Well I came here for a late lunch with the wife expecting the same goodness that I always expect and to say the least I was thoroughly disappointed. First of everything that made Fidos great has changed dramatically, the buns taste very meh and the new hot dogs are sub par or cooked differently to where it was sadly underwhelming and worse of all the chili is just flat out terrible. It lacked any flavor, was very watery, and they skimped out on it on the hot dog and chili cheese fries which I was actually grateful for, as it was that bad. The fries were fries so there is that, but it is sad to say I will never be returning here and honestly cannot see the viability of this place as much as it pains me to say. I will sadly miss fidos for what it once was and not what it has become but it looks like I will only be giving my business to famous uncle Al’s from here on out…

This place used to be great! New owners as of November 1st. They are very nice(which is the only reason they got two stars) but wow. Three tries and couldn’t get a hot dog order right. Tea wasn’t good either! And a beef hot dog sure seemed like a smoked sausage to me. I wish the lovely ladies luck but it wasn’t good to me. I miss the old Fido’s!

Texas toast with bacon, egg and cheese was delicious but the bean soup was served cold and didn’t look like a soup in any angle. It could have been little thinner and hotter, there was taste but it just not in right temperature and consistency. Overall great staff. Would love to go back.

Great little place. Came for breakfast. It was fast, tasty and not expensive at all. The staff were super nice. Looking forward to coming back one day and actually try their hot dogs.

This mom and pops is my go to in the morning for a read and the $ 3.99 special. I love the pancakes. The type of pancakes that you wouldn’t need syrup to accommodate

The Wife and I decided to try out Fido’s today. They are located about a block off of I-64 and the Indian River Road exit. First thing of note is how clean and well maintained the diner is. Also, there were 3 folks working on the day I came in, and all 3 were friendly and engaging. The service was great. They have some great specials also at low prices. I had the combo with 2 hotdogs, fries + a drink, my wife had the crispy chicken sandwich combo. Food was cooked up in quick order and it was a nice meal at a great price. — I have only a couple pointers that I think would make Fido’s even better: 1) Soda fountain so that sodas can be served from a fountain machine vice canned soda with glass and ice. 2) Possibly some fresh potatoes and one of them cutting machines that makes home fries out of fresh potatoes. Overall, I loved the atmosphere, and the super affordable prices. We will be back again and I recommend trying them out!

I really enjoyed this place, its close to work, the 5 $ for 10 $ value deal was great, Food was on point and it really has a small town family owned vibe to it. The hotdogs had a good snap to them when you bite in and the burgers were very tasty as-well. I will be back very soon!

Love Fido’s snap dogs! Only wish they were open later in the evening so I could eat there more often. My husband and his work buddies have lunch there most Fridays and I’ve heard no complaints! Very clean and pleasant place!

I discovered Fidos after moving into the area. I have every other Friday off and its become somewhat of a tradition. Friday’s are Bogo days. But there is a trick, like you got to buy fries or something. But after 2 hot dogs, fries, drink and a tip for the pleasant and eager staff I pay about 7 or 9 bucks(I haven’t been in about a month because I am trying to lose a couple pounds to get back in speedos for summer, so i apologize if there are details i can’t remember). The all the way dog, or whatever they call it, is an all meat dog in natural casing(otherwise known as the«snap dog» because of the distinct noise it makes when you bite into it) topped with yellow mustard, onions and fantastic homemade(i think) chili sauce. I give it an extra hit with the Texas Pete or Tabasco that sits on the table, boy you are talking. Soft drinks are served in cans, so you don’t get to sit there and refill a 24 oz plastic cup over again with mountain dew and orange fanta suicides and top it off when you leave, but they seem more liberal with their iced tea which is brewed fresh. They always have a home made soup of the day. I hear they are really good, I’ve never tried one though, as I don’t care too much for soup, it just seems like a rich chunky drink to me. But I hear they do well with it, and people seem to like their pulled pork. Honestly, i just go for the dogs and that’s probably all i’ll ever eat. The place seems to always be super clean and has a happy bright décor and retro atmosphere. So all in all it is my favorite place for an indulgent, inexpensive, friendly and tasty all american type lunch.
