handle) that made my heels feel amazing afterwards. Yes dear, you got your 20% tip!
My down side today was being up-​sold other services. I’ve got my feet in the warm, blue water and am texting. I don’t need to be asked if I want brow waxing.

Came here based on Unilocal reviews. The guy doing my nails said nothing to me the whole time. Except for the attitude he had when i asked if there was more nail color. He dug his finger nail into my nail bed, even I said ouch, he ignored and continued. Definitely will not be coming back. Would rather pay more elsewhere and recieve better service.

Second visit,
I decided to try again and requested a different nail tech. I got Tony today and boyyyyyyyy am I alot happier than I was the last time. He was pleasent and courteous. I’m loving my nail color this week.
I actually messed up a nail while walking out. He offered to redo the whole nail. I refused only because it was my fault and I had to run to work. But they fixed it to the best of their abilities and I’m completely satisfied with it.
I will definitely return and from this point on, I’ll request Tony.

The salon I usually go to was closed so I need to find another since I was attending a party that day & I ran across K N Nails.
2 of my nails had chipped off so I received an acrylic to evens out with the rest of my nails. I really wanted my nails to be even. He did an AWFUL job with shaping my nails. One was filed wayyyy too short, another was way too long, or it was filed way too much on the sides. Once he was done, another lady came to file it even but only so much can be done since too much was filed down with some of my nails. Besides the awful shaping, the nail tech did a great job. It’s been 2 weeks since I received a shellac & my nails still looks great. Pricing is really good for how long it lasted vs when I go to other salons.

This is the best place to go for your nails in Hampton Roads. They charge the same amount for men and women. Our last salon charged an extra 3.00 for my husband toes

My sister and I found this place on Unilocal earlier today after a mediocre experience at Empire Beauty School. We walked into K N Nails and were greeted immediately by a gentleman at one of the first desks to the left. He asked «How can I help you?» I told him that my younger sister wanted an acrylic nail set. We weren’t there for two minutes before he had begun. I loved that because I have always had really long, drawn-​out, torturous experiences at nail salons. Today was the perfect day to go seeing as it’s so dreary outside and everyone is either at work or inside.
My mother was concerned about the length of the nails because my sister is only a baby (12 years old to be exact), so the nail tech. asked us how short we wanted them. He clipped them once and they were still a little long, so we asked him to do a little more. He was happy to clip some more. After he was done applying the nails, he told her to rinse them and pick out her colors. We found a black, pink, and white leopard design online on my phone. My sister liked the design but wanted different colors. She chose black and green. I asked her if she wanted the white one too so she could alternate the nail colors or at least have one white nail on each hand. She said no. I figured it would look a little weird with just those two colors, but she’s a kid so I let her do her thing.
We went back to the nail technician’s station and showed him the photo. I’m not sure if he asked her if she wanted a white nail on each hand in addition to pink spots, or if he just went ahead and did it, but it ended up looking great. He worked super quickly and we were out of there within an hour and half. It may not have even been that long.
The price was reasonable, the service was quick, and the staff seemed pretty friendly and professional. My sister really loves her nails and if she can, I’m sure she would love to return. I must also add that my mother was pleased with both the length and design as well.

I must have gone on the wrong day or something, but I received mediocre service. The pedicure was ok, although the next day I got a hang nail in my toe. Manicure was rushed and no massage whatsoever, I requested gel manicure which costs $ 20 additional and an hour after I left the facility, the nail Polish started to chip. I went back to get it repaired the next day and the owner was pretty rude about it and questioned if I even got it there. After I showed him the receipt, he fixed the chipped polish. Two days later I have more chipped polish… I had gel manicures done in other places and they have lasted for 2 weeks! I feel that I wasted my money

I think this is the best nail salon in the area! I always have the best experience with K N Nails. Best part — they’re less than 5 minutes away from my house!
Although I have had mani/​pedis done here before, i am reviewing based on the experiences I’ve had with eyebrow waxing. No appointment is needed. The same woman always does my eyebrows and she always does an excellent job. And you can’t beat the price — $ 8! That sure beats having to tweeze your eyebrows yourself!

I went to see Kim again today and I really think she is one of the best nail techs ive been to in a long time. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Nice place very friendly they don’t rush you or anything and always very good work
