So while waiting for my place to be ready I’m forced to stay in one of these joints for a couple of weeks. One of the major reasons I picked this over a hotel is because it says stove and fridge. This is the one on Mercury in Hampton Va. So far it’s been one thing after another. Yes I know you get what you pay for but money is tight and I was trying to get the most for it. The internet is slow as hell.(it says super fast internet) half the channels on the tv stay frozen or out all day, Tried to boil some eggs for breakfast NEITHER one of the eyes on the stove work. tried to call the front day the phone is dead! Used my cell to call several times no one answers at the front desk, it rings and rings but no one answers then it disconnects you! I wish I could show these people how to run a business, its sad!!! If you are used to staying at nice hotels like the Marriott, or Westin hotels like me don’t come here. It’s cheap linen, cheap plain décor, cheap squeaky bed, and paper I mean PAPER thin walls. I can hear the person next door snoring just as loud as if they were in my bed! I would never come back.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 months. Overall, you get what you pay for. Picture a motel with a very small kitchen, that’s your room. It is a very simple and a small room with nothing fancy. Sometimes you can hear neighbors next to you, but mostly it’s pretty quite. The location is good, close to Walmart. Starbucks is few feet away from the apartment. Customer service was always good to us. Especially Renee at the front seat was extremely kind and helpful to us. Overall, If you don’t mind some outdated furniture and a very small room(for two people), then this place is a good choice if you have to be in this location for a short period of time because of their weekly option(no lease). I enjoyed staying here for the time I needed, but I’m also glad to go back to what I’m used.

You definitely get what you pay for at this place, but it was worth it for us. My husband and I needed a reasonably place to stay for a week and this was by far the best price I could find in the Virginia Beach area. The place isn’t anything special. The beds are hard with cheap linen, cheap towels, but it was very clean which is by far the most important thing to me. We were in the process of moving so we just took the comforter off the bed and used our own blanket, and used our own towels so it was perfect! They have room service once a week, provide the first of the toiletries, and you have to take all your trash out when you leave. Oh and the wifi is terrible so if you’re needing internet you’re going to have to go somewhere else for that. If you’re looking for something reasonably priced and mostly nice this is the place to go. I’m really glad we booked here.

The location of Intown Suites is behind a Golden Corral and Starbucks. You may have to make a u-turn to get there since there isn’t an appropriate intersection to get there. This place has a security officer stationed at the reception building. This place is great for extended stays. Has a shower, fridge, stove top, sinks and a flat screen w/cable. The bed is okay. The AC/heating system is underneath the window panel. It’s clean. However, when I first came in– the room reeked of this annoying cleaning agent. It got to the point where I got headaches and discomfort. The 2nd day I complained about the smell and I was recommended to turn on all the fans and let the windows open. I did just that– and after awhile the room became breathable. The only real downside is indeed the wifi and the paper-thin walls. I had a difficult time sleeping because the neighbors next door thought it was cute to have their kids awake after midnight… Gets the job done.

I should let the rating speak for itself, but let me just reiterate — you get what you pay for. Highly recommend you spend a little more and go elsewhere. –first, there is a disconnect between online reservations and on-site office. 2 months prior, we reserved a room with 2 beds online. When we arrived, they only had a small one bed available — no explanation, no fix, no empathy. –second — the noise. It felt like the whole building trembled when somebody heavy footed walked the catwalks. Walls are very thin, could hear everything. Between the noise and sleeping on the floor — not a restful place. –No customer care practiced here. Despite our online«reservation» period logged for a 1-month period, as well as our informing the front desk at check-in about our intention to stay for 1 full month, and willingness to pay for that month up front, we were told we can only pay in 1-week intervals. The following Friday, when rent was due, I was 10 minutes late to pay up — yes, only 10 minutes. I was immediately confronted with my bill along with an$ 25 late fee. When I questioned, the clerk said nothing as she pulled out the pamphlet we received at check-in, underlining the late fee. Forget courteous, how about just being civil. I’ve seen more personality at the DMV. That was all we needed to check out immediately. Intown Suites — never again if my life depended on it. Again I reiterate — you get what you pay for. Ended up paying a tad bit more for a place just across the highway — the difference was night and day, and so worth every penny.
