It was a hot and humid day all day, and I was craving something cold and sweet late at night! The place closes at 11pm in town center. Ordered a «like it» size with my favorite, «Founders Favorite» consisted of pecans, brownie, fudge syrup, caramel, and Sweet cream ice cream. That hit the spot, the texture from the pecans, and the 2 syrups mixed in withe the brownie, it reminds me if Rocky road, but way better!!! My go-to Ice cream place in Town center!!!

I love cold stone. I always get the Banana caramel crunch, its my favorite. Although the last time I came here and after I left with my ice cream I noticed that they used bananas that weren’t ripe. There is nothing worse than eating bitter, unripened fruit, especially bananas. I’ll definately be back but I’ll be checking the bananas before they put them in my ice cream.

My husband and I went here after an event at Sandler Center and walked in a few minutes before closing. We were told by the manager that they couldn’t serve us because she needed to leave«on time». No explanation of why they hadn’t locked the door(probably because it wasn’t closing time). So we didn’t get our overpriced ice cream cone that night. No cheerful staff, no singing and no customer service. We’ve gone here regularly when we are in Town Center — won’t go back.

What can I say? Another Cold Stone Creamery. Very convenient location being in the epicenter of Town Center. The people are extremely friendly and their ice cream and cakes are on point.

Bought a groupon for this location and they would not honor it. Won’t be back. The groupon had expired and was just worth the face value but they wouldn’t accept it.

Does not accept grupons that’s not good most of the restaurants in town center accepts them, it was my main purpose and my customer service was sub-par

It’s been a really long time since I ventured in a Cold Stone Creamery. This is the first time that I recall hitting up the area’s only location in Town Center Virginia Beach. The store is directly across from Brook Bros. on the main drag. Parking is either by street, or parking garage beside the establishment. The good news is parking in the garage is FREE. A nice wide sidewalk leads up to the front entrance. A couple of small tables are positioned directly in front of the store for enjoying your ice cold treats. Upon entering my family was greeted by a couple of young high school age boys smiling. The place is much smaller than I expected with just a few tables inside. A few customers were in the process of ordering. The long counter that the employees work behind is where all the action is, so let the kids up front. The staff began singing little catchy tunes that were quite amusing. I don’t recall this being a part of the chains schtick. I found the dining room to be tidy and also used the facilities and also found them to be in order. We looked over the menu and decided on waffle bowls which seemed somewhat pricey to me. But hey, this was a special treat for the kids and I did not mind the splurge. The boy that waited on us was very nice and patient with the kids as they decided on what ice cream and order. Cold Stone is known for it’s huge selection of toppings, so it could take the little ones some time to choose. It ended up being mint chocolate chip for both kids with several toppings. The fun has just begun. So with the ice cream and topping you choose it’s moved over to the ice cold marble top to create a pocket that the toppings are mixed in. The kids will enjoy watching the action and there is a clear view for them to do so. Beware, more impromptu singing could take place at anytime as it did for us. We enjoyed our treats inside and the kids loved a different type of experience than say a DQ. I found the ice cream to be good, but not the best I have had in my life. With the options to choose from on toppings and the process of mixing them, it’s about Cold Stone Creamery’s experience. I think you will like it, I know our family did and will be back.

I used to come to this place a lot years ago… back when they would happily greet you & all. I visited this place a few days ago… on a weekday… During the early afternoon… in the winter… when I walked in the counter girl was listening to two women about placing an order«in the future» for cupcakes or cookies in their to go fridge… both women didn’t seem to know what they wanted as they kept going back and forth and discussing their options among themselves, the counter girl seemed to be standing there and watching the women go back & forth…5 minutes pass…(I’m the only other person there mind you)…10 mins pass…(with no «I’ll be with you in a moment or anything similar) finally the women decide that they will come back some other time and the counter girl finally comes over to wait on me, she didn’t apologize for the extended wait but she took my order, made it, & rang me up… the ice cream was great as always… but I’m not sure if she was just inexperienced or … but it wouldn’t have been too hard to multitask…

Husband and I went on a Friday night, Town Center was busy as usual. There was a line when we walked in and one poor girl rushing around trying to do everything by herself. She was trying her hardest to make everyone happy but the managers should be smart enough to put more than 1 person on a weekend night shift. Oh and don’t bother trying to be good and get the yogurt. It’s incredibly icy and has no taste.

Only one person working the counter on a summer night… slow…slow…slow…heard voices in the back… doesn’t the customer come first… Get your butt up and take care of your paying customers! Not that the girl was slow… but mixing the peanut butter and stuff took time! Then… the prices are a bit high for what you get! Thank goodness I did not have a bunch of kids! I didn’t even care for the sherbet… it was too creamy… more like ice cream… not even refreshing. I guess I don’t get the charm of this place… way over rated!

Ever feel that something is kinda cheesy and annoying and you just roll your eyes and wish it would stop — kinda like when your mom gushes about you in public. But then, when she doesn’t do it anymore and you start to notice and say«Hey, why doesn’t she do that anymore?» That’s kinda how I used to feel about the singing at Cold Stone. Cheesy! Roll of eyes… But I walked into Cold Stone yesterday and What?! No singing? Am I not as adorable anymore? However, their main product: the ice-cream is still excellent as ever which is why they get 4 stars. I got chocolate, cake batter and sweet cream all mixed together. Can’t find that anywhere else. Cold Stone — you’ve lost that loving feeling.

The first time I ever stepped foot into a Cold Stone Creamery was at this location back in 2004. I thought to myself, «what a magical place.» There are 6 people behind the counter making ice cream and singing every time someone gave a tip of over a dollar. My favorite was a parody of the Flintstone’s theme song. Fast forward to 2011 and there are 3 people behind the line and the singing has stopped. The ice cream and shakes are still wonderfully delicious, but that extra level of service that was profiled on shows like 60 Minutes, is gone, at least at this location anyway. I came hoping to relive some of that magic but I was a bit disappointed. But I was prepared for it. Of all the Cold Stones I’ve been to in SoCal, not a single one had singing employees. No acknowledgment when you walk through that door either. I was prepared to not be greeted with magic but I did have a glimmer of hope. So I wasn’t that disappointed when it didn’t happen…

I am not a big ice cream person and yes, i know… it’s a travesty. Every once in a blue moon I will get a craving for ice cream but it is not something that happens very often. One night I was down in the Virginia Beach Town Center and this craving hit me like a ton of bricks. I had never been to a Cold Stone before but of course I’d always heard a lot of things about this ice cream shop. They had a special ice cream the night I was in — blueberry batter. The ice cream was so good, I can’t remember what mixer I got(I think it was ‘Nilla Wafers) but the ice cream itself was just about perfect. They have a ton of ice cream to choose from — there are things you can put together yourself or creations that have already been set up by Cold Stone. There are tons of topping to choose from as well, which is kind of the fun part in my opinion. The ice cream here isn’t cheap but it’s worth it for a once in a blue moon treat!
